First Version of F-35s Won’t Outdo A-10 in Battlefield Capabilities | Military.com

This will mean little to anyone not familiar with a combat situation……bur READ IT anyway!

I have been a staunch supporter of the A-10, the Wart Hog, and opposed to the military retiring it in favor of some overpriced brick…….

The initial reports are that the A-10 replacement is too expensive and not nearly as effective as close support for our grunts…….

This report confirms what a piece of crap this plane is……I believe the grunts deserve only the best and the most effective close support ……….The F-35 are neither!

  1. One of my all-time favourite planes, the A-10. Gorgeous machine. The F-35, though, was never really designed to replace it, rather replace the role currently being fulfilled by the FA-18. In other words, the US Air Force was simply going to leave a giant hole in its capacity for ground interdiction. Madness.

    1. The ‘Hog could never be replaced …..it’s firepower alone is unmatchable……The F-35 in one version, not sure which, will have jump jet capability kinda like the Harrier….but it still cannot compare to the ‘Hog….I agree the ‘Hog is so ugly that it is beautiful…..
