Those Political Donations

As we close in the vote it seems that the begging for bucks has gotten non-stop…..I do not blindly support any party especially with my cash…..but what about others?

All I can say is you need to beware of the robo-calls and such….

A CNN investigation has uncovered a troubling trend in political fundraising, one in which elderly Americans—particularly those with dementia—are unwittingly becoming major donors to campaigns. Both parties have benefited from the practice, which often begins with a small online donation to a candidate. But once the hooks are set, a barrage of texts and emails follow, often deploying deceptive practices that sign people up for recurring donations without them realizing it. Those donating commonly think they’re communicating directly with their favored candidate. The investigation reached out to more than 300 of the largest and most-frequent small-sum political contributors and found dozens of examples of “unwitting elderly donors.”

“The fundraising operations that have solicited money from vulnerable senior citizens use either WinRed or ActBlue, two juggernaut digital platforms that unite hundreds of political groups and campaigns under a single umbrella,” per the story. It’s a profitable enterprise: Each platform gets about 4% off each transaction. The FTC has logged more than 800 complaints about WinRed from 2022 through 2024, and 120 about ActBlue. The story includes multiple examples of families fighting to get back hefty sums, sometimes in the six figures. “He was old, lonely, and isolated,” says the son of an 81-year-old donor who wound up in debt after giving about $80,000 in small but constant increments. “‘Save America, help save America,’ that was the constant message,” adds the son. “He would get thanked for helping to save America.”

These creeps do not care about the person making the donations as long as they get a name and a number.

Please beware of these parasites.

“A New Way Forward”

The media and most pundits are telling us that this election is an economic election….”are you better off today/”….sort of thing.

This is a look at the Dems and their promises of a better life.

In 2024 this is the tagline of the Dems and Harris…..personally I do not see this being new or forward moving…..basically it is the same rehash of the policies from Biden and a wealth of other Dems running for office.

But if you still need to have a bit of incentive then please her site and read what she is proposing…

I do not see the ‘new way’….but then I am not the biggest fan of Democrats these days.

Weaponization Of Words

I have been watching and writing about our politics for many many years, more than I care to count, and in those years I have watched the weaponizing of words in the campaigns and beyond….it has gone from thinly veiled innuendoes to the hate-speak of today.

This election seems to be heavy on the accusations….

Divisive rhetoric — such as labeling immigrants as “invaders” or “criminals,” using inflammatory language like “enemy of the people” to describe the media, dehumanizing speech that refers to people of certain ethnicities as “animals,” and outright racism — is becoming all too familiar. This way of politicking isn’t just a betrayal of democratic principles and American ideals. The toxic talk we’re experiencing is a clear and present danger to our social contract.

The consequences of this kind of rhetoric are severe. Look at the recent rise in hate crimes and discrimination against ethnic groups. It creates a toxic environment in which fear and anger run the show, clouding our judgment and leading us to destruction. It tears at the seams that bind us together, threatening to rip us apart. Most damaging, it poisons our political discourse, preventing us from discussing critical issues honestly, finding common ground and working towards solutions that benefit all Americans. But the danger goes even further.

When leaders use rhetoric that demonizes, scapegoats and dehumanizes, they’re not just dividing the people; they’re actively undermining the foundations of our country. They’re saying some lives and rights matter less than others. They’re violating the sacred principle of equality that is the bedrock of our democracy.

Disrespectful discourse isn’t just anti-democratic; it’s the opposite of healthy citizenship and basic human decency. It’s a poison that infects our society, corrupting the ideals of liberty, equality and justice we hold so dear. This “toxic rhetoric” refers to language that incites hatred, fear and discrimination, and it’s a system in which some are elevated at the expense of others, leading to injustice and inequality. Marginalized groups are inevitably the target of hatred, violence and oppression. We bear the brunt of this toxic rhetoric, suffering the consequences of a society that has lost its way.

https://thefulcrum.us/bridging-common-ground/divisive-political-rhetoric

The hatred, if we call it that, has gotten to the point of no return it seems….

Sorry to say the Trump is the master of this hate-speak…..

“No president has ever spoken like that before,” President Joe Biden said of former President Donald Trump during their June 27, 2024, debate. He was referring to Trump’s suggestion of seeking political retribution, a part of the projected image that won Trump the Republican nomination and presidency in 2016—one that is on display again in the current presidential election campaign.

