Yes Irene We Have A Deal

There were rumblings over the weekend that there was a deal waiting to be signed…..and it was announced on his birthday (go figure)….

The US and Iran have finally struck a peace deal after 4 months of war. Both sides on Sunday said they had agreed to halt military operations in a conflict that has rattled global politics and energy markets, reports the Wall Street Journal. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said a formal signing will take place Friday in Switzerland. “Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon,” he wrote. The two nations later confirmed, though “permanent” might be a overly optimistic: The most difficult issues have pushed into the next round of talks, notes the New York Times.

  • Trump: “Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete,” President Trump wrote on social media late Sunday afternoon. “Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!”
  • Iran: “Agreement reached,” Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian wrote on the X platform. “Greetings to Diplomacy General,” he added, under a photo of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
  • 60 days: The accord launches a 60-day window for talks over Iran’s nuclear program. In return for limits on that program, Iran expects access to frozen funds and potential sanctions relief. Trump said he’s not seeking regime change, while promising “strong inspections” without detailing how they would work.
  • Oil prices: The price of Brent international crude dropped about 5% on the news to $83 a barrel, report CNBC.

There had been word that Donny would sign the deaal on Sunday….

President Trump said Saturday he plans to sign a peace framework with Iran on Sunday, though the Tehran government indicated it’s not on the same timeline. Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow,” the Hill reports. He promised the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil chokepoint closed during the current crisis, would reopen immediately after a signing, while hinting at an undefined “ultimate alternative” if the process falters. Pakistan, which is mediating the talks, similarly projected a quick resolution, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif saying the agreement would be finalized within 24 hours.

Iran–The Usual Rhetoric

Since the US and Iran have started exchanging fire once again…the rhetoric coming from the Lazy Boy recliner in the Oval Office (does it still exist?) is the same as always from the mouth of Donny….

Early Thursday morning Donny starts thumping his chest (but not too hard)….

The renewed attacks between the US and Iran are on track to worsen in a significant way. President Trump on Thursday said the US planned to hit Iran “VERY HARD TONIGHT,” before further raising the stakes: “At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela,” he wrote on Truth Social. The threat came after the two sides exchanged strikes for the second straight day, reports the AP.

Kharg Island is major oil terminal off the nation’s coast, seen as the “country’s economic lifeline,” notes the BBC. Its seizure would not only damage Iran economically but could give the US a base from which to carry out military attacks on the mainland. However, seizing the island would likely require ground troops, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Hours after threatening a major escalation in the Iran war, President Trump said the bombs are back on pause—and that Iran is on board with talks, reports the Wall Street Journal. In a new Truth Social post, Trump said he called off plans to unleash a new wave of strikes and to seize the Kharg Island oil hub because peace negotiations “have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved.”

Trump said the “final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others.” Iran has not yet publicly commented. Trump added that the US naval blockade of Iranian ports will stay in place until a deal is signed, with time and place to be announced “shortly,” per the BBC. The president has previously announced imminent deals that have fallen through.

This event is all too familiar   (watch the markets)  This is for those too damn lazy to check the markets….

US stocks rallied to their best day in two months, and oil prices fell Thursday, after President Trump called off his threat to bomb Iran in the evening. That raised hopes for a deal that could get the global flow of oil going again.

  • The Dow rose 929.97 to 50,848.75.
  • The S&P 500 jumped 127.31 points to 7,394.30.
  • The Nasdaq rallied 640.16 to 25,809.66.

Apparently Donny is working from an old script….this is the same bullshit he gave about a month ago.

He should hire new writers his present ones are getting tiresome.

BTW the war has made the US the world’s number one oil importer and that means dollars for oil companies….so how long will we play this stupid game?

There was a time when Donny thought he could buy Greenland from Denmark….well that did not work out well for the idiot…..and now he is setting his beady eyes on Chagos Island.

