Where, Oh Where Are The Jobs?

I know, I know I am being redundant….but apparently I have to be to get the point across to the American voter…..you listened to their crap….you voted for their crap….and now you are letting them get away with their brand of crap…..what are you people thinking?

The economy sucks!  The threat of a governmental shut down looms.  Abortion and marriage are the key issues in the first couple of months of the session…..Marriage?  Yep, marriage!

The Republican-led House of Representatives is likely to defend the Defense of Marriage Act in federal court, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Calif.) said in a newly-published interview. The move would come in the wake of the decision by the Obama administration to no longer defend the law.

The decision prompted both those in favor and those opposed to the law to call on Congress to make the next move. Liberals are calling for Congress to fully repeal the law — Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is introducing legislation to do so — while conservatives want Congress to intervene in court and defend the law.

The early statements by many prominent Republicans following the administration’s DOMA decision were muted, prompting questions over whether opposition to gay marriage had faded as an issue for the GOP base. However, Boehner told CBN that House members have been discussing their options and will make a decision on how to proceed by the end of the week.

OK, the conservs are all a tither about marriage and the definition of said…..where does that deal with jobs?  You know those silly little things that the Right uses for elections but could care little about afterwords……you would think that an economy that is FAR from recovered that the major concern of ANY politician would be the creation of jobs, especially when the “real” unemployment is running close to 15%…..but nope!  You elected officials are spending all their time at work (which is every other week and then usually only 4 days of that week) trying to kill a law, define marriage and so many others….NONE of which is doing you or your neighbor any good what so ever…….

You voted for these nitwits and only YOU can change things….but it will NOT get done while you sit on your butt or stare into your smart phone……PERIOD!

  1. I agree 100% with that (how about THAT for something of a shock, eh?).

However (that is NOT a “but”), I would like to point out/add the following:

It is NEVER about jobs and it was never going to be! That’s just window dressing at election time and we both know that it was not something ANY of them gave a sh*t about.

Even if they were true to their word (which would be the most startling “first” of the century so far), it takes years – even decades – rather than a few months, to turn an economy round from the parlous state they’ve got it into – assuming they wanted to, which, as I said, they don’t!

Most of the politicians or would-be politicians in ALL the available parties think they are something superior and assume they should tell the world how to live (don’t do as I do, do as I tell you). Therefore they simply HAVE to interfere with ordinary people’s lives on subjects that are NONE of their f*cking business – and THAT is about ALL they do – endlessly.

But then, as I always say – THAT’S what the system dictates will happen…

    1. Of course, I agree with you….that politicians are basically liars and such….my main point is to get the people to think about their lousy choices….I knwo it may be a fools errand but I HAVE to try……

      1. I understand, but what should the voters DO, even if they do listen to you? The Dems are no better than the Repubs. So, what is the answer?

      2. Geez…..you really want me to say? LOL OK, take matters in their own hands and make things RIGHT…….

      3. Easy to say, harder to do and near impossible for there to be any improvement – like I’ve said many times – swap one set of assholes for another and little else changes.

      4. Sad but true….but the old hippie inme still thinks that a real change can happen….but it takes the people and not a vote……

      5. That’s very true – although the people demanding change may be a start, but the fact is that you have to be lucky enough to have exactly the right charismatic, brilliant and altruistic leader available at exactly the right time who is ready to take over when the dust has settled – THAT, my friend, is a VERY tall order and unlikely to happen – so maybe better the devil you know than the devil you don’t, eh?

      6. The problem is that the people will NOT carry it through to the finish…they will get side tracked with some moron and a slogan….
