Can Hil Really Do It?

I have not been a supporter of anyone in the Clinton family since the election of Bubba Clinton as president…..I think that his policies did more damage than good during his time in the White House and now I am being asked to vote for yet another Clinton…..do not think it is in the cards….fool me once is on me and I refuse to be sucker punched twice…..

I tried to get on her campaign website and found that I could only go there if I give them my email….sadly that will NOT HAPPEN!  I did find a site that would let me access her plans, as they are……

I have heard her speeches about the middle and lower classes needing a boost up and there is where I want to comment……

Her plans are as follows from the site of her campaign (the one that I could access)

  • Give working families a raise, and tax relief that helps them manage rising costs.
  • Create good-paying jobs and get pay rising by investing in infrastructure, clean energy, and scientific and medical research to strengthen our economy and growth.
  • Close corporate tax loopholes and make the most fortunate pay their fair share.

Hillary believes the defining economic challenge of our time is raising incomes for hardworking Americans.

Too many families are working harder and harder, but still not getting ahead. Our country is standing again, but we’re not yet running the way we should be. From her first day in office to the last, Hillary Clinton will fight for you and for more take-home pay so you can get ahead and stay ahead.

Hillary understands that in order to raise incomes, we need strong growth, fair growth, and long-term growth. And she has a plan to get us there.

These are lofty ideals….but will she hold her hubby’s ideals up as an example?

I hope the Hell not…..this graph will show just how effective Bill’s deal was……

If you do not like that graph…how about another?

No matter how you want to cut it the middle class declined in the Clinton years and has not recovered to the point that the middle class can survive……

As you can see income for the poor was flat lined and the income for the middle class declined especially from 1992 to 2000….the magic time of the Clinton presidency…..is this what we working stuffs have to look forward to with a Hillary prez?

You vote for whom you want…..but if you want the middle class to survive then I would suggest that Clinton is not the way.

  1. Does it by any chance define “fair share”? Because according to the Republicans, a flat tax represents a “fair share.” Kind of a meaningless term in the absence of specifics.

I would add: Don’t vote for Trump if you want ANYONE to survive…

    1. I would say “Vote For Trump” if you are sick and tired of how the right wing has been sticking it to the common man .. the “Little Guy” … the ones who work and pay taxes ….because if the right wing is allowed to continue on their Reverse Robin Hood course survival will be up for question anyway. Of course the moneyed elite will survive if no one else does and most of them are …. right wing greed mongers.

  2. While I am NOT a supporter of ANY of the candidates, I would point out that the economic policies of ALL the presidents don’t really affect the economy much until they are out of office. During their own term, the economy is still reacting to whatever happened previously…. It is a mistake, which all too many make, to blame current conditions on the current president; it’s not his doing, until, perhaps, near the end of his term….

Second, the theory of capitalism has a fatal flaw, which nobody seems to want to acknowledge. In order for it to work, at all, it MUST have a continuous supply of new markets to exploit…. Once the limit to that is reached, which is the same place we have been in for about 45 years, where the resources available to exploit are just not there, the entire system of organization simply falls apart under its own weight…. That simple fact is why all the playing around with the money markets took place. and continues to take place, as the money grubbers try to prop up the illusion that money is real by making more of it… while the resources of the planet are plundered to the point where there simply is not enough there to support the nearly eight billion naked apes who are infesting the surface, all of whom want everything they can get….

Capitalism is about to collapse, under its own weight, for it is all a house of cards, and will not stand up to any more levels. Gravity will have its way….

    1. Money is only an illusion anyway — no matter how you try to define it money is nothing but the transferrence of mental or spiritual energy (represented to the cognizant senses by paper bills and metal coinage) from desire to object by the will of those engaged in the transactions. The system sustaining this kind of transfer is irrelevant because the transfer will occur regardless of what the transferral system is dubbed by those making use of it. If Kapitalizm fails something else will take its place but the transfer of desire to goods through transactions will continue unabated.

      1. Aye, what you describe is, indeed, what humanity has done for ages, since the dawn of community… it’s called barter, and works fine for any human interaction…. Assigning an illusory system of organization will never work, for it allows corruption and manipulation, removing the transactions from the personal level to the societal, which is the illusion….

But, people seem to prefer to believe in their delusions… witness religions, governments, etc. none of which people need, but, seem to think they do, because they are too lazy to think for themselves….

Karma, and, natural selection, in action….

  3. I don’t think she “Has” to do anything. I think this whole coronation scenario was worked out in detail and cemented into place as America’s future sometime just prior to or during the first Obama campaign.

    1. Actually, if one looks at the big picture, the scenario we are witnessing today was planned much earlier than merely eight years ago…. This has been in the works since BEFORE the Bubba got himself elected… He was merely the stepping-stone… and, in truth, those who influence elections have been working toward this for many decades….

Corporations plan in terms of centuries, not years… they adjust the plan as events unfold, but. the goal, of total domination, is always the same…. and, they’re getting very close…. The only thing that will stop them is their own short-sightedness in re: their plans don’t include the planet, or allow for the depletion of resources, or the effects of climate change, which will soon become EVERYONE’S overriding concern, if ANY of us are to survive….

People don’t seem to want to look at what is staring them in the face. The climate is changing, and it will gain speed, and intensity, as time passes. We are all in for the test of our lifetimes, and those of our children, for, if we do not start very, very soon to try to stop and/or mitigate what we have already done, it will be, and most likely already is, too fucking late….

      1. Might be all part of a universal law that some have labeled “Natural Selection.” I believe the Creation is a living thing that occasionally takes a dump to relieve all its inner tensions and when it happens cultures and histories fall and everyone more or less starts all over again. I think it is a cycle that has been repeated since antiquity and I do not think there is an antidote for it. I think anything the measly and weak Human can do is to delay the inevitable for awhile .. but in the end I think it will overtake like it always has done and the cycle of renewal will be upon the face of the waters one more time.

      2. Arthur C. Clarke once noted there is currently no reliable evidence that intelligence has any survival value, in terms of Darwin’s Theory of Natural Selection, a theory with the force of overwhelming evidence as to its veracity… including recent DNA studies, which bear out everything Darwin noted.

The unfortunate part, for us, personally, is that WE are the ones who are going to witness the cataclysm, I’m afraid… If not you and I, our grandchildren will, for sure and for certain….

      3. Value or no value I think it is incontestible that Intelligence always manage to rise to the highest level of its own incompetence and is therefore self-liquidating which is why it must always be refreshed and renewed by the cataclysms of nature and of Metaphysics.

      4. To the best of my knowledge, intelligence is defined only by humans. We perceive it in ourselves, and try to project that onto reality, by assigning some sort of order to the universe. This order is ONLY our perception; there is no real evidence, anywhere in the physical world, of its existence in anything other than ourselves, and our perception…

Hence, I would be hesitant to make ANY predictions as to its eventual disposition in reality, as WE are the only examples we have to examine, historically, and, in the fossil records and physical makeup of the universe, ‘as we perceive it’…

I think we assign much more importance to it than it warrants. by the evidence….

But, then, we humans have always had a much larger sense of our importance than is warranted….

  4. The federal government has a minimum wage for federal employees. Companies with government contracts are required to pay at least the federal minimum wage to its employees UNLESS — UNLESS the state minimum wage where the employees work is more.

So here’s my concern about the “fair wage” and “minimum wage” campaign talks. First, the feds can only raise minimum wage for federal employees. They cannot take over states’ rights to establish its own minimum wage, or no minimum wage at all. Are those campaigning trying to pull our legs or what?