The White House is considering a plan to buy the Chagos Islands, potentially sinking Sir Keir Starmer’s plan to cede the territory’s sovereignty to Mauritius.
US officials have drawn up a proposal to bypass Britain and make its own deal to take control of Diego Garcia, the strategically important UK-US military base, amid uncertainty about its future, The Telegraph understands.
It is among several options drafted by Donald Trump’s administration in a paper aimed at providing alternatives to the Prime Minister’s plan, which would hand control of the islands to Mauritius, an ally of China and Iran.
The White House has been in regular discussions with Downing Street about securing the future of Diego Garcia, one US official with knowledge of the discussions told The Telegraph.
While purchasing the islands is not the leading solution for the White House, the idea has been raised directly with Scott Bessent, the US Treasury secretary, who has brought the matter to the president’s attention, sources said.
The war in Iran and China’s rising naval power have reignited calls to maintain a global chain of strategic military bases.
There is a lot of sensitive shit going on on Diego Garcia….the US is in a panic because of so many things…..island location is perfect for conducting war in the region…..special ops has a large holdings…..espionage especially espionage.

News From The Middle East

We have heard all the lies about a ceasefire and apparently Israel does not want any progress on that front for they just keep attacking Lebanon trying to turn it in Gaza…..

Israel said Monday that Iran had launched missiles targeting it, hours after Israel launched airstrikes targeting central and western Iran in response to missile fire from Tehran. The exchange of strikes threatened to drag the wider Middle East back into a regional war, the AP reports. Sirens sounded in central Israel, and the government urged the public to seek shelter. Explosions could be heard in central Israel as Israeli air defenses sought to intercept the incoming Iranian fire. Iran did not immediately acknowledge the attack. Meanwhile, the White House did not respond to messages about Israel’s strikes and whether they were done in coordination with the US.

Iranian state television reported the sound of explosions being heard in Isfahan, Karaj, Tabriz, and Tehran, without immediately elaborating. A witness in Tehran described hearing at least one large blast somewhere to the west of the country’s capital city. Iran closed the airspace around Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport, the country’s main airfield, after the Israeli attack. Sirens sounded across Israel on Monday after its military said a missile launched from Yemen targeted the country, without elaborating. Israel’s rescue services said there were no reports of casualties or impacts from the launch from Yemen.

Israel is using Lebanon as an excuse for Iran and their unwarranted attacks….typical bullshit from these cowards.

Then in an interview on Sunday Donny made one of his BS pronouncements….’never promised no new wars’….

President Trump now says a central theme of his assurances to voters was never actually a promise. In a Meet the Press interview that aired Sunday, Trump rejected the idea that he ever pledged “no new wars,” telling NBC‘s Kristen Welker, “I didn’t promise anything.” He argued that his push to build what he called the “strongest military in the world” undercuts the notion that he guaranteed he’d avoid fighting. Trump insisted he dislikes “endless wars” but cast the current confrontation with Iran as short term, saying, “We’re there for a few months and the threat is largely over.”

Of course that interview did not go well for Donny had to slip back into his accusation mode….and walk out.

On a side note…..

It’s the strange world of international espionage: The US has long understood that Israel is going to do a little spying on America, and it’s acceptable as long as they don’t overdo it. Now, multiple reports suggest they’re overdoing it. The Pentagon has ramped up the counterintelligence threat posed by ally Israel to “critical,” the highest level, reports the New York Times and NBC News. A big factor is the Iran war: Intelligence assessments warn that Israeli agencies have significantly stepped up efforts to monitor top US negotiator Steve Witkoff, Pentagon policy chief Elbridge Colby, and other American authorities. One senior US official describes Israel’s aggressive moves as “unhinged,” per the Times.

Defense Intelligence Agency report cited by both outlets says Israel’s threat level was recently raised from “high” to the top tier, citing attempts to plant listening devices at DIA headquarters and in a Secret Service vehicle, and spyware found on US defense personnel phones in Israel. It wasn’t clear if a specific incident prompted the upgraded threat level, or if it was a culmination of all of the above. The warnings arrive with US-Israeli military cooperation at unprecedented levels, given the extensive intelligence-sharing and joint war planning against Iran. For the record, the Pentagon declined comment, a White House official called the account false, and Israel’s embassy denied spying on US officials.

It is not bad enough that Israel owns our election process  now they are engaged in massive spying on their ‘ally’ (I use the word loosely for the US is a tool not an ally).

