Welcome To The ‘Love In’

In Donny’s cabinet meeting after his first 100 days in office was yesterday and these meetings are usually about departments point out problems and offering solutions and discussion would ensue….that would be the usual tact of doings….but that is not a Donny cabinet meeting here he wants his praise and that is all that is important….and he was not disappointed….

In a two-hour game of one-upmanship at the White House on Wednesday, top Cabinet officials took turns drenching President Trump with praise that went beyond even the usual levels of adulation. Near the end of the marathon meeting, Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that the US has brought home 47 wrongfully detained Americans so far in Trump’s second term. “Forty-seven for the 47th president in the first 100 days,” Rubio said. “And that’s all credit to you, Mr. President.”

  • Earlier in the session, Vice President JD Vance mused that “most” of the presidents whose portraits adorn the Oval Office—who include Ronald Reagan, James Madison, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln — were mere “placeholders” who weren’t “men of action,” the AP reports.
  • Energy Secretary Doug Burgum observed that Trump was “not just courageous, you’re actually fearless” in taking on issues that other presidents dare not touch. “All of us can sprint, because you’re running ahead,” Burgum said.
  • The president assembled his Cabinet to celebrate the 100-day mark of his second term, and Trump opened by noting that “things are happening that are amazing, but I would not say it if it weren’t fact.” From there, the president let others do the talking.
  • Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that Trump in his second term saved “258 million lives” due to the amount of fentanyl that his Justice Department has taken off the streets. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. thanked the president for “your vision and leadership, for giving me the 100 busiest days of my life.”
  • “I just want to say thank you, as a veteran of our military, for assembling what is the greatest national security team that I have ever seen in my 27 years associated with the United States Army,” said Lee Zeldin, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
  • the praise wasn’t devoted just to the commander-in-chief. As Burgum spoke, he noted the “amazing group of people around the table” and added a quick aside to Trump: “You probably assembled the greatest Cabinet ever.”
  • During the meeting, Trump told Elon Musk he was invited to stay in his administration indefinitely. Trump said Musk had been “treated unfairly” for his role in helping Trump slash the size and scope of the federal government. “You really have sacrificed a lot,” he said. Musk, who wore a Gulf of America hat on top of a DOGE hat, also praised Trump, the Washington Examinerreports. “A tremendous amount has been accomplished in the first 100 days,” he said. “As everyone has said, it’s more than has been accomplished in any administration before ever, period.”

The economy sucks, we are fighting wars all over the world, the government is at a virtual standstill and this is what is important…..unqualified tools sucking up to an idiot to keep their lucrative jobs.

What a pack of brown nose pukes!  Cheese eating cocks*ckers!

There are real problems with this country that need addressing and instead we get a ‘lovefest’….This display is petty and pathetic.

Can you now visualize why I call this ‘team’ of unqualified clowns a Sh*t Show?

I am not worried about my future….are you?

What say you?

The House Of Waffle

No this is not some review of a chain eatery….but rather more on the ever changing tariffs that Little Donny and the gang cannot make up their minds.

Donny’s tariffs were putting a strain on our auto industry to the point that Mazda will shutter and wait.

Then as if right on cue…..Donny heard from Wall Street and he danced his auto tariffs back….putting the Magic Sharpie back to work.

President Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday to relax some of his 25% tariffs on autos and auto parts, a significant reversal as the import taxes threatened to hurt domestic manufacturers. Automakers and independent analyses have indicated that the tariffs could raise prices, reduce sales, and make US production less competitive worldwide, per the AP. The Wall Street Journal reports that the order involves changes in how the import taxes would be enforced to prevent multiple tariffs stacking up on foreign-made vehicles. The changes are retroactive, meaning automakers will be reimbursed for some tariffs already paid.

