Are We Containing The Wrong Country?

Our worthless wars for the last several decades have been about containing this country or that…..our present conflict is about containing Iran and its influence in the Middle East….but is it possible we are containing the wrong country?

An excellent point comes out of the small country of Oman on the boot of the Arabian peninsula and at the mouth of the Strait of Hormuz…..

Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi penned an op-ed for the French outlet Le Monde on Tuesday. The article was a call for a new political and security architecture in the Gulf region, and served as a clear indictment not only for the current, disastrous war of choice that the United States and Israel initiated against Iran, but of forty-seven years of Western policy in the Gulf region.

The attention-grabbing statement comes when al-Busaidi notes the fundamental flaw of international policy in the Gulf was that it treated Iran as an existential threat to the security of the gulf region. In fact, he argues, the real threat comes from “decisions that are made in Tel Aviv.”

Unfortunately, although al-Busaidi is correct in his assertion, he merely states it as fact. He does nothing to support that point. That is a sorely missed opportunity.

Al-Busaidi has some genuine cache in diplomatic circles. He was the negotiator who managed to win a deal between the U.S. and Iran in February that would have significantly limited Iran’s nuclear program and allow for intrusive inspections. Donald Trump chose to blow that deal up by attacking Iran instead, at the behest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

If al-Busaidi had decided to use some of that credibility to elaborate on why Israel is the threat to Gulf stability rather than Iran, it would have been impactful.

I totally agree with the foreign minister’s analysis and if you look at the history of the Middle East then a smart person will agree as well.

Israel has been the cause of more civilian deaths than any other country in the region…..they have attacked and destroyed in the name of security, which is a false narrative.

Sadly Israel will always have a free hand as long as the US is controlled by AIPAC money and a lame religious dogma.

It’s Mine!

For many years Israel has had its way with Lebanon, Syria and parts of Palestine….and now that the US is doing its bidding it has expanded its borders through armed conflict.

Even if there is a peaceful solution Israel has made it clear that it will not give up any territory it has killed for….

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz told US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth in a call on Thursday that Israel won’t withdraw from Gaza, Syria, or Lebanon, according to a statement from the Israeli minister’s office.

According to The Jerusalem Post, Katz “emphasized Israel’s determination to remain in security zones in Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon to protect Israel’s borders and nearby communities from ‘threats posed by jihadist forces.’”

Katz added that Israel has “never asked the US to act in our place along our borders. We are committed to protecting the residents of Israel from every threat, and that is what we intend to do.”

The conversation came a few days after Katz said that Israel won’t leave Gaza even if Hamas disarms and that it would establish three “Nahala outposts,” a type of Jewish settlement that starts as a community for IDF soldiers with the goal of turning it into a permanent civilian community.

Axios recently reported that President Trump had asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to start “redeploying” forces from parts of Syria and Lebanon, though there’s no sign the US is concerned about Israel’s expanding occupation and continued attacks in Gaza despite the operations being a blatant violation of the US-backed ceasefire deal.

After the Trump-Netanyahu call, Netanyahu’s office said that the Israeli leader “raised the need for security zones along Israel’s borders,” and there’s no sign that Israel is planning to pull back or that the US is putting real pressure on Israel to do so. The Axios report noted that senior Israeli ministers want to establish settlements in southern Lebanon and southwest Syria.

In their call on Thursday, Katz and Hegseth also discussed Iran as the war between the US and the Islamic Republic continues to rage. So far, there’s no sign that Israel has joined in on the US attacks, though Katz and other Israeli officials have repeatedly stated that the IDF is ready to do so.

This merger would integrate the United States and Israeli occupation militarily, including “data fusion”, “network integration”, research and development, weapons and bio-manufacturing, and collaboration with AI, cyber, and quantum machine learning technologies. While the Israeli occupation forces and US military are already deeply connected and share many of their genocidal tactics, this represents a significant entanglement of the two most belligerent and murderous militaries in the world.

