Last Week At The Sh*t Show–28Jun26

Yep another week of the antics from Donny and his group mental midgets….some of it humorous and others horrific….

So far the best story, for me, of last week has been the pool thing….the story that just keeps giving….this from someone that worked on the pool in the past….

A contractor that helped overhaul the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool more than 15 years ago says it passed on the Trump administration’s latest redo, months before blue coating began peeling up from the basin. Two employees of New Jersey-based Sika Corp., which did some work on the pool in 2010, tell CNN they were approached in March about providing materials for a quick “blue” resurfacing, but they refused, calling the July 4 deadline and color requirement “unfeasible.” They say their proposed fix would’ve taken longer and been more complex, largely due to the pool’s 2.5 miles of expansion joints.

Instead, the government hired Atlantic Industrial Coatings, which used products from Rhino Linings, a brand better known for truck-bed linings. Now, less than a month after application, portions of the blue layer appear to be peeling, while algae has again tinted the water green. The project’s cost has also ballooned from an estimated $1.8 million to close to $15 million, drawing scrutiny from Democrats, including Rep. Robert Garcia, who’s seeking documents from contractors on what he calls a “disastrous renovation.”

Trump has blamed “radical left” vandals: The Justice Department says some caulk was cut and fence posts tossed in, and several people have been arrested. Some are speculating online that heavy equipment and trucks driving over the drained pool could have inflicted some damage as well; a presidential motorcade even cruised over it at one point in May.

Experts say the choice to use polyurea products raises technical questions that an in-depth “failure analysis” will need to sort out. Politico, meanwhile, has a piece on another DC reflecting pool that’s managed to stay pristine. “The White House did not address questions about whether it had consulted with the legislative branch on how to maintain a water body before embarking on the Lincoln Memorial project,” the outlet notes.

In short it was Donny and his cohorts that pissed this up not the Radical Left, which btw I am part of and we did not do this.

The other story is the the DSA has had some amazing success in the polls and the Right is having a stroke…great fun.

Our dear clueless leader has given some pretty bad leaders their props….

“No other President could do some of the s–t I’m doing,” the book quoted him as saying.

He then rattled off a long list of history’s powerful figures, explaining how each fell short of his own efficacy as U.S. President.

His list included names like Alexander the Great, William the Conqueror, Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun, which he jokingly emphasized one big difference.

“They didn’t have airplanes, right?” Trump said in reference to Air Force One. “You couldn’t travel around.”

Trump also mentioned three other leaders – “Hitler. Mao (Zedong). Stalin” – whom he said “maintained power through fear.”

The president then asked, “Who would ever do a thing like that?”

And the MAGA and GOP are worried about the DSA….they should be looking at home.

The birthday party has begun and Donny wants to cover a couple of bronze horses in gold…

Donald Trump’s obsession with gold is spilling outside of the White House. The National Park Service has awarded a $5 million contract to a Maryland gilding studio to repair four bronze horse statues near the Lincoln Memorial in time for the celebration of America’s 250th birthday. The contract was awarded without a full competition, according to reports.

It’s the latest in an increasingly expensive series of upgrades around the nation’s capital. One study by the nonprofit, Washington, D.C.-based news outlet NOTUS found the Interior Department has distributed at least $95 million for beautification projects around the district, $20 million of which (including the horse contract) have not been officially reported.

His fixation with gold is tacky….

Donny’s little nazi SOB wants to penalize handicapped people…..

Stephen Miller was the driving force behind a memo released by the Department of Justice authorizing states to institutionalize people with disabilities, sources familiar with the situation shared.

The White House deputy chief of staff — and close adviser to President Donald Trump — was reportedly frustrated that the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division was still reaching settlements compelling states to transfer those experiencing mental illness out of institutions, the sources told Bloomberg Law on the condition of anonymity. The sources said Miller felt that the department’s agreements would increase homelessness and didn’t comply with Trump’s Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets executive order, pressuring cities and states to move unhoused people into treatment centers.

The June 18 DOJ Office of Legal Counsel opinion concluded that states may disregard decades of Supreme Court precedent and ensure regulations mandating the integration of people with disabilities into homes or community settings. The Civil Rights Division leadership team pushed back on the memo at first, but OLC’s final draft ultimately reflected Miller’s desires, the sources said.

Just being the true nazi that he is….

Our Donny is disappointed that he was not mentioned in the DoI….

President Donald Trump said he’s “very disappointed” that he wasn’t mentioned in the Declaration of Independence, even as “our founders invoked the Creator four times,” during a Friday speech at the annual Faith and Freedom Coalition conference.

Trump was preceded by both House Speaker Mike Johnson and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at Friday’s event to a crowd of Republican lawmakers and conservative activists in Washington, D.C.