Under the order, imported tariffs not covered by trade deals with Canada and Mexico will still face 25% tariffs, but automakers will be reimbursed for up to 3.75% of a car’s value, CNBC reports. After a year, that will fall to 2.5%. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the goal was to enable automakers to create more domestic manufacturing jobs. “President Trump has had meetings with both domestic and foreign auto producers, and he’s committed to bringing back auto production to the US,” Bessent said. “So we want to give the automakers a path to do that, quickly, efficiently, and create as many jobs as possible.” Later Tuesday, Trump said, “It’s a little bit of help. We just wanted to help them enjoy this little transition, short-term.”

The tariffs imposed by Trump were seen by some as an existential threat to the auto sector. Arthur Laffer, whom Trump gave the Presidential Medal of Freedom to during his first term, said in a private analysis that the tariffs without any modifications could add $4,711 to the cost of a vehicle. It remains unclear what impact Trump’s broader tariffs will have on the US economy and auto sales. Most economists say the tariffs—which could ultimately hit most imports—would raise prices and slow economic growth, possibly hurting auto sales despite the relief that the administration intends to offer on its previous policies.

This is not, contrary to popular belief, a negotiation style…..it is a game that sole purpose is the make the wealthy more so….

That leads me to ask…is Trump trying to destroy the economy?  If so….why?

Not content with shattering the post-1945 international order, which delivered prosperity and power to his country for eight long decades, Donald Trump is seemingly set on destroying the US economy. And he’s doing it because he, and the American right, have lost their ability to grasp reality.

Start with the economic vandalism, unfolding in real time and mesmerising to watch. For weeks, you could see the US stock market falling and falling until on Thursday the S&P index passed an unwanted milestone: it stood more than 10% down from the peak it had reached less than a month earlier, a fall that meets the Wall Street definition of a “correction”. In other words, even if the market eventually rallies, this is no blip.

The talk now is of a recession and you can tell that Trump himself suspects it’s coming. “I hate to predict things like that,” he said this week. “There is a period of transition because what we’re doing is very big. We’re bringing wealth back to America … It takes a little time.” Did you catch that? The great booster, who campaigned on a promise to turn things around “on day one”, is now adopting the lotus position, talking of “transition” and urging patience.

The source of the trouble is not mysterious. It is Trump himself. His actions since taking office less than two months ago have spooked investors. They crave stability but see a president who governs by whim. Those whims can change hourly – imposing a tariff after breakfast only to drop it before lunch. One minute it’s a 50% levy on Canadian aluminium, the next it’s 200% on European wine, only for one or the other to be binned within hours. It keeps Trump in the news, which he loves, but plays havoc with companies that have to plan for the long term. Confronted by chaos, they prefer to wait to see where things settle. That means orders on hold, workers without work, less money in everyone’s pocket.

Please if you support this maniac tell us just why the Hell is he Making America Great Again?

Also Donny is doing what he does best….blaming others for his screw ups….

President Donald Trump defended his attempt to cast blame on his predecessor, former president Joe Biden, after the Labor Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis found that the American economy shrank by 0.3 percent during the first quarter of this year, marking the first drop in three years as Trump’s tariff policies disrupted businesses and their supply chains.

Earlier in the day, Trump took to Truth Social on Wednesday to blame his predecessor for the dismal numbers, writing that what was transpiring was “Biden’s stock market, not Trump’s.”

He added: “I didn’t take over until January 20th. Tariffs will soon start kicking in, and companies are starting to move into the USA in record numbers. Our Country will boom, but we have to get rid of the Biden ‘Overhang.’ This will take a while, has NOTHING TO DO WITH TARIFFS, only that he left us with bad numbers, but when the boom begins, it will be like no other. BE PATIENT!!!”

If recall correctly the markets were around 40,000…it was a good year for the markets….so on 20 January it became a Trump market….so his statement that “Biden’s stock market, not Trump’s.” is pure steaming bullshit.

Are you buying the snake oil this idiot is selling?

The Cost Of Tariffs

Welcome to May Day or the International Day of the Worker

I cannot believe that this needs repeating….but sadly it does.