If passed, this would be the most integrated the United States is with any country on earth. It is perhaps unsurprising for Israel to be that partner, given it is a proxy for the United States used to entrench its hegemony in the region and provide a base for attacks, particularly against Iran. The Israeli occupation is totally reliant on the United States. The US has given Israel at least $300 billion in military money since 1948. It uses US-made weapons, relies on training and intelligence from the US, and is armed by many US citizens. So just like when the Trump administration re-named the “Department of Defense” to the “Department of War”, this is yet another overt action that reveals the reality that has always been there.

Is It 86 47?

In case you have no idea about 86 47…..Merriam-Webster says “86” is restaurant industry-derived slang which means “to throw out,” “to get rid of,” or “to refuse service to,” while noting that it has also recently been used to mean “to kill.” Meanwhile “47” may be used as a reference to Trump, the 47th U.S. President.

I bring this up because Israel is stringing Donny on and lying to get him to continue the attacks on Iran.

Israel has reportedly warned Washington that Iran is actively plotting to assassinate the US president, adding a new layer of tension to the already volatile conflict between the United States and Tehran. The Wall Street Journal reports that Israeli intelligence pointed to a fresh plan targeting President Trump, who ordered the 2020 killing of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani. Iran has long vowed revenge, though it hasn’t commented on the latest allegation; Israel also declined to discuss it publicly. Trump himself hinted at the threat while speaking to reporters in the Turkish city of Ankara on Wednesday.

“They want to take out the US leader—me,” he noted. “I’m on every single one of their lists. And so far, I guess I’ve been a little bit lucky, but that maybe doesn’t last very long.” He added that he speaks openly about the risks to his life “a lot, because the life of a president is very dangerous,” per USA Today. On his flight back to the US this week after attending a NATO summit in Turkey, which shares a border with Iran, reporters asked Trump why they were told to keep the shades drawn on the first leg of their flight to the UK, to which Trump replied it was probably due to the “sleazebags over here,” an apparent reference to Iran, per the AP.

The revelation comes as Trump’s relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shows strain, per the Journal. Netanyahu has pushed for sustained military pressure on Iran, while Trump has advocated dialing back the conflict, warning of economic fallout and backing a shaky ceasefire reached last month. The two leaders spoke on Thursday and pledged continued coordination, according to Netanyahu’s office. The news comes as public chants in Iran—most recently at the funeral of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, where a banner read “We Will Kill Trump”—underscore the risk of further escalation.

Will Donny be taken in by Israeli lies….when they need something from the US they make up a story to help their cause.

Talks Postponed (Go Figure)

Israel said it did not like the deal with Iran and that they would wreck it as soon as possible.

Well that was quicker than I had thought….

Israel’s military said Friday its forces struck targets throughout southern Lebanon overnight as Hezbollah reported intense fighting in the area, threatening the nascent agreement between Iran and the United States to end their war. Talks planned for Friday in Switzerland between Iran and the US, which Vice President JD Vance had been scheduled to attend, were postponed as the fighting intensified. Mediators worked to reschedule the meetings crucial for starting talks over a permanent end to the Iran war, with much of the attention focused on Lebanon, regional officials said.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Lebanon rose sharply. Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported at least 18 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes, which the Israeli military said were ongoing. Israel said four of its soldiers had been killed in fighting in southern Lebanon, including a lieutenant colonel. An explosive drone attack hurt another five, it added.

  • Continued fighting in Lebanon could unravel the newly signed deal, which calls for an immediate halt to military operations “on all fronts, including in Lebanon,” where Israel has been battling the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group, and for ensuring Lebanon’s “territorial integrity and sovereignty.”
  • The deal aims to end the war and has reopened the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping, while bringing the US and Iran back to the negotiating table over Tehran’s nuclear program. Israel and Hezbollah are not parties to the agreement. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who faces elections later this year, has refused to withdraw.   • Two regional officials, speaking to the AP on condition of anonymity to discuss the closed-door talks, said mediators were focused on calming the fighting in Lebanon. One said Iran pulled out of the Switzerland meeting specifically over the fighting and Netanyahu’s comments, describing them as violating the interim deal between Iran and the US. Two other regional officials, similarly speaking on condition of anonymity, described Pakistan as being “stunned” by Iran’s decision not to go to the talks Friday.
  • The AP reports that Vance had been prepared to make an overnight flight Friday to meet with his Iranian counterparts at a mountainside resort in a tiny Swiss village and begin the technical talks. His staff and a small pack of journalists had even gathered at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington in anticipation of the trip. Meanwhile, dozens of White House officials, advance staffers, and more media gathered in Switzerland to prepare for Vance’s anticipated arrival. “The logistics of these negotiations have never been simple or predictable,” the White House said in a statement after the trip was abruptly called off.

