My grandmother use to use this term liberally…..anything she did not agree with she would label “a deal with the devil”…..I have seen many deals through the years and some I would call deals with devils but this one that I found while surfing takes the prize….
Israel and Saudi Arabia have both made no bones about their opposition to diplomacy with Iran, but a new report from the Sunday Times is suggesting that the two have been plotting in secret to start a war shortly after the conclusion of a deal between Iran and the P5+1.
“Once the Geneva agreement is signed, the military option will be back on the table,” warned a diplomatic source familiar with the planning, which is said to include a joint Israeli-Saudi attack on Iran.
There have been other reports about the two nations plotting an alliance to attack Iran for months now, but never anything this specific, nor anything to suggest that such an attack may well be imminent.
Israel has long coveted access to Saudi airspace for any potential attack on Iran, though the Saudis have denied any plan to do so. The P5+1 will no doubt object to any attack that comes as a follow-up to their diplomacy, though both nations are apparently counting on their considerable lobbying powers to prevent the fallout from being too serious.
Its those damn Saudis again…….they buy billions in modern weaponry and yet they want someone else to do their fighting….they will even do a deal with the Israelis…..would that not be a conflict of interests? I mean they have supported the Palestinian cause for decades and now they will do a deal with the country that is giving the Palestinians the most grief…….apparently they have NO shame! What can you expect……in all the wars in the Middle East, the Saudis have begged off and were satisfied to let someone else fight and die for their cause….what would call that?
Could the US be brokering this deal behind the scenes? My guess is….YES!

Chuq…. I was going to comment here, but, I realized that I would have probably ranted for a good 1000 words or more, and don’t have that much energy left in me today…. I already put out a 3500 word post today… BUT…
I agree about the US power brokering going on in the M.E., especially where it concerns the Saudi’s, whom I hold at least partially responsible, along with Shrub, Senior, for the events of 9/11/01… The timing of that scenario always troubled me…. especially afterward, when NOBODY dared to say that it was possible that our own clandestine agencies had any part in the attacks… or, if not an active part, what kind of practical knowledge of it did they have, prior to its advent?…. Those questions were never asked, much less answered…. Also, who was it that told those Saudi princes to leave the country, the day before the attacks took place… might be interesting to find out, eh?….
Oops, I’m ranting, aren’t I?… Ah well, you’re right, amigo, we (the USA) is heavily involved in everything that takes place in that part of the world… I mean, our corporate masters aren’t going to allow any stop to the flow of oil, or the transfer of money, or the arms sales that keep them from having to worry about mundane subjects such as whether the Saudis and the Israelis are getting together to pursue a commonly held goal…. The only question in my mind is, how much will they try to hide?… It appears, of late, that they’re becoming much more bold about letting people see some of their machinations, not seeming to care, since no one can actually DO anything to stop them….

No need to apologize my friend…I appreciate your input……as a student of international relations I see the invisible hand of the US in a lot of the situations in the Middle East, especially…..you know we could do something about this….the problem as I see it…Americans do not have the spine for change….we are happy with some lame reforms….nothing will change until we step up and take the bull by the cajones….
