So It Begins

This will be my only post on the last pathetic attempt to find a real government….the voter has done as I predicted….it voted for people with little agenda other than “Obama….Bad”……

We will have the next two years of miserable governance……but let’s look at the round-up…….

Election night just keeps getting better and better for Republicans: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell started things off by defeating Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes in Kentucky, reports AP. Hours later, McConnell learned he will be changing his title to majority leader: Republicans needed a net gain of six seats to take the Senate, and they’ve now got seven, reports CNN:

  • In Iowa, Joni Ernst beat Bruce Braley for an open seat currently held by Democrats.
  • In North Carolina, Thom Tillis unseated Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan.
  • In Colorado, Cory Gardner unseated Democratic Sen. Mark Udall.
  • In Arkansas, Tom Cotton unseated Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor.
  • In West Virginia, Shelley Capito won and will replace retiring Democrat Jay Rockefeller (and become her state’s first female senator).
  • In South Dakota, Gov. Mike Rounds won an open seat currently held by Democrats.
  • In Montana, Steve Daines won the seat held by Democrat John Walsh, who dropped out of the race over plagiarism charges.

But it’s not all bad news for Democrats: In New Hampshire, Democrat Jeanne Shaheen held off a challenge from former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown and in Minnesota, Al Franken easily won re-election to the seat he won by just 312 votes in 2008. Other key races:

  • In Louisiana, the race between Democrat incumbent Mary Landrieu and GOP challenger Bill Cassidy will go to a Dec. 6 runoff.
  • In Kansas, Republican Pat Roberts won re-election in a close race against independent challenger Greg Orman.
  • In Georgia, Republican David Perdue beat Michelle Nunn in the race for a GOP-held open seat.
  • In Virginia, Democratic Sen. Mark Warner has declared victory in a surprisingly close race with challenger Ed Gillespie, though the Republican has yet to concede and says he hasn’t ruled out a recount.
  • In Alaska, Democratic Sen. Mark Begich has fallen behind Republican challenger Dan Sullivan, but many remote precincts and tens of thousands of absentee ballots remain to be counted.

I am going to enjoy the next two rears of whining…….the country gets the government it deserves…….Congrats!

Your Average Mississippi Voter

Tomorrow all of America will go to the polls………and that includes the lucky residents of my state….Mississippi.

This video would be humorous if it were not so damn accurate!

My readers know that I have been pretty tough on the voters of my state…..that because they will vote against their best interests the state is in a perpetual state of sadness……..the voters do not vote top make the state better but instead to keep the state down……to the point of  sad economy…..massive poverty…..terrible health care……poor education and massive poverty….but yet they will not vote to make things better

So you ask……just what are the voters like?

Glad you asked….this is your typical Mississippi voter……

Perfect example of what conservative policies will do for you….Mississippi is a prime example of what conservative policies can do to a state.  After saw the vid I felt compelled to apologize for the morons……

Any questions?

Enough said?

Mid-Terms: The Day Before

Title makes it sound like the beginning of some cheesy zombie movie…..but in this case it is something as cheesy as a bad B-movie…..the 2014 mid-term elections.

This week I will not be posting much…..because of the vote I want to try and get a feel of the country by talking with those that took the election seriously……..

Tomorrow the country will go to the polls and cast their votes for this loser or that and in the end we will have what will be the most worthless Congress ever!

We will have lots to consider….voting rights, birth control, gender problems, spending and of course least we forget a NEW WAR…….

I know many of us are leaning toward the conservative way of governance….you know that tired old talking point of smaller government….to this day not one person has explained what that means beyond the talking point…..if you are considering the conservative alternative then I suggest the you go look at the region of the country that lives and breathes conservatism….the South.

Please check my statements!

You will find a third world country within our borders….with all the problems that plague third world countries…poor health, poor education, extreme poverty, et al……….again please check my assertions……..

http://www.statemaster.com/state/MS-mississippi

Hopefully you will spend a little time and verify what I say…….probably not but I had to try to educate you.

Okay, you are bored…..got it!

Want to find an easier way to check what I claim….then look NO further than KANSAS!

The governor of Kansas, a staunch conservative, Brownback is living proof of what a “smaller government” will look like in the USA…….

Once in office, Brownback surprised critics and supporters alike with the fervor of his pursuit of power, pushing what reporter John Gramlich of Stateline described as perhaps “the boldest agenda of any governor in the nation”: gutting spending on social services and education, privatizing the state’s Medicaid system, undermining the teacher’s union, becoming the only state to entirely abolish funding for the arts, boasting that he would sign any anti-abortion bill that crossed his desk, and – most significantly – pushing through the largest package of tax cuts in Kansas history. His avowed goal is to eliminate the state income tax altogether, a move that many predict will torpedo the budget and engender even more draconian cuts in spending. “Other Republican-led states have experimented with many of the same changes,” Gramlich pointed out – the difference in Kansas being that Brownback “wants to make all of those changes simultaneously.”