A UCLA working paper, “Donald Trump’s Words,” explores the distinctiveness of the Republican presidential nominee’s rhetoric and places it in a broader historical perspective. The study, published by the National Bureau of Economic Research, is co-authored by UCLA department of political science graduate student Nikita Savin and Daniel Treisman, a UCLA political science professor and a research associate with NBER.

Savin and Treisman analyzed transcripts of 99 Trump speeches from April 2015 to June 2024—focusing on political rallies and mass meetings aimed at the general public and speeches to , political conferences and labor unions—then compared them to speeches made by other major politicians past and present, including all American main party since 2008, and foreign dictators.

https://phys.org/news/2024-08-tracks-donald-trump-weaponization-words.html

Common decency has left the room….it has been on its way out for some time and now it has totally exited the campaigns.

At what point do we allow this divisiveness to continue?  After all we are all Americans and as such should treat our opponents with some civility.

Does this weaponization really need to be part of our political system?

Please share any thoughts.

The Harris Economic Plan

Before the campaign starts in earnest the Harris people have released the economic plan that she will pursue….not that it will ever become the law of the land….her plans sounds a lot like the ideas from Biden and very little is sounded progressive…..

That said why not look at her proposals…..

Vice President Kamala Harris is set to make her most significant economic policy announcement yet, to include a proposed ban on price gouging in the food sector and a crackdown on corporations. Harris will unveil her economic plan Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina, and the proposals described or hinted at in advance of the announcement indicate “a sharp escalation in the economic populism” of President Biden, reports the Washington Post. Here’s what to expect, according to CNN, NPR, and Reuters:

  • “The first-ever federal ban on price gouging on food and groceries … to make clear that big corporations can’t unfairly exploit consumers to run up excessive corporate profits,” the campaign says, per the Post.
  • Tax breaks the campaign says will lead to 3 million new housing units over four years, moving beyond a Biden administration proposal to allow 2 million new and renovated homes.
  • Limit tax breaks for corporate investors that buy up large numbers of single-family rental homes.
  • A ban on rental price-fixing.
  • $25,000 for more than 1 million first-time home buyers to help with the down payment, up from a $10,000 tax credit proposed under Biden.
  • A $40 billion fund to help local governments finance innovative housing construction, up from a $20 billion proposal under Biden.
  • End federal income taxes on tips, also backed by former President Trump.
  • Expand the child tax credit to $6,000 for families with newborn children.
  • A push to lower healthcare costs and cancel medical debt.

A few are ambitious….my problem is words are cheap how will she accomplish all these promises?

Let’s look at the one that is on everyone’s mind…..the high cost of food….

Economic justice advocates on Thursday applauded the Harris campaign’s announcement the Vice President Kamala Harris is planning to unveil a historic ban on food and grocery price gouging amid widespread discontent about costs that have ballooned by 26% in the last five years.

The Democratic presidential candidate is expected to unveil the proposal for the first-ever federal price gouging ban at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday, detailing plans to direct the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to impose “harsh penalties” on companies that hike food prices to pad their profits.

As president, the campaign said late Wednesday, Harris would set “clear rules of the road to make clear that big corporations can’t unfairly exploit consumers to run up excessive corporate profits on food and groceries,” building on actions President Joe Biden has taken, such as the creation of a Strike Force on Unfair and Illegal Pricing and his guidelines aimed at reining in corporate mergers.

The rules would be introduced in Harris’ first 100 days in office, should she win the presidential election in November.

I see Bernie is on-board with these ‘promises’….

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders praised the economic agenda outlined Friday by Democratic nominee Kamala Harris as “an important step forward in making our country a fairer and more just society.”

While acknowledging that the vice president’s slate of proposals does not go as far as he “would like,” Sanders said it is “an economic agenda that begins to speak to the needs of working families and takes on the unprecedented corporate greed that is taking place throughout America.”

“At a time when the price of healthcare is soaring, Vice President Harris understands that we need to cancel medical debt in America,” said Sanders. “At a time when we have a major housing crisis, with 650,000 people experiencing homelessness, Vice President Harris understands that we have to build at least 3 million units of affordable housing, provide a $25,000 down payment for first-time homebuyers, and prevent corporate landlords from jacking up rent.”

https://www.commondreams.org/news/sanders-harris-economic-agenda

Is this truly a plan Bernie would propose?

