American People Are Idiots! (They Can Be)

Tough talk, huh?  I apologize if this hurts your feelings or you are offended….but the statement stands!    I will explain why I say this…..and then maybe you could possibly understand that statement….unfortunately if they show the same mental deficiency they do as they vote…then I may be yelling at a wall….

We have for decades (and by we I mean the American voter as a whole)  voted on lies and misinformation and each time when the deception is exposed we just shut our minds to the idiocy of our ways and continue to be ignorant…….

Last election the American voter swept in a whole new bunch of liars….on the promises of an improving economy, most especially jobs…..after two months. ……name ONE bill offered that would possibly create a job……(pause here for the scratch of head and ass)…..you CANNOT!

AS an example, my state recently voted out a Rep that was given a 90% voting rating on middle class issues and voted into office a Repub that was kept away from interviews by his own campaign manager because he would make Nevada’s Sharron Angle look like a Mensa candidate…..but the voters bought all the crap about Dems and Pelosi stuff got rid of a guy that was actually voting WITH his constituency and their concerns and interests……how is that for idiocy?

Instead we have assaults on health care, abortion, unions, planned parenthood, NPR and the list goes on and on….all the work that is being done in Washington has absolutely NOTHING to do with jobs…..just the agenda they set decades ago and refuse to stray from the failed policies……..where are the jobs bills?

Then there is the threat of a government shut-down….where if the Dems and prez do not see it the way the Repubs want them to see it…then they will shut-down the government until their ideas are adopted or when there is a compromise in the Repubs favor……where would this create a job?  Just what part of a shut down would be beneficial to the economy?

Then we go to the states….all the hoopla over the attacks on unions (perceived or not) the threat by governors is to start laying off workers…..now….what part of that sounds like a job creating proposal?

The Americans people are idiots!  I repeat my original statement…..they voted for Repubs overwhelmingly because they were under the false assumption that they would improve the economy and thus would improve the livelihood of the American public…….each time Americans vote they prove my premise….they vote for lies and then they set about bitching about their public officials…..that is the height of stupidity……..what is even more stupid is that they will not look for an alternative…..they like being able to whine and blame the officials for their plight

So now I ask Americans…..are you pleased with the jobs being created….NO?  Tough crap!  You voted for these jerk wads now stop whining and live with your decisions….embrace your stupidity!  Take responsibility for the condition of the country and the a/holes that YOU elected…….

BTW, where are the jobs?

Say It Ain’t So!

First of all, the title is sarcasm!  We can only hope that somewhere a microbe of intelligence is sneaking back into the American political psyche….

For years I have been one of those who does NOT see any use for Glenn Beck….his delusional conspiracies and a search for a boogey man behind anything that is not radically right….has lowered the IQ of the American voter by 100 points…..he has NO political use other then dumbing down the electorate….

But there is a minor glimmer of hope for a return to political sanity on the horizon…..as reported by the UK’s Guardian:

what sounds like a dream come true: Fox News is considering parting company with Glenn Beck, the rococo conspiracy theorist who inspires those on the swivel-eyed right and infuriates anyone to their left.According to the New York Times’s media correspondent David Carr, unnamed Fox News executives are said to be “contemplating life without Mr Beck” when the conservative shock jock’s contract ends in December.

There may be a simpler reason, or two in fact, behind Fox News’s apparent case of cold feet. One is that Beck’s dense conspiracy theorising makes for terrible television. While it had a novelty value at first – Beck’s act has only been on Fox News for two years – it is far more intellectually demanding than anything similar on cable news. He rarely has guests and often appears before a blackboard covered in charts and arrows. In many respects Beck’s hectoring resembles not much more than a tedious Open University lecture from the 1970s, but without the kipper ties. Another word for the format: dull. Hence the inevitable loss of viewers.

The other simple explanation is that Fox News can afford to play hardball because it has a ready-made replacement on hand: former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs, a host with a similar appeal to Beck but with none of the downsides. Dobbs is conveniently parked on the Fox Business channel, and can easily switch places.

Will FOX and Beck really split the sheets?  But Dobbs as a possible replacement….well we would go from terrorist causing all the problems to Hispanics being the boogey man in the closet…..so either way dullards would still have their boogey men……

Is It Despotism?

College of Political Knowledge

Subject:  Politics/ Political Theory

I recently wrote a post on the vi0lence and the crack down on intellectuals in Iraq by Pres. Maliki…..after I re-read the post I got to thinking about just what is a despot and if I may have mis-spoken when I called Maliki a despot…..in my usual way I have made more mental torture for myself…..I will try to explain what despotism is and then relate it to Maliki and my post……

A Despot?  In today’s terms that would any leader that does not hold with our ideals of democracy and equality and justice….in the classic period a despot rules a country that had no parliament, no opposition, no free press, no protection of private property and a powerless public….today’s despot gives the appearance of a free press, a legislative branch and opposition is allowed but seldom is allowed to be in opposition but with the threat of death or confinement…..we can call it autocratic, authoritarian, totalitarian or even a dictatorship…and finally the whims of the “leader” is paramount and executed with vigor……

With all that said…I need to reexamine my accusation of Maliki as a despot……I do not know for sure about private property in Iraq…..but the arresting of the opposition to his government and policies is despotic….yes Iraq has an elected parliament…but what is their power?  Look at Iran…elections and still despotic……

In my mind…the elimination or the attempt to eliminate a vocal opposition makes Mr. Maliki a despot…..if not a total despot…he is working on consolidating power to his whim….all in all…I was correct in my saying that he is a despot…..

Now that I have justified my accusation I would like to give my reader another perspective….it goes along with the whole despot theme……Let us look at religious extremism…..in this case AQ……

Back in my college days I recall a discussion on despotism and some of its results…….under a despot, locals have a tendency to search for personal release through spirituality…..despots can turn the powerless majority to a religious experience that then takes over their lives and they turn to religion as the only thing that makes their existence seem tolerable……with that said…think about AQ…..it originated in the Middle East, Saudi to be exact and their kings have been despots from the beginning……despots made AQ …just look at the countries that it has a presence…..Algeria–despot, Egypt–despot, Afghanistan–despot…..Yemen–despot……no need to continue….you get what I am saying…..is it possible with a little democracy in these countries that AQ could lose its appeal?  Powerless people would NOT need such outlets as AQ?  Just a thought.