It will be interesting to see just how Donny takes his master plan of a deal will shape out while Israel continues it’s blood lust for civilian deaths in Lebanon.

It Was A Matter Of Time

Before the Sharpie is even dry on the ceasefire deal with Iran Israel is doing what many of us thought they would do….be a thorn in the ass of the world.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that Israel’s military will stay in southern Lebanon, where it has occupied up to 6 miles from the border. In his first comments since the US-Iran deal was signed, Netanyahu said Israel must “maintain a security zone in southern Lebanon, and it requires that we must not leave there as long as Israel’s security needs require it,” the AP reports. He has made similar comments in the past about Israel’s refusal to withdraw from southern Lebanon.

The US-Iran deal to end the war in the Middle East, signed overnight, also calls for an end to the war in Lebanon, where Israel has been fighting the militant Hezbollah group, but it’s unclear what that means in practice. Speaking to a Hezbollah-aligned Lebanese news outlet Thursday, a spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry said a continued Israeli military presence in Lebanon would mean the “annulment” of the memorandum of understanding, the Times of Israel reports.

“It was not acceptable for us to abandon our brothers in Lebanon,” the spokesman said. “We cannot talk about ending the war while parts of Lebanese territory remain under the occupation of the Zionist entity. As long as the occupation continues, it can be said that the war is still in place and has not ended in essence.” President Trump has repeatedly criticized Netanyahu and Israel’s military actions in Lebanon in recent weeks. Israeli sources tell Reuters that Israel is holding “stubborn” talks with the US over extending the Lebanon deployment.

Many of us knew this was coming….Israel will not stop its pathetic imperial desires.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is aiming to influence the terms of the final US-Iran deal through pro-Israel “right-wing” media figures, CNN reported on Thursday, citing an Israeli official.

The only media figure mentioned by name in the report was Mark Levin, a long-time radio broadcaster and Fox News host, who is extremely pro-war and pro-Israel and has been harshly critical of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding to end the conflict.

Levin suggested in a post on X on Thursday that the US should pursue a different strategy to get through the midterm elections and then restart the war.

Time for a change in strategy. We should consider slow walking the enemy, building up our munitions, our oil reserves, get the price of gasoline down, get through the midterms, then knock them out,” Levin said. “Instead of rushing to a deal, building up their oil industry, transferring billions to them, etc.”

During the US-Israeli bombing campaign against Iran, Trump defended Levin from criticism from other conservative commentators who opposed the war. “Mark Levin, a truly Great American Patriot, is somewhat under siege by other people with far less Intellect, Capability, and Love for our Country,” Trump said in a long post on Truth Social in March.

News From The Middle East

We have heard all the lies about a ceasefire and apparently Israel does not want any progress on that front for they just keep attacking Lebanon trying to turn it in Gaza…..

Israel said Monday that Iran had launched missiles targeting it, hours after Israel launched airstrikes targeting central and western Iran in response to missile fire from Tehran. The exchange of strikes threatened to drag the wider Middle East back into a regional war, the AP reports. Sirens sounded in central Israel, and the government urged the public to seek shelter. Explosions could be heard in central Israel as Israeli air defenses sought to intercept the incoming Iranian fire. Iran did not immediately acknowledge the attack. Meanwhile, the White House did not respond to messages about Israel’s strikes and whether they were done in coordination with the US.