Good question and we may never know the answer.

Sadly I will not hold my breath waiting for these ‘plans’ to be implemented….right now it is so much noise of a campaign….there is NO proof in the pudding so to speak.

Odd that after high prices plaguing the population and the Dems come up with a plan just before an election makes me doubt their sincerity.

We will see just how gung-ho they are after the election.

Around The 2024 Campaign

Stop The Presses!

It is official as of yesterday…..Biden has dropped out!

President Biden on Sunday dropped his bid for reelection, as more members of his party called on him to leave the race in light of his disastrous debate performance against Republican Donald Trump. “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the reminder of my term,” the statement says, per the Washington Post. A short time later, Biden separately announced on X his “full support and endorsement” of Vice President Kamala Harris to become the Democratic nominee.

Biden’s decision ends one political crisis and brings another, per the New York Times. It’s not clear who might replace Biden and whether the party will close ranks around Harris or begin a brief process to select someone else as nominee. It also concludes a political career covering a half-century, beginning when Biden was elected to the Senate in 1972 as one of its youngest members ever and ending with him as the oldest president ever at 82. “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president,” he wrote Sunday. “Democrats—it’s time to come together and beat Trump,” he said. “Let’s do this.”

The warning signs for Democrats had included Biden’s declining fortunes in polls and a withdrawal of support by big donors. One of them, Gideon Stein, on Sunday called Biden “a true American hero” and predicted the decision will lead to Democratic victory in the November election. Daniella Ballou-Aares, leader of a group organizing business executives pressuring Biden to withdraw, likened his decision Sunday to George Washington’s relinquishment of power, saying it’s “a historic precedent for selfless leadership.” Biden’s letter to the nation can be read here.

Sorry Dems but I do not think Harris is the answer.

Time is drawing close….time for us to cast our vote…..so I thought I would look at the news around the campaigns…..

Donald Trump went back on the campaign trail Saturday, in his first rally since the attempt on his life in Pennsylvania. The Michigan event also marked his first appearance outside the Republican National Convention with JD Vance, the running mate crowned by the delegates this week in Milwaukee. Trump mocked the opposition party’s chaos over whether President Biden will stay on the Democratic ticket, the Washington Post reports, asking the Grand Rapids crowd its choice for his opponent: Vice President Kamala Harris, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, or the incumbent. Biden won the voice vote. Other campaign developments involve:

Wound update: Earlier in the day, Trump posted a letter on Truth Social platform from his former doctor providing new information about the injury sustained when a gunman shot at the former president last Saturday. Rep. Ronny Jackson said Trump suffered a bullet wound at the top of his right ear that was two centimeters wide, saying the shot was “less than a quarter of an inch from entering his head,” per the AP. There’s no longer any swelling, Jackson said, adding that the injury “is beginning to granulate and heal properly.” The memo said Trump still needs to wear a bandage because of intermittent bleeding. At the rally, where Trump talked about the shooting, the white bandage of earlier in the week was replaced by a smaller, tan one.

Project 2025: Trump upped the rhetoric in putting distance between himself and Project 2025, in which allies lay out a presidential agenda for him, per the Post. He told the rally that the Heritage Foundation’s plan comes from the “severe right” and is “seriously extreme.”  (Do you truly believe he would bad mouth Heritage….I do not)

Democrats: Campaign spokesperson Michael Tyler told reporters on Saturday that details of Biden’s return to campaigning will be released “as soon as we have the green light,” per the AP. Biden is isolating in Delaware, and his doctor provided an update Saturday on the president’s COVID bout. Vice President Kamala Harris was in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where organizers reported that a fundraiser netted more than $2 million, per CNN. “We are going to win,” Harris told supporters. “It’s not going to be easy.” The Postreports that big donors are paying for an independent, early-stage vetting process for potential vice-presidential nominees, should Biden leave the ticket and Harris assume the top spot.

Biden is hold up in Delaware…..his COVID news….

President Biden still has a loose cough and hoarseness as he deals with COVID-19, his doctor reported Saturday, though the symptoms are easing. The president has now had six doses of Paxlovid, Dr. Kevin O’Connor wrote in a letter he released. He said tests showed that Biden contracted the KP.2.3 variant of COVID. About 13% of new COVID cases involve that strain, the Washington Post reports, and KP variants overall cause more than 80% of recent infections. The new variants don’t appear to be leading to more serious illnesses, experts say.

