New Year’s Day–2023

I apologize if I have missed anything important but my cold came back onto me and the first was a bad day…..hopefully things will soon get back to normal…..sorry I am a day late.

First I would like to wish everyone a very happy New Year and hopefully all are well….

Actually I am very happy to see 2022 in the rear view mirror….it was a year that I wanted to end and it seemed to go on and on…..why?

January 2022 my car died and had to bite the bullet and buy another.

March my son-in-law of 20 years died at age 50.

June we learned that Sue’s cancer had returned and she had to go through chemo all over.

July my A/C crapped out and had to spend thousands for a complete new system.

October Sue was given the news that her new surgery would be in January.

So as you can see it was not the best of years.

Enough of my problems….

I would like to thank all my regulars for the continuing visits and their loyalty and I appreciate their readership in the coming year.

  1. I consider every year a good year just as long as I am breathing. So even with my many challenges in 2022, it was still a good year for me. I also wish you the best that life has to offer in 2023 and beyond necausde you are wonderful people.

  2. Well, old chum… that is quite a list for a single year. Lots of emotional and practical burdens you had to go through. Obviously the most important is Sue’s struggles… and your son-in-law’s passing as that affects your daughter and any grandkids as well. Yet it sounds like you were the anchor to hold it all together. I’ve had the occasional gauntlet year like that in the past and I mention that not to diminish your struggles in the least but to illustrate a bit an empathy with you that sometimes life does suck… yet somehow we manage in spite of it all.
I hope you have a better year ahead and that Sue’s condition improves to give you both years ahead together.