Iranian state television reported the sound of explosions being heard in Isfahan, Karaj, Tabriz, and Tehran, without immediately elaborating. A witness in Tehran described hearing at least one large blast somewhere to the west of the country’s capital city. Iran closed the airspace around Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport, the country’s main airfield, after the Israeli attack. Sirens sounded across Israel on Monday after its military said a missile launched from Yemen targeted the country, without elaborating. Israel’s rescue services said there were no reports of casualties or impacts from the launch from Yemen.

Israel is using Lebanon as an excuse for Iran and their unwarranted attacks….typical bullshit from these cowards.

Then in an interview on Sunday Donny made one of his BS pronouncements….’never promised no new wars’….

President Trump now says a central theme of his assurances to voters was never actually a promise. In a Meet the Press interview that aired Sunday, Trump rejected the idea that he ever pledged “no new wars,” telling NBC‘s Kristen Welker, “I didn’t promise anything.” He argued that his push to build what he called the “strongest military in the world” undercuts the notion that he guaranteed he’d avoid fighting. Trump insisted he dislikes “endless wars” but cast the current confrontation with Iran as short term, saying, “We’re there for a few months and the threat is largely over.”

Of course that interview did not go well for Donny had to slip back into his accusation mode….and walk out.

On a side note…..

It’s the strange world of international espionage: The US has long understood that Israel is going to do a little spying on America, and it’s acceptable as long as they don’t overdo it. Now, multiple reports suggest they’re overdoing it. The Pentagon has ramped up the counterintelligence threat posed by ally Israel to “critical,” the highest level, reports the New York Times and NBC News. A big factor is the Iran war: Intelligence assessments warn that Israeli agencies have significantly stepped up efforts to monitor top US negotiator Steve Witkoff, Pentagon policy chief Elbridge Colby, and other American authorities. One senior US official describes Israel’s aggressive moves as “unhinged,” per the Times.

Defense Intelligence Agency report cited by both outlets says Israel’s threat level was recently raised from “high” to the top tier, citing attempts to plant listening devices at DIA headquarters and in a Secret Service vehicle, and spyware found on US defense personnel phones in Israel. It wasn’t clear if a specific incident prompted the upgraded threat level, or if it was a culmination of all of the above. The warnings arrive with US-Israeli military cooperation at unprecedented levels, given the extensive intelligence-sharing and joint war planning against Iran. For the record, the Pentagon declined comment, a White House official called the account false, and Israel’s embassy denied spying on US officials.

It is not bad enough that Israel owns our election process  now they are engaged in massive spying on their ‘ally’ (I use the word loosely for the US is a tool not an ally).

Things are pretty normal in the Middle East….normal for a Donny government that is…..

Section 224

Section 224?

Buried in the House’s version of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) released on Tuesday, is section 224, entitled “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.” The provision would arguably do more to intertwine the U.S. military with the Israeli military than the more than $200 billion (inflation adjusted) in military assistance Israel has received from the U.S. since its founding in 1948.

Section 224 lays the groundwork for bilateral research and development, co-production of weapons, joint ventures, licensing agreements, and seemingly every manner of U.S.-Israeli military-industrial complex cooperation. The U.S. and Israel already work together heavily on missile defense, but this provision would greatly expand coordination to seemingly every area of defense tech, including AI, quantum, autonomous systems, directed energy, cyber, biotech, and many more. It also proposes “network integration” and “data fusion.” In other words, the U.S. military’s data could soon be the Israeli military’s data.

Is this a good idea?

I know the US is at the mercy of Israeli ash but to give them this much sway over our military is unheard of and unprecedented.

Section 224 would be a different beast entirely. It would fuse the U.S. and Israeli defense sectors in multiple areas vital to the battlefields of the future, like autonomous systems and cyber. It would also bring extraordinary Israeli influence to the U.S. beyond what it already has through the Israel lobby and its robust network of social media influencers. It would give the Israeli government the opportunity to greatly expand one of the most powerful levers of influence in U.S. politics: jobs in the U.S. By expanding or starting new co-production facilities like it already has in Mississippi and Arkansas, the Israeli government could boast of providing jobs on U.S. soil, thereby securing allies among members of Congress who represent the districts where those jobs lie.