Now what about all the calls for him to step aside….how is that going?

(Apparently he saw the handwriting on the wall and took a powder)

This part of the post is a moot point….go to top and read the intro.

President Biden is recovering from COVID at his beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware, and there’s likely some fist-shaking going on in the general direction of top Democrats. Using terms like “fuming” and “increasingly resentful,” the Times paints a picture of a sitting president in an unprecedented situation: Facing a quietly orchestrated mutiny from party leaders including his old boss, Barack Obama, as well as Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries, with less than a month until the Democratic National Convention.

Biden particularly blames Pelosi for the efforts to get him to step aside, reports the Times, citing sources close to Biden, but is also increasingly bitter toward Obama, who he sees as quietly pulling strings in the background and not doing anything to help his campaign. But while Biden has staunchly maintained that he’s sticking the course, in private, sources say he’s discussing how and when to bow out.

One factor in the timing of any decision is a Wednesday visit by Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to address Congress. Without a ceasefire in place in Gaza, Netanyahu “will humiliate Biden,” Barbara Slavin, a fellow at think tank Stimson Center, tells DW. “It is an act of incredible chutzpah—nerve for him to show his face in Washington.” For now, Biden campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon tells Business Insider in a statement: “You have heard from the President directly time and again: He is in this race to win, and he is our nominee, and he’s going to be our President for a second term.”

Pelosi needs to shut-up….if there is any one person that does not need to point to age it is her….she has been milking the Congressional gravy train for decades…..time for her to go away.

Time is running out….a choice must be made……now the question should be is Harris capable of beating Trump in November?

I am sure there are lots of thoughts on this election…..then let’em fly!

‘Judgement Day’ Is Coming!

College of Political Knowledge

2024 Election Series

No this is not some whacked out predict of the end of the world….but instead a promise from a ‘great American’ (in some eyes).

For months now Donald the Orange has been promising to seek retaliation on his opponents and he renewed the promise at the most recent CPAC speech.

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump said Election Day in November this year will end up being a “judgement day” for his political opponents if he wins and vowed mass deportations on a scale never seen in the United States.

As part of a rambling and bizarre speech at the annual CPAC gathering of far-right activists and GOP operatives, Trump said, “For hardworking Americans, November 5 will be our new liberation day. But for the liars and cheaters and fraudsters and censors and imposters who have commandeered our government, it will be judgement day.”

Though he previously served as the President of the United States and remains de facto head of the Republican Party, Trump cast himself to the fascist audience members as a political “dissident” who would have his “ultimate and absolute revenge” on President Joe Biden and the Democrats who he claimed had turned the nation into a “living hell.”

Federal statistics show that crime rates have fallen since 2022, but that didn’t stop Trump from characterizing the nation as a crime-ridden dystopia on verge of annihiliation.

“Our country is being destroyed and the only thing standing between you and its obliteration is me,” Trump declared, harnessing his familiar demagoguery in which he characterizes himself as an authoritarian savior.

Ever wonder Why is populism attracting so many psychopaths?

Maybe this will help with an answer….

Psychopathic traits are associated with the endorsement of populist attitudes, according to new research published in the journal Electoral Studies. The findings shed light on the psychological foundations of populism, focusing on how the Dark Triad of personality interacts with populist beliefs across various European nations.

Populism is a political approach that seeks to champion the common people against a perceived elite or establishment that is considered corrupt or out of touch with the general population’s needs. At its core, populism divides society into two antagonistic groups: the pure people and the corrupt elite. Populism can manifest across the political spectrum, from left to right, and has been a driving force behind various political movements and leaders around the world, including Donald Trump in the United States.

The Dark Triad, on the other hand, refers to a trio of negative personality traits: Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy. Machiavellianism is characterized by manipulativeness, a cynical disregard for morality, and a focus on self-interest. Narcissism involves grandiosity, entitlement, and a lack of empathy. Psychopathy is marked by impulsivity, a lack of remorse, and antisocial behavior.

Psychopathic tendencies linked to a psychological predisposition towards populism

What Is A Conservative?

College of Political Knowledge

Election series

Since we are entering into the 2024 election cycle and so many people are floundering around politically I thought it would be a good idea for people to understand terms that they are throwing about….words like ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative’….and that is where I want to pick this up.