Things are pretty normal in the Middle East….normal for a Donny government that is…..

Section 224

Section 224?

Buried in the House’s version of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) released on Tuesday, is section 224, entitled “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.” The provision would arguably do more to intertwine the U.S. military with the Israeli military than the more than $200 billion (inflation adjusted) in military assistance Israel has received from the U.S. since its founding in 1948.

Section 224 lays the groundwork for bilateral research and development, co-production of weapons, joint ventures, licensing agreements, and seemingly every manner of U.S.-Israeli military-industrial complex cooperation. The U.S. and Israel already work together heavily on missile defense, but this provision would greatly expand coordination to seemingly every area of defense tech, including AI, quantum, autonomous systems, directed energy, cyber, biotech, and many more. It also proposes “network integration” and “data fusion.” In other words, the U.S. military’s data could soon be the Israeli military’s data.

Is this a good idea?

I know the US is at the mercy of Israeli ash but to give them this much sway over our military is unheard of and unprecedented.

Section 224 would be a different beast entirely. It would fuse the U.S. and Israeli defense sectors in multiple areas vital to the battlefields of the future, like autonomous systems and cyber. It would also bring extraordinary Israeli influence to the U.S. beyond what it already has through the Israel lobby and its robust network of social media influencers. It would give the Israeli government the opportunity to greatly expand one of the most powerful levers of influence in U.S. politics: jobs in the U.S. By expanding or starting new co-production facilities like it already has in Mississippi and Arkansas, the Israeli government could boast of providing jobs on U.S. soil, thereby securing allies among members of Congress who represent the districts where those jobs lie.

The result could well be a U.S. political system even more susceptible to the whims of an Israeli government that seemingly has no qualms about drawing the U.S. into military conflicts in the Middle East.

Could This End Donny’s Iran Adventure?

The House has finally voted on the resolution to end this war with Iran….4 Repubs jumped political lines and sided with the Dems….

The House approved a war powers resolution Wednesday that would halt the US military action against Iran, defying President Trump as a handful of Republicans joined with Democrats to end the three-month-long war that has reordered politics at home and abroad. House Speaker Mike Johnson had tried to prevent an outcome that would show the mounting opposition to the war, abruptly shutting down floor action two weeks ago when the war powers resolution was on the verge of approval. But displeasure has only grown as the conflict drags on. The roll call Wednesday was 215-208. Cheers then erupted in the House chamber, the AP reports.

Republican Reps. Thomas Massie, Tom Barrett, Warren Davidson, and Brian Fitzpatrick voted with Democrats to approve the resolution, the Washington Post reports.

  • “This reckless and costly war of choice needs to end today,” House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries said earlier in the week. “All we need are a handful of Republicans to join us and we can end this reckless and costly war of choice.” During debate on the House floor, Democratic Rep. Gregory Meeks, the ranking Democrat on the Foreign Affairs Committee, said: “We are trapped in a war that won’t end because an incompetent president launched it thinking of only his own ego while failing to prepare for the consequences. Diplomacy is the only exit from this, not more bombing, not more bluster.”
  • It was the fourth time the House tried to curb the US war against Iran, and the first time the measure passed. The House deadlocked 212-212 in a vote last month.
  • The war powers resolution from the House would not immediately stop the war, but it would provide a symbolic if not legal step against further military action. It now goes to the Senate, where four Republican members last month joined Democrats in advancing a similar measure to curtail the war. The Senate has yet to take a final vote to approve or reject its own war powers resolution.
  • If the resolution made it as far as Trump’s desk, he would be certain to veto it, a move that would take a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate to override, the Post reports.
  • Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned Wednesday, testifying at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing, that the Iranians would think that the administration’s “hands are going to be tied” if Congress approved a war powers resolution. He said they would think “we won’t be able to do anything to them, so why make a deal?”

Deal Or No Deal

On 28 May mews broke that a deal had been hammered out between US and Iran …..

