The US is facing many domestic problems….this country is more than capable of solving these problems it is just the leaders are not willing to do so……
Other countries have handled such problems as the thieving bankers, alt energy, drugs….just to mention a few……see how other countries are solving problems…..
The Presidential candidates have been sounding off for almost two years now, pointing out (or in many cases manufacturing) all of America’s problems, and offering solutions they believe will make them the next President. The candidates, especially to the right of the political spectrum, extoll America as being exceptional, and they score empty points with voters by talking about how the rest of the planet looks to the United States to solve the world’s woes. It is surprising, then, to see how many of these seemingly intractable problems are being far more effectively tackled by the countries we are supposed to be “leading”. Maybe it’s time for America to start looking elsewhere for innovative solutions.
Here are 10 examples of problems being solved everywhere but in America:

If these countries, which have less resources than the US, can do amazing things then why is the US slow to do so?
The citizens, all citizens, of this country deserve better from the clowns we elect……but will this election prove any different from the past ones?
Good one!
So is this….

I noticed that in the article you referenced Japan is overcoming some of their problems by working to make their children more self-sufficient. I think that is a grand and commendable thing. I am almost certain that Japanese kids are conscious of more that is going on around them than what they think they are seeing on an electronic device screen. America used to have an effective program to keep it’s kids self-sufficient but some bunch of bleeding hearts came along and destroyed that most effectual system. The name of the workable system that once kept American kids self-sufficient and out of trouble was “Child labor.” Since the Idle mind is the devil’s workshop I say, put the kids back to work and let them learn what life is all about at an early age.
They cannot do what you suggest…there is NO money for anything educational…..it must be spent on war not people….
Just an answer to the query at the end…. No.
gigoid, the dubious
I did read the article linked by you.
And reading it I was wondering why the Netherlands couldn’t be found in the list.
And now I do something the Dutch don’t like to do, boasting about themselves.
Drugs:
Since 1976 the Netherlands has what we call “gedoogbeleid” which means:
In the context of the law of the Netherlands, the term gedogen (toleration, although gedogen does not literally mean toleration.
Describe it best as toleration in law, but not in culture.) refers to not enforcing certain laws.
Is this policy perfect,no! Does it need some improvements, yes!
Still it is better than locking people up!
Treating those drug addicted not as criminals but more as a health issue.
Children going to school:
Walking and cycling to school is something Dutch children do.
Cycling often in a group, walking mostly alone or with a friend or familymember.
Many policy on different issues has it starting point here.
But still we get a lot of ***** from certain US media and politicians.
I know our way handeling certain issues is often misconcepted.
Many years ago when I was in Rotterdam I was amazed at the number of bicycles……I thought then that it was great to see so many people riding….I also was amazed at the education system I saw in Finland……the US needs to wake up to the rest of the world….chuq
