Donny’s first time at bat he had Mike Pence as his #2 now he has come out of the closet to voice his opinion on the policies plaguing the nation.
In the interview he covered 6 January riot, tariffs among other issues and situations.
Former Vice President Mike Pence criticized President Donald Trump’s across-the-board tariffs on Monday, arguing that a looming “price shock” to the economy and potential shortages will lead Americans to “demand a different approach” from the White House.
In an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Pence rebuffed Trump’s recent comments that children in the United States will have to make do with fewer toys.
Trump’s first-term vice president also said he sees some of Trump’s actions as sharp breaks from what he said were the successes of their administration. That includes “wavering support for Ukraine” in its war with Russia and the “marginalizing the right to life” that Pence said followed Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s selection as health and human services secretary.
Now watching Trump’s return to power from the sidelines, Pence said he plans to make a public case on those issues — in part so that Trump might hear arguments those in his White House aren’t making.
“Whatever the future holds for me, I’m going to try and be a consistent voice for those conservative values that I think are not only the right policy for the Republican Party, but I think they’re the best way forward for a boundless future for the American people,” Pence said.
The former vice president’s comments came the day after he received the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage award for his actions on January 6, 2021, the day Trump supporters attacked the Capitol. Pence faced pressure from Trump to use his constitutional role presiding over the counting of electoral college votes to seek to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
In the interview, which took place at the JFK Presidential Library in Boston, Pence said Trump “sent the wrong message” by pardoning or commuting the sentences of more than 1,000 supporters who rioted at the Capitol.

I was never a fan of Pence but I will give him his props for not being one of the ass kissing slugs surrounding Little Donny.
It will be interesting how His Majesty handles the ‘disrespect’ he will surely claim.
Do you any thoughts on this?
I Read, I Write, You Know
“lego ergo scribo”
I can’t imagine how anyone on the Trump side or the Trump haters or just the regular Constitution respecters could possibly think it was possible to overturn election results with action by Pence or any other of electoral college or elected officials could think the election results could be overturned by such a small and powerless group. The fools that thought it even possible are even mre feeble minded. To call the foolishness of Jan 6 a threat to America to overthrow the government was a silly belief on the part of the demonstrators or all the insurrection fearmongering of the left. The sanctuary declarations of a dozen states and a thousand cities declaring all federal immigration law null and void is a real insurrection and rebellion and threat to the nation. I listened to Pence at the JFK Courage
Award ceremony for him and was again impressed with the integrrity and common decency of Mike Pence.
You still think 6 January was a protest? Okay we can blame the immigrants for everything….at least it gives Biden a rest for a little while. Gerrymandering is a good way to rig an election it is where politicians pick their voters not the other way around. chuq
It wasn’t a protest, it was a full blown riot. Trump set it up, I know, and the people who came to Washington that day may not have planned to invade it, but as soon as that first door was opened, mob rule took over. I think back now and realize just how terrified the congressmen and senators must have been, seeing that from the first row, as it were…Trump may be three kinds of crazy, but he knows how to run an audience.
There are too many that still believe that it was a protest and not an act of treason….that is how ignorant they are…..chuq
I don’t call it treason, or protest: it was an attempt to take over the White House and /or do as much damage as possible. and then, I expect, blame the “legal” administration for the mess.
Judy trying to nullify the election through attack is treason in my book. chuq
True enough; not sure if it works that way as a true act of treason, at least politically. I really don’t know, since this is the only time we have ever had one candidate try to take over a presidency…
If thi9ngs keep moving in the direction it is going now it will not be the last. chuq
it’s funny, maybe it’s the snoop in me, but im torn between “I’m glad I’m old and probably won’t be around to see what happens next” and “damn, I’m gonna miss the fireworks…”
I lean to the damn and fireworks….it will be historic and I love my history. chuq
That ‘protest’ came equipped with battering rams, axes, sticks, anything that could get them into the building. One poor girl was interviewed the door, she had fallen and was saved from being trampled, and she said, sobbing” I didn’t think THIS was going to happen…”
Groups like Proud Boys intended for what happened to happen they made no bones about it. chuq
I watched much of it as it happened, and it was terrifying. I can still see the footage in my head
It was terrifying that Americans and their disregard for the process…..also it was sickening. chuq
Pence was always the guy in the seat in the corner. I never heard him speak until the riots, and I was impressed by his behavior. His refusal to ‘get in that car” was chilling, as was that carefully constructed noose outside… I got the feeling then, he realized he was in the wrong place in that presidency, with no real way out. VPs in general are place holders, and rarely get a voice. Basically, he has seen this dude in action before, up close and personal.
I respected him for his actions that day…..not particularly fond of the guy but he did the right thing more than I can say for his boss. chuq
Never thought I would say anything good about Pence, but his refusal to facilitate the overturning of the vote will mark him down as a good guy in history. I hope he says lots of bad ‘insider’ stuff about Trump, but then I fear he will suffer a ‘tragic accident’ soon after.
Best wishes, Pete.
I agree….he will keep quiet about some ‘dirt’ to preserve his breathing. chuq
We are rapidly descending into a third world country; half of me is glad I probably won’t see what comes next, the other half is pulling up the shades so as not to miss any of it…
Kinda like that train wreck that you cannot turn away. chuq