And that sports fans is what the country will look like if the conservatives ever take complete control…….Kansas is so bad off that they have resulted in selling of confiscated sex equipment to try and fund their government.

Apparently, no one realizes that if their is reduced revenues for the government then we have a looming problem like the Ebola thing…….why do you think that we seem to be unprepared for this occurrence?

Your vote is just that……. your vote…….. but I beg you to think about what is at stake and educate to the problems and the issues.

The country is watching!

Are You Voting?

Reminder:  tomorrow is election day…….the future is in your hands……please do the right thing.

I am always amused by the Right wing mental midgets….and almost all of them are viewers of FOX news….could there be a correlation there?

I got this the other day on my Twitter machine…….It ask a valid question and makes a valid point.  I think maybe she needs spell check….whatcha think?

Always With Mixed Emotions

Opinion from the desk of the Editor:

In a matter of days….all the polls will be answered……

I have pretty silent on the whole 2014 mid-term thing….for one I think that Americans will show their ignorance and vote for the worst candidate they can find.

There are so many issues that I have mixed emotions about…..like gun control, SCOTUS rulings and elections.  My most confusing is my thoughts on the 2014 and 2016 elections…maybe I need to explain a little before I go on…….

From an early age I have been a radical….my radicalization came from my grandfather who work in the labor movement back in the early 100’s and he fought with the International brigades in Spain during the civil war of the 1930’s.  He pretty much made me read the classics and some of the radicals of the day…….so yes I am one of those radicals.

I have watched Americans deal with this political system for many decades and have seen them support reform over change…..change is something that Americans seem unwilling to embrace…..they had rather reform the crippled system they have looking for the right balance that will free them from the crap the system puts them through.  So far they have done nothing but make matters WORSE.

I have worked from the “Left” and I mean the Left….there is nothing leaning about a liberal….to connect liberals to the true Left is moronic or maybe just a serious lack of political knowledge.

We can pretend that liberal or conservative policies are best for the nation….but in reality the only people they benefit are the wealthy….the population is a necessary irritant that they must endure to accumulate more wealth…..

For decades I have tried to open the eyes of the voter and tried to explain the issues in simplistic terms, those that everyone can understand…..but I was unsuccessful for politicians have learned to dumb down every issue into a slogan that can be readily remembered.

Enough of my explanation on to my mixed emotions……..I would like to believe now that I am older that our politicians truly have the people in mind when they run for office……I have deluded myself……….

My mixed emotions about the 2014 and 2016 elections are….I want to believe that when a politician is worried about the disappearance of the middle class he/she is being honest…..but time in Washington proves me wrong every time……..

I would like to see the Tea Party “patriots” and I use the term humorously win their respective elections in both Houses….this will give them a ruling majority and that is where the country needs to be….why?  It would be the best boost to the Left in decades……their style of government will alienate everyone but the rich…….poor people will have to suffer but in the end a better world could be possible……that is if Americans get beyond their typical mindset of settling for what is being offered…..so much more is possible…..but they have to want more and not the crumbs that the system now gives them.  Americans have been settling for crumbs for decades……they know it but are afraid to make the changes needed.

The moronic Right….they spend all their time and effort on made up “scandals”……like some obscure little rancher that is freeloading off the system…..and yet the country is on a edge of disaster….they give d/bags like Issa power to do nothing but chase ghosts and waste money………….these types are hollow shells of arrogance and egotism…….qualities that are NOT conducive for a healthy country…….

The Left will need a galvanizing moment and a sweep by Tea Party types will be that moment……and then a whole new debate will begin…….sorry, but the American people will have to suffer, a vote for the TP is the first step in that suffering, before it can heal and move on………there are solutions to these problems but unfortunately they cannot be found within the TP movement………..

How far are you willing to go?

Millennials: Vote For Destruction?

A sigh of relief will go out when this election cycle is finished….it has been NOTHING useful said by any candidate for either side…..we have had enough negativity to last a life time…….we have had very little said as to how the country will be repaired if elected…….the only people that are getting anything out of this election are the pollsters, they are getting rich and the consumer is getting confused.  Perfect analysis of the American electoral system.

This election will be forever a joke without a punch line.

Both parties are trying desperately working to get millennials to the polls…..but what can we expect from the X-Box bunch it they do vote?

Republicans might find support in an unusual place in next week’s election: among millennials. A new poll by Harvard’s Institute of Politics shows that 18- to 29-year-olds who will likely vote on Tuesday prefer a GOP-run Congress. The margin is small, with 51% favoring the GOP and 47% favoring Democrats, but it’s a noticeable shift from a poll just ahead of the 2010 midterms. In that one, those who wanted Democratic control were up 55-43.