It appears that a deal to formally extend the Iran-US ceasefire for another two months is tantalizingly close. Multiple outlets—including Reuters, Axios, and NBC News—say negotiators have hammered out a 60-day “memorandum of understanding” to open the Strait of Hormuz, extend the ceasefire, and lay the groundwork for more detailed talks on issues such as Iran’s nuclear program. All three outlets say the deal awaits Trump’s signature, with Axios quoting a US official saying: “The president relayed to the mediators that he wants a couple of days to think about it.” Neither the White House nor Tehran has formally confirmed the existence of a 60-day MOU.

“It was already closed in Doha three days ago, now everyone is playing a game of chicken and egg,” a senior Arab official tells NBC. On Wednesday, Trump reiterated to reporters that he is not in a rush to approve any deal. One snag could be the president’s wish that more Mideast countries join the Abraham Accords and recognize Israel. Under the MOU, Iran would reportedly remove all its mines from the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days and reopen the waterway to unrestricted shipping.

President Trump held a two-hour meeting with top advisers in the White House Situation Room on Friday after posting he planned “to make a final determination” on a deal with Iran. But he left without revealing a decision, the New York Times reports. There was no word on why the president postponed the call. The meeting came a day after reports emerged that negotiators had hashed out a 60-day “memorandum of understanding” to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and extend the truce, reports the AP. Vice President JD Vance said on Thursday that the US and Iran were “very close” to finalizing the MOU, though he stopped short of predicting what Trump would do, notes Axios.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, meanwhile, wrote Friday on X that his country has “no trust in guarantees or words,” only actions, and that “no step will be taken before the other side acts.”
After promising a final determination Donny decided to kick the can down the road….something he has become a master at doing.
This deal is the same deal from months ago….and it is a huge scam.

As Israel launched a new bombardment of Lebanon on Tuesday, its far-right security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, suggested that it was trying to derail ongoing peace negotiations between US President Donald Trump and Iran.

During a press briefing on Tuesday, the influential settler politician railed against the possibility of a deal to end the war as it neared the three-month mark and said the whole Israeli Cabinet was in agreement.

“I know that Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu and all of us members of the Cabinet… as the government of Israel, cannot allow this to happen,” Ben-Gvir said in Hebrew. “This is an agreement that can harm the state of Israel, and we will not allow this to happen.”

Threaten Another Ally

Our Little Donny is good at only one thing….threatening allies to get his way.  With the Iran thing not going as well as he lied about he now has something to say to Oman…..the nation on the other side of the Strait of Hormuz.

President Trump on Wednesday said the US would “blow up” the country of Oman if it doesn’t “behave,” a threat made when asked if he would accept a short-term deal that involved Iran and Oman jointly controlling the Strait of Hormuz.

“No, the strait’s got to be opened to everybody, it’s international waters. Nobody’s going to control it. We’ll watch over it, but nobody’s going to control it. That’s part of the negotiation,” Trump told reporters while hosting a cabinet meeting at the White House.

“Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we’ll have to blow them up. They understand that they’ll be fine,” the president added.

Iranian media reported last month that Iran’s initial proposal to end the war with the US involved charging a fee for ships transiting the strait, with the revenue split between Iran and Oman, which both have coasts along the waterway, and Iranian officials have held talks with their Omani counterparts on the issue.

Initially described as a “toll,” the issue is now being framed in different terms. “There is no toll. We need to pay attention to the words we use. We’re not after money. Iran and Oman need to create protocols for the safe passage of ships, and this will be based on international laws,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said this week.

“It’s only natural that the services we provide, like navigation and the preservation of the ecosystem of the Strait, the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will have costs. These should not be considered tolls. Iran and Oman are being responsible in our efforts and I hope we will reach a conclusion soon,” Baghaei added.

Iran is unlikely to back down on the issues in its negotiations with the US as it seeks the funds to pay for reconstruction after the US-Israeli bombing campaign.

Donny Has A Plan For The Middle East

AS you can imagine it is a plan that will not bring peace in the Middle East but it will give Israel more power than it deserves.

President Trump has made a new pivot in Iran peace talks: He’s now pitching a sweeping reset of Middle East relations that would widen a regional pact from his first term called the Abraham Accords. Trump wants more Muslim-majority countries to formally recognize or deepen ties with Israel, and he specifically called out Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan as targets for inclusion. He added that Iran itself could join once it signs a peace deal, asserting that the widened pact would be “the most important Deal” those countries would ever sign. Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates are the current signees, notes the Washington Post.

