Donny, What Does This Mean?

Everyone of us has had sticker shock when we go to the grocery store….prices just keep making it harder and harder to have descent meals.

Most of us would like to know just what the government, as much as we can actually call it a ‘government’, would do to help us struggling fools.

Well wait no longer….Donny has announced his new plan….

President Trump announced Friday he would move to allow American farmers and ranchers to process their own food, hitting back against what he called the “monopoly” created by large processors.

Trump noted in a post on Truth Social that farmers and ranchers “have always been a number one priority” for him, adding that he has heard they have had an issue with big processors.

The president wrote, “There are, essentially, 4 of them, a very non competitive number, and they make life miserable for our wonderful Farmers and Ranchers, and I can’t let that happen, can I?”

“So, in order to break this powerful monopoly, with much of its ownership based outside of the U.S., I am authorizing legal documents to be drawn in order to allow Farmers and Ranchers to be given the right to PROCESS THEIR OWN FOOD. This should move quickly,” he continued.

The move comes as Trump has faced backlash from ranchers as well as a number of congressional Republicans after his administration rolled out a plan to import 300,000 metric tons of tariff-free foreign ground beef over 90 days.

The critics argue that selling beef at a 25 percent discount puts downward pressure on what domestic ranches are able to charge. Additionally, industry experts say that savings from the move may not reach shoppers because of large packers and retailers getting the margin.

First the US just recalled 30K pounds of Argentine beef for improper inspection….what makes us think that the new beef will be any less unsafe?

Second, I am not a farmer or a rancher so my information and knowledge is very limited….but what does this mean?  What does process their own food actually mean?

I guess the next question will be just how will that bring down food prices?

Cutting out the ‘middle man’ all that significant?

Please will someone explain this to me and my readers that are not privy to the industry.

To say that I am not too positive about this so-called plan would be an understatement….but if there is a silver lining I would like to know where.

Kiss It Good-Bye

There is a line in an Eagle’s song that says, “call some place paradise and kiss it good-bye’….and that is what is happening with our national parks and that asswad in DC.

First he let a road to be cut through the Big Bend National Park in Texas and now he is considering letting developers ruin Yosemite….

The Trump administration is weighing a land swap that could carve off a slice of Yosemite National Park for a private developer, park advocates say. Under the deal being floated, the federal government would trade a small part of Yosemite for adjacent property owned by Nevada-based Kingsbarn Realty Capital, which has long sought road access and development rights on the park’s western edge. The Interior Department confirmed the idea is under review, the Washington Post reports, but said no decision has been made and denies any secret push to hand over parkland, calling such claims politically driven.

Conservation groups said they’ve independently verified the talks and warn that any resulting project could clear trees and pave the way for luxury construction near one of America’s most visited national parks. Democratic Rep. Jared Huffman, who represents the area, and California’s Democratic senators have said they oppose developing the road, per the Guardian. “I will fight this,” Huffman said, “both for Yosemite and for every treasured park that would be up for grabs if this domino falls.”

Congress needs to grow a pair and stop this desecration of our national parks.

How long before this fool targets Yellowstone for his buddies and developers?  Or The Garden of The Gods or Bryce Canyon, etc.

Everyday this idiot in the White House proves that he cares nothing about this country and it’s natural beauty….and people voted for this asshole….what were they thinking?  Never mind….those that did are not capable of rational thought.

The semi-literate plan of Donny’s for the truce in Gaza, the Board of Peace, which is a con job at best….has issued a statement on Israel and its troops in Gaza….

The official in charge of President Trump’s ceasefire plan for Gaza criticized Israel on Wednesday for its attacks on the war-battered Palestinian territory and warned that the alternative to the US proposal is the next war, the AP reports. Nikolay Mladenov, the Board of Peace high representative, insisted to the UN Security Council that Trump’s 20-point plan has not stalled and “has moved from the negotiating table to the engineering table.” The militant group Hamas has agreed to the proposal’s key provision to disarm and turn Gaza over to civilian rule, he said. But Israel’s ongoing strikes since last October’s ceasefire are still killing Palestinians—though much fewer—and Gazans can’t feel that the conflict is ending, he said.

“After three years of war and 20 years of military operations, I ask, will another strike on a munitions depot stop Hamas from rearming or tightening its grip on Gaza?” Mladenov said. “It will not. It only delays the demilitarization that would happen” and obstructs the transfer to a civilian government. A recent US deal with Hamas to disarm was seen as a potential breakthrough to end the war, which was sparked by the militant group’s deadly Oct. 7, 2023, attacks in southern Israel. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his forces won’t withdraw from their current lines in Gaza until Hamas has handed over all its weapons.

Mladenov said that at a meeting he took part in last week with Netanyahu and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and adviser, “we went through his government’s concerns one by one and narrowed the areas that still require technical work.” Israel’s deputy UN ambassador, Noa Furman, reiterated to the Security Council his country’s commitment to Trump’s plan, but stressed that it can’t succeed while Hamas remains armed. He said Israel is working closely with the US to achieve Hamas’ disarmament.

The US ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, said concerns about Trump’s plan are being addressed and Hamas’ disarmament will be judged on its actions. Mladenov warned of the distance between the roadmap and what’s happening on the ground, and said if war resumes, there won’t be a roadmap to return to or anything left on the ground to rebuild. “That would not be a setback,” he said. “it would be a point of no return for everyone.” Mladenov stressed the need for political will to overcome the differences and said there is a choice to be made: “A Gaza disarmed, rebuilt and reconnected to the world. Or a Gaza rearmed, divided and in rubble, with a radicalized generation raised inside it and the next war already on the horizon.”

This is what we get when we allow Israel to dictate our responses and what we get for let amateurs run the foreign policy.

I fear the Gazans are in for a real extended war unless someone changes things and that will be a long time coming as long as Israel controls our politicians.

Just FYI….since the ‘truce’ there is been no decrease in deaths or injuries….

The ministry said that since the truce deal was signed in October 2025, the IDF has killed at least 1,318 Palestinians and wounded 4,375.

Despite the US and the so-called “Board of Peace” negotiating a disarmament deal with Hamas to advance the stalled peace deal, the US has also backed Israel’s continued strikes in Gaza, and Israel has rejected the US-backed proposal.