After promising that his administration “saved religious freedom in America” because “it was going down,” Trump said, “From the very beginning of our country, American greatness has been forged by people of faith.”

Then there is the religious edict…..

When I was a young boy in the Bronx, New York, I would board a yellow school bus every Wednesday to go to a local church for “religious instruction” where I and my classmates would learn how sin, especially the fornicating kind, could ruin our lives.

Lawmakers want Ohio students to undergo a similar forced indoctrination by requiring schools teach a course backed by a Christian lobbying group determined to foist their view of the world on young people.

Now a Donny commission is trying to finish tearing down the wall between church and state….

President Trump’s new religious-freedom blueprint doesn’t just question the wall between church and state, it decrees it a mistake. A 224-page draft report from his Religious Liberty Commission argues that Americans should see religion as a “necessary support” for rights and urges the Justice Department to embrace an originalist reading of how the Constitution treats religion and government, the Washington Post reports. The commission argues faith-based groups partnering with the government shouldn’t have to comply with laws that conflict with their beliefs, calls for restoring and compensating troops punished for refusing vaccines on religious grounds, pushes public schools to permit religious displays like the Ten Commandments, and wants the Johnson Amendment—which limits political activity by nonprofits—scrapped.

At an Oval Office event on Friday, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, chair of the commission, said officials who cite church-state separation should be forced to spell out the constitutional violation, adding that the phrase “should have no power” going forward. The commission, made up of conservative Christians and one Orthodox Jew, is already being challenged in court over its lack of diversity and transparency. Plaintiff and Interfaith Alliance head Paul Raushenbush blasted the draft as a “Christian nationalist” wish list that ignores Islamophobia. He said it also didn’t mention Trump’s own attacks on Pope Leo XIV, Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde, and other religious critics of “his administration’s inhumane policies.”

I apologize if this offends but the government should have NO say in religious matters whatsoever…/this is just another of the bullshit crazy that Donny brings to the table.

Sorry but public schools are not the place for religious claptrap.

The GOP has lost a couple of staunch supporters from the past….

The Republican Party has lost a pair of vocal supporters in Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Carlson, who has been a conservative media pundit for over 25 years, announced he was cutting ties with the GOP during a June 18 appearance on the Can’t Be Censored podcast. He said his main concern was the party’s support of Israel, accusing Republicans of being disloyal to the United States and putting “the interest of a foreign country over its own citizens.”

“I’ve voted Republican my entire life… I have been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican Party, a very consistent defender, but there is no defending this,” he continued. “Because it’s immoral and it’s exactly the opposite of what a political party in a democracy is charged with doing, which is representing its own voters, its own citizens, its own nation. And they’re not doing that.”

“So, no, I’m out,” Carlson added, noting, “And if I’m out, then I think a lot of other people are out.”

It will be interesting to see what these two do with their time.

And there is this MAGA twat from Florida….

A Republican congressional candidate in Florida who openly embraces President Donald Trump’s agenda is calling for a Democratic ex-president to be deported.

In a 30-second video, Belinda Kesier promoted her candidacy for Florida’s 22nd congressional district by arguing that she would not only deport undocumented immigrants, but also aim to deport the Democrat she blames for America’s supposed immigration problem, former President Joe Biden.

“I’m Belinda Keiser, and I approve this message because we should deport Joe Biden for what he did,” Keiser proclaimed at the end of the ad, one of many she has run in her bid to claim that seat. Earlier in the same video a narrator vowed that Keiser would “stand with President Trump” and that her goal would be “to deport illegals, to protect American families and American jobs.”

Every new crop of MAGA candidates is sillier than the last….

That Was The Week That Was….

Now to lighten the mood and hopefully put a smile on your face after reading all the crap in DC….kids are not the only ones to hate veggies.

That does it for me….I hope everyone has a great Sunday and enjoys life….and as always….Be Well and Be Safe….

  1. The dogs are funny, but I wouldn’t tolerate a dog showing me aggression because I offered it vegetables.
Trump lost a close ally when he upset Carlson.
I have come to think that Miller might be the dangerous one, the power behind the throne. He is the Goebbels to Trump’s Hitler, the one enabling, and whispering in his ear. A very nasty individual indeed.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. The Separation of Church and State, so clearly written into the U.S. Constitution as the First Amendment, has been frontally attacked by GOP-controlled states for years. With Trump in office and the U.S. Supreme Court dominated by Republican religious zealots, its days are probably numbered. Here’s what Texas is up to right now:

Texas State Board of Education votes to require millions of students to study Bible stories – https://www.cnn.com/2026/06/26/us/texas-schools-bible-curriculum-vote

    1. Forcing religion on students is not what this country is about….this need to be put in its place….trash bin. chuq