A Wall Street Journal analysis points out that the idea could give Trump an out with hawkish Republicans who have blasted the emerging Iran framework as too soft and too similar to the Obama-era nuclear deal Trump scrapped in his first term. Sens. Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and ex–national security adviser John Bolton all have warned the proposal could bolster Tehran. Graham, however, quickly pivoted to cheer Trump’s Abraham Accords expansion plan as “simply brilliant” and potentially transformative for the region. A New York Times analysis similarly notes that if “more countries sign up to the accords, it could placate some Iran hawks who have criticized Mr. Trump for pursuing a peace deal.”

The major obstacle: the countries Trump is pressuring. Saudi Arabia has repeatedly said it won’t normalize relations with Israel without a credible path to Palestinian statehood—something even more remote after Israel’s devastating campaign in Gaza and clashes with Iran. Pakistan’s defense minister already has rejected the idea of joining, notes the Times of India. Qatari officials likewise signaled they’re not on board and would only engage Israel on resolving the Palestinian issue. Trump’s vision is “a hope tethered to a galaxy far, far away,” Aaron David Miller, a former Middle East negotiator now at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, tells the Journal. Gulf leaders risk public backlash if they move closer to Israel under current conditions, he says.

This is just another attempt to give Israel the lead in the Middle East….a country that thinks genocide is a good option for settling grievances.

These Accords give Israel everything and peanuts to everyone else involved.

I say screw Israel….the sooner this parasite is put in its place the sooner peace can be achieved in the Middle East….Israel has never held up to any of its commitments to peace in the region ….why would this one be any different?

Raul In The Crosshairs

Raúl Castro, the 94-year-old former Cuban president and longtime defense chief, has been hit with US criminal charges over a Cold War–style flashpoint from nearly three decades ago. In an indictment unsealed Wednesday, the Trump administration accuses Castro of conspiracy to kill US nationals, murder, and destruction of an aircraft in connection with the 1996 downing of two small planes flown by Brothers to the Rescue, a Cuban-American exile group, CNN reports. The Washington Post reports that the indictment was returned by a grand jury in April and federal officials are expected to announce its unsealing at an event in Miami.

Prosecutors say Castro, then defense minister, ordered Cuban fighter jets to shoot down the civilian aircraft over international waters, killing four men, including three US citizens. Several Cuban airmen were also charged with conspiracy to kill Americans.

  • The move dramatically escalates Washington’s pressure on Havana and deepens a relationship already strained by sanctions and harsh rhetoric. Critics see the case as another example of the administration using the Justice Department to pursue adversarial foreign leaders, following the operation that led to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, now jailed in New York on drug-trafficking charges.
  • The indictment also arrives amid speculation about US military moves; Trump has publicly mused that Cuba is “gonna fall pretty soon” and that he could “do anything I want with it,” while Secretary of State Marco Rubio has spoken openly about seeking regime change. CIA Director John Ratcliffe quietly visited Cuba last week, though officials have not disclosed what was discussed.
  • In Miami, news of the charges was greeted with a mix of relief and cautious optimism by relatives of the 1996 victims, CNN reports. At a gathering at Freedom Tower, survivor Sylvia Iriondo, who was on a third plane that managed to escape, called it “a day of hope, a day that marks a road of justice … that has eluded our families and communities for 30 years,” adding, “Justice needs to be done.”
  • Whether Castro or the other defendants will ever see the inside of a US courtroom, however, remains uncertain. The Post notes that it is unlikely that Castro will be extradited to the US, meaning “the indictment is likely to remain symbolic unless the US takes aggressive action to remove Castro from Cuba.”

What total garbage….if this is a ‘norm’ then should not BiBi be indicted for the death of so many civilians in Gaza and West Bank?  Or the Saudis for their extreme beheadings for minor BS.

This is an excuse, a way to justify an invasion of Cuba….the US will attack a country that poses NO THREAT to the US.