That’s a “stunning turnaround,” writes Ron Fournier at the National Journal, but he adds that Republicans shouldn’t celebrate too much. Generally speaking, millennials don’t like Republicans, and “the long-view IOP findings suggest that neither party is poised to win the largest generation in US history—a pragmatic, demanding, relatively nonideological electorate raised in an age of terrorism, war, and government dysfunction.” In short, then, consider the youth vote “up for grabs,” says the Harvard group’s director of polling in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

If this happens it will be the big political disaster since Gary Hart…….this country will start a downhill slide that can only help people that want real change…..and it could get very messy……but I will explain that in post to come……

Any thoughts?

2014 Mid-Terms: A Comedy Of Errors

In just days…..Americans will go vote…….if you can call it that…….

I would like to give my opinion of the 2014 mid-terms……I searched for the most appropriate word that could sum up what I think of the election…..after many minutes of thinking I finally came up with the one word that could do justice to this election…..then BAM!  It came to me in a vision……..YAWN!

The truth is I find the whole process this time around to be as boring and as disgusting as any in recent memory…….and I am NOT alone……

The consensus heading into crunch time of the midterm elections is that they’re … boring. (See here and here, or check out a recent Pew poll showing the anemic level of interest among Americans—only about 15% are closely following things.) Midterms always lack the punch of a presidential election, of course, but this year seems worse than any recent one, writes Peter Beinart at the Atlantic. The problem, he argues, is that while 2014 has a number of dramatic races on the local level, nothing is grabbing people in more of a big-picture sense. “There’s no big national issue on which voters feel that they can change the country’s course.”

Go back to 1998, for instance, when the possibility of Bill Clinton’s impeachment hung over the election. In 2002, the nation fretted about invading Iraq, and four years later, it fretted about leaving. In 2010, the economic collapse overshadowed all. But this year, “Americans just don’t believe that as much hinges on their vote.” Control of the Senate? Sure, “Democrats want to win, but they’re not too worried about losing,” writes Ezra Klein at Vox. Even if they do, “they’re likely to take it back in 2016. And it’s not as if much is going to get done in the meantime.” People right now are worried about Ebola and ISIS, he adds, and that gets to heart of the problem of the 2014 election: “It doesn’t seem likely to really change anything anyone cares about.” Click for Klein’s full column, or Beinart’s.

The media has done this with their incessant polls, sometimes hourly, and their wild speculation and their lack of concern for the damage they are doing to the election process.

The real shame is that a right that Americans feel strongly about is taken so nonchalantly.  Some thing as important as the direction of this country is boiled down to a popularity contest.

I weep for this country for if this lunacy continues there is little hope we can survive.even though we have a right to vote.

Sad that this right that we Americans are so proud of has turned into a joke for late night comics.

GOP And Pathetic Politics

It is bad enough that we have a political party in this country, a country that is proud of its freedoms and rights, that has No issues on which to run…the best they can do is a non-existent voter fraud, abortion and marriage equality…..the GOP has No idea how to make people’s lives better or how to jump start a lagging economy or for that matter any relevant issues at all…….

They have spent a couple of years re-drawing districts so that their candidates can pick their votes and a desperate run to limit who can vote….all in the name of preventing voter fraud, which is NOT a problem by a long shot……but now Kansas illustrates just how far the GOP will go to win an election.

It appears that if you are a candidate in Kansas and have low polling numbers and you ant to drop out of the race…..you cannot………

This much is clear: Republican Pat Roberts of Kansas hopes to keep his Senate seat in the midterm elections this year. After that, things get fuzzy. Heading into this week, Roberts faced a strong challenge from independent candidate Greg Orman and a lesser one from Democratic candidate Chad Taylor. Yesterday, Taylor declared that he was dropping out of the race, a move seen as bad news for Roberts because polls show him losing a one-on-one matchup with Orman. Taylor didn’t explain his withdrawal, but the speculation is that Democrats asked him to step down to increase the chances that Roberts (and thus the GOP) would lose the seat.

Today, however, Republican Secretary of State Kris Kobach declared that Taylor must remain in the race, reports the Kansas City Star. He cites a technicality, saying that Taylor filled out his paperwork incorrectly by failing to declare that he would be “incapable” of serving, as state law specifies. (Taylor can’t simply resubmit, because yesterday was the deadline to withdraw.) Democrats say Kobach, who has endorsed Roberts, is playing politics with the move, though it’s unclear whether the party or Taylor will file a formal legal challenge. “This could well end up in court, and I don’t have a good sense for how the courts would rule on this question,” an election-law expert tells the newspaper. Given the stakes, this is no small matter, points out Politico. “The decision could undermine efforts to unseat Roberts and potentially rewrite the narrative of the 2014 midterms.”

I bet you thought that the GOP was all about people making choices and taking responsibility, right?  Well not in Kansas……to try and win an election they will force a candidate to run even though he does not want to…..is that the America all you moronic Righties keep going on about?  Sounds more like something that you would be forced to do under the Soviet style of government…….

Sorry, you guys are PATHETIC!