The result could well be a U.S. political system even more susceptible to the whims of an Israeli government that seemingly has no qualms about drawing the U.S. into military conflicts in the Middle East.

Donny Has A Plan For The Middle East

AS you can imagine it is a plan that will not bring peace in the Middle East but it will give Israel more power than it deserves.

President Trump has made a new pivot in Iran peace talks: He’s now pitching a sweeping reset of Middle East relations that would widen a regional pact from his first term called the Abraham Accords. Trump wants more Muslim-majority countries to formally recognize or deepen ties with Israel, and he specifically called out Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan as targets for inclusion. He added that Iran itself could join once it signs a peace deal, asserting that the widened pact would be “the most important Deal” those countries would ever sign. Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates are the current signees, notes the Washington Post.

A Wall Street Journal analysis points out that the idea could give Trump an out with hawkish Republicans who have blasted the emerging Iran framework as too soft and too similar to the Obama-era nuclear deal Trump scrapped in his first term. Sens. Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and ex–national security adviser John Bolton all have warned the proposal could bolster Tehran. Graham, however, quickly pivoted to cheer Trump’s Abraham Accords expansion plan as “simply brilliant” and potentially transformative for the region. A New York Times analysis similarly notes that if “more countries sign up to the accords, it could placate some Iran hawks who have criticized Mr. Trump for pursuing a peace deal.”

The major obstacle: the countries Trump is pressuring. Saudi Arabia has repeatedly said it won’t normalize relations with Israel without a credible path to Palestinian statehood—something even more remote after Israel’s devastating campaign in Gaza and clashes with Iran. Pakistan’s defense minister already has rejected the idea of joining, notes the Times of India. Qatari officials likewise signaled they’re not on board and would only engage Israel on resolving the Palestinian issue. Trump’s vision is “a hope tethered to a galaxy far, far away,” Aaron David Miller, a former Middle East negotiator now at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, tells the Journal. Gulf leaders risk public backlash if they move closer to Israel under current conditions, he says.

This is just another attempt to give Israel the lead in the Middle East….a country that thinks genocide is a good option for settling grievances.

These Accords give Israel everything and peanuts to everyone else involved.

I say screw Israel….the sooner this parasite is put in its place the sooner peace can be achieved in the Middle East….Israel has never held up to any of its commitments to peace in the region ….why would this one be any different?

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has sparked a diplomatic firestorm, drawing a rebuke from 14 countries after expressing support for the idea of Israel taking over land stretching from Egypt to Iraq during an interview with Tucker Carlson.

Huckabee made the comments when pressed on his Christian Zionist view that the modern state of Israel has the divine right to the land that it controls. Carlson asked how far that goes, pointing out that the promise God made to Abraham in Genesis suggests his descendants would have all the land between the Euphrates and the Nile Rivers, which includes Israel, Palestine, Jordan, and parts of Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

“It would be fine if they took it all,” Huckabee said. When pressed further, Huckabee insisted that Israel wasn’t trying to take that land, but the idea of a “Greater Israel” has support within the Israeli government, and Israel currently occupies parts of Syria and Lebanon, and continues to expand illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank and its occupation of more than 50% of Gaza.

In response to Huckabee’s comments, a joint statement was released by the foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, as well as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Organization of Islamic States, and the Arab League.

The countries expressed “their strong condemnation and profound concern regarding the statements made by the United States Ambassador to Israel, in which he indicated that it would be acceptable for Israel to exercise control over territories belonging to Arab states, including the occupied West Bank.”

The statement said Huckabee’s comments constitute “a flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and pose a grave threat to the security and stability of the region.”

“The Ministries reaffirmed that Israel has no sovereignty whatsoever over the Occupied Palestinian Territory or any other occupied Arab lands. They reiterated their firm rejection of any attempts to annex the West Bank or separate it from the Gaza Strip, their strong opposition to the expansion of settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and their categorical rejection of any threat to the sovereignty of Arab states,” the statement said.