Let’s start with those aggravating conservatives….

Let’s dispense with one popular answer to this question, asserted by many American conservatives and liberals alike: that proper conservatives are devoted to “small government” or engaged in protecting “individual liberties” from a big government. These are slogans of today’s Republican Party, but there’s no good argument to believe that the party behind the War on Drugs (Richard Nixon, and later Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and every Republican since), the PATRIOT Act (George W. Bush), the first and second Iraq War (Both Bushes), massive police funding, eliminating the right to abortion, Don’t Say Gay laws, and school book bans is, in any way that makes sense, devoted to “limiting” the power of the government. To make sense of the word “conservative” we have to dig deeper than headlines and slogans.

Like a lot of our political vocabulary — see also: “left” and “right,” — the political meaning of “conservative” came as a result of the French Revolution of 1789, when democratic radicals deposed the monarchy and the aristocracy. Soon after, in 1818, defenders of the French Old Regime founded a pro-monarchy journal, Le Conservateur, that first used “conservative” in the modern, political sense. The magazine listed what it stood for in its first issue: “religion, the King, liberty…and upstanding people.” These were the things under threat from the new society formed after the Revolution.

Modern-day conservatives don’t necessarily want to protect or “conserve” the same things as their 19th-century brethren. (Not too many Americans will admit to being monarchists.) But they do share a fundamental dilemma with their French forebears: Defining yourself in terms of an old order and its enemies makes it difficult to explain the sort of future you want to build. On one hand, conservatives defend tradition and duty; on the other, the definitions of these things shift with every generation. And what good is a tradition if it changes all the time?

https://www.teenvogue.com/story/what-is-a-conservative

In short a conservative is a hypocritical slug that uses misinformation and lies to function in government….they champion small government but expand it whenever in power….they spend like a drunken sailor and go to battle over spending…..

Not to worry I will be critiquing ‘liberals’ soon (hint they are not what they seem)….no more Left than your right foot.

GOP Promises Ukrainian Scrutiny

The GOP has control of the House and they are promising more scrutiny on the aid being sent to Ukraine in their fight against Russia.

I will admit that I have been bitching and writing about our waste of aid on a massive scale and this idle promise I can get behind (you understand I am in favor of this policy…not the party)…..

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) indicated that a Republican-controlled Congress might scale back support for Ukraine’s military and civilian population in the ongoing war with Russia, which invaded Ukraine in February. McCarthy voiced support for Ukraine, but called for increased oversight and scrutiny of aid packages, pointing to financial problems faced domestically by American taxpayers.

Key Quotes: McCarthy stated that “I think people are gonna be sitting in a recession and they’re not going to write a blank check to Ukraine. They just won’t do it,” later adding, “It’s not a free blank check. And then there’s the things [Biden] is not doing domestically. Not doing the border and people begin to weigh that. Ukraine is important, but at the same time it can’t be the only thing they do and it can’t be a blank check.” Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) called McCarthy’s comments “disgraceful” and added, “I don’t know that I can say I was surprised.”

For Context: Should the Republican Party gain a majority in Congress, McCarthy is expected to be voted Majority Leader. A $12.3 billion additional aid package for Ukraine was part of last month’s government spending bill. The statements come as the war in Ukraine escalates among a string of victories for the Ukrainian military and increasingly nuclear rhetoric from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

How the Media Covered it: Outlets across the spectrum honed in on the “blank check” statement. The Hill categorized opposition to Ukraine support as “America First” ideology.

McCarthy warns no ‘blank check’ to Ukraine in GOP majority

As I said I am behind this attempt to make all accountable for this use of US foreign aid dollars.

The problem I see is that the defense industry owns most of our Congress so I do not see any progress being made on accountability.

Just my thoughts.

Do you have any to share?

That Hunter Biden Thing

With less than a month before the mid-terms and the perfect time to drop some dirt on candidates to provide a misdirection for the voter.

Walker in Georgia has his abortion thing and now the drop of news on the son of the president.

The team for Herschel Walker, the Georgia Republican and former NFL player running for a Senate seat, reportedly had quite some time to prepare for the news that broke Monday alleging Walker paid for an ex-girlfriend’s abortion. Sources tell Politico the team was made aware of the abortion issue, an allegation that is reportedly “well known” in Georgia, months ago, but that the team downplayed it in the hopes that it wouldn’t come out publicly prior to the November election. Top Georgia Republicans, however, reportedly warned Walker it could destroy his chances of being elected if it did.