But something of a conundrum….I see a lot of readers that are worried about their retirement with all the issues with DOGE and these same people when the topic of tariffs comes around they defend Donny’s tactics…they almost always reference the book “The Art Of The Deal” which at best is just bound toilet paper.

Onto the consequences of these damn silly tariffs….

For those that cannot quite grasp the reality of this pipe dream….the tariffs on a country like China or Canada is NOT…I repeat….I NOT paid by the country….NO it is paid by the US importers and is passed on to the consumer….that meaning YOU….at best it is just another tax that will be paid by the people of this nation.

Can you grasp the situation now?

No?

Tariffs cannot do certain things…(I try to keep it simple)

1. Tariffs can’t both create permanent domestic jobs and be a temporary negotiating tool.

2. Tariffs can’t both protect domestic industries and generate trillions of dollars in revenue.

Donny’s promise is that these tariffs will bring manufacturing and jobs back to the US….the estimates are that they will create about 100,000 jobs…good huh?  Think again….while destroying about 500,000 jobs….destroying jobs and screwing the people is not a good trade off in my opinion.

As that dynamic plays out across the whole economy, the tariffs will create more losers than winners. A Goldman Sachs report published this week estimates that Trump’s tariffs will create about 100,000 new manufacturing jobs (a result of supply chains shifting to the U.S., as the president wants) but will destroy 500,000 other jobs in the process.

That would reflect what happened during Trump’s first term, when his tariffs cost about 245,000 American jobs, by one estimate.

More layoffs are almost certainly coming.

To illustrate…did you see where Mazda has shuttered its US operation because of the tariffs?

Following President Donald Trump’s introduction of the “Liberation Day” tariffs, the first major car manufacturer has announced plans to halt production in the United States.

The president, who initiated blanket tariffs of 10% on all countries except Canada, Mexico, and China, 25% tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, as well as on all automobiles, and a 125% tariff on China, has not backed down from his stance and has even issued threats to other countries.

While the president has stated that his tariffs will bring manufacturing back to the United States, one automaker seems to be leaving instead.

Mazda has confirmed it will halt production of CX-50 vehicles bound for Canada due to the tariffs in the U.S. and the corresponding retaliatory measures enacted in Canada.

The company confirmed that production at its Huntsville, Alabama, plant will be suspended beginning on May 12.

If tariff policies remain unchanged and the plant stays closed for an extended period, the price of the CX-50 in Canada could rise further.

There is word that Mack, the builder of those semis, will be doing some hard thinking and making some very hard decisions soon….jobs included.

can consumers have been shielded from much of the impact. But as the world of international shipping adjusts to his policies, the president is facing a potential reckoning.

With the US-China trade war starting to gum up container traffic between the world’s two biggest economies, freight companies are warning of plunging bookings and a surge in “blank sailings” – where ports are skipped or voyages are called off altogether.

Earlier this week, America’s most powerful retail executives trooped into the White House to deliver a blunt prognosis: tariffs on Chinese goods risked causing “empty shelves” in two weeks without a change of course.

The three companies who attended the meeting – Walmart, Target and Home Depot – are among the most exposed to the president’s policies, which include tariffs of up to 145pc on Chinese goods and higher port fees for Chinese-made vessels.

Most Americans do not understand tariffs….most still believe that say China will be paying….which is completely wro9ng….this article explains the confusion somewhat….

One of the hot-button issues in US politics lately? Tariffs. President Donald Trump has gone back and forth on the controversial issue, announcing tariffs on imports from other countries before later imposing delays. The results have been nothing short of disastrous — from retaliatory tariffs to deep stock market declines to rising prices. Some of this has come as a shock to Trump supporters and conservatives, who seemed to think tariffs would A) force other countries to foot the bill and B) drive business back to America.

I wish people would spend more time learning the mechanics of economics and less time worry about what some slutty bitch was wearing on Instagram….they would be better informed and better off in the lives.

Do I need to break it down further?
