Upset Republican donors: Have we wasted our money?

Think about the 2016 election and all the cash that donors have thrown at the various GOP candidates….and boy is it a lot of cash…..

But what have they got for their huge investment?  Jeb is losing ground with every dollar he spends.  Rubio is just too pretty and not so perfect.  Paul is a resounding failure as a GOP candidate.  Christie is still there with mouth in overdrive but cannot find the go button.

What has all that cash done for them….it has given them Trump…..the one candidate that they ignored until it was too late.

What can these PACs do salvage their investments and investors in this election cycle?

They say they’re starting to look for ways to make super-PACs more effective.

Good luck to them….they had better find a solution to their campaign impotency…….3 weeks before the first starting pistol and then it may be too late……There is one thing they can see for sure this election…….so far it is NOT money well spent.

  1. Super PACS and SCOTUS legislating from the bench desiring to replace the congress with senile activism are layered charred scar tissue upon the accumulative national testicles and should be consigned to the incinerator of historical rememberance as soon as practically possible.

    1. I agree with the PACs thingy….SCOTUS is another story…we need them but we need neutral jurists not partisans hacks…..

      1. Oh I guess there are exceptions to the rule. LOL Me? I can be bought and I am proud of the fact that I got where I am by kissing the right kind of butt and at the right time.

      2. I was offered a job 20 yrs ago making high 5 figures for a think tank….I refused the offer because I will not start with a conclusion and make the info fit….

      3. For that kind of money I would have taken the job because …. I am a materialistic fool with no mores and no values and very little valid religion. I also lack a great deal in the arena of character. I would make a great politician if they would let me be a dictator. As it is, I have to settle for being a plain old d**k!

      4. My drawback is I refuse to compromise my integrity or what little honor I have….or I could be setting pretty in this retirement….

      5. As far as I can tell, the concept of “Integrity” totally eluded me when I learned that the old saying, “Honesty Is The Best Policy” turned out to be a lie. Just one of the many lies my teachers told to me when I was a kid.

  2. “Hello? – Is this GOP customer services? I paid up front for a Presidential candidate for the up coming election and um, I’m not sure what’;s gone wrong, but he hasn’t been delivered. I have not been out of the house so I didn’t miss the courier man.

There’s only 3 weeks to go. If you have run 0f stock of, can you please return my money so that I can buy a Senator instead?”

“what do you mean – non refundable?”

    1. Dear Bill — Perhaps the courier delivered your package to a neighbor with a similar street number or perhaps the delivery was accidentally thrown onto your roof or into your shrubbery. The reason your purchase price is unrefundable is because it is perishable.

  3. May as well just wave bye-bye to ALL the money spent in the election process, because, no matter who among the candidates ends up in the White House, Democrat OR Republican, it is still a waste of money, and time, for NONE of them has any interest in changing the status quo… Where’s the profit for them in that?….

    Hmph.

    gigoid, the dubious

      1. Aye, ’tis as I said… maintaining the status quo is where the profit lies….
Hmm… is that irony, or what? The profit lies in lies….

        gigoid

      2. Funny how that works…CEOs are the only competent nominees to run everything…..what a load of crap….huh? chuq

      1. As an aside, I know a few Republicans (some in my family), and I’ll be honest: I think some would like Mitt Romney back. Mitt recently said he’d like the GOP to raise the minimum wage.

Many in the GOP can’t stand what’s going on (all the mud-slinging, etc.)

I will keep an eye on Romney. I wonder if he would consider coming back…He could probably find donors and money.

        Just a thought…

      2. Interesting….I had thought he might try a run again but this anger is stifling if he does he will wait awhile and let the crap flow away…