One top GOP operative in the state who spoke to Politico says that Walker’s team downplayed, but, crucially, never actually denied the abortion story when discussing it and its potential ramifications. Walker, however, has publicly and vehemently denied the allegation since the story broke. Former President Trump, reaffirming his endorsement of Walker, said in a statement, “Herschel has properly denied the charges against him and I have no doubt he is correct.” On Tuesday, Sean Hannity made an odd comment on Fox News about Sen. Raphael Warnock, the incumbent Democrat in the Georgia race. “There is a family conflict with Herschel Walker that has been very public, which I think is sad for any family,” he told Newt Gingrich. “But there is also the same thing for Raphael Warnock.” He did not elaborate, and the Daily Beast reports it’s not clear what he meant.

This news about Hunter Biden should give the Right media a wealth of stories to drive home the news….

The news drop on Hunter Biden…..

Four years into the investigation, federal agents say they have assembled enough evidence to justify charging Hunter Biden with crimes. The evidence concerns tax crimes and a statement connected to the purchase of a gun, the Washington Post reports. The decision on whether to prosecute President Biden’s son falls to David Weiss, the US Attorney in Delaware, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump. Chris Clark, a lawyer for Hunter Biden, criticized investigators for leaking information, saying that it’s a crime and that the decision is up to prosecutors who are “thoroughly weighing not just evidence provided by agents, but also all the other witnesses in this case, including witnesses for the defense.”

Congressional Republicans have been pressuring the FBI in the case, saying political considerations are affecting its decisions, per CBS News. Investigations by the Justice Department often take years. Attorney General Merrick Garland has not pushed Weiss to hurry his decision, saying there will be no improper pressure brought. The federal investigation has been broad, with the tax portion of it centered on whether Hunter Biden did not declare income related to business operations.

Fascinating…..The Trump kids got scrutinized and now the Biden kid….

What a game they play.

Is that a smile I hear on the faces of GOPers?

Biden’s Broken Promises

I know it is early in Biden’s presidency….but he made so many promises to us voters and I think we need to look at his agenda so far…..

And Biden is NOT alone….most Dems in Congress are abandoning us mere peasants as they always do after the vote.

First it was the minimum wage. Then student loans. Then the $300 weekly unemployment benefit. Then ditching the God-awful Trump tax cuts for billionaires. There was also the public option. Biden sure was racking up a lot of things he wouldn’t fight for, and guess what they all share? They’re all things working people care about – vitally.

Biden and the Dems may figure they can abandon workers, because who will they turn to? Ignominious Trump? The would-be Republican Reich devoted to worker destruction? Not likely. But they could stay home during the mid-terms and, even more devastatingly for Dems, in 2024. Then we’ll have a one-party autocracy, as one twitter wag put it, with giant bronze statues of Trump everywhere. Remember: Obama’s betrayal of tens of millions of workers to bail out bankers ultimately gave us Trump. And that demagogue waits in the wings. Biden’s broken promises may just give him the opening he needs.

Blaming Joe “I Just Don’t Give a Shit” Manchin for Biden’s broken promises is lame. A president like LBJ would have beaten Manchin into shape within his first few weeks of office. LBJ’s DNC would have defunded the renegade senator tout de suite. Even more pathetic is Biden hiding behind the Senate parliamentarian. When confronted with decisions from this person that they didn’t like, GOP senators earlier in the century just fired him.

Biden could have instructed his party’s senators at least to overrule the parliamentarian, when that nobody ruled against including the minimum wage in the covid relief bill. The Dems could even – oh my goodness! – have removed her. But Biden, like most Dems, doesn’t know how to play hardball. That’s because he’s got one arm tied behind his back by his Wall Street donors. Only a few Dem senators don’t. They are the only ones who display any guts when it comes to looking out for the 50 to 60 percent of Americans struggling to pay their bills, as they straggle through each week on a dicey paycheck.

Biden’s Broken Promises Spell Hard Times Ahead

We vote for this betrayal every time….thinking ‘this time it will be different’ and it NEVER is.

And since things do not improve the sheep run to the next election and give the ‘other’ party the control….and things remain the same…..

When will ever learn?

Actually I could put the voter into the file of “Can’t Fix Stupid”!
