I have been unkind towards Boehner in the past….but after years of watching this guy…from the days when he wept on the floor of the House onward until today….nothing in that time has shown me that this man cares about anything but himself….I love politics and try to instill some of that passion in my readers….at least I hope they will think about their choices more rationally than they have in the past….

  1. Yes, good post and good links. Really, it’s what I keep on about, though few seem to care.

Personally, I think the very first and most vital quality any prospective politician needs to to be an out and out selfish assh*le. If he or she is not that, they ain’t gonna make it, are they?

That’s hardly their fault, though, is it? We design a system that virtually guarantees that only this sort of person will become involved and then we bitch when we end up with what we pretty much set ourselves up to get in the first place.

It really is pretty damn silly of us all and I’m thinking more and more that I’m pretty damn sick of banging my head against this massive metaphorical brick wall…

    Still, what the heck… eh?

    1. Well said my friend…….but that is part of being the “elite”…selfishness….I mean there is not many in the US Congress that is NOT a millionaire and yet they speak for the working class……that is all but laughable.

You need to get a Styrofoam wall painted like bricks…it is not as painful….lol

      1. Yes. I had already seen it, but it’s very slick and smart and probably very accurate by the sound of it.

      2. At last the Dems have decided to play ball in a campaign…instead of expecting the people to understand complex ideas they boiled it down to the vid…..very clever

      3. That is the sad part…….slogans and emotional crap has replaced real political activity (oh crap! That will make a helluva post….watch for it) sad that is the only way to get most Americans attention….

      4. Yes… in a way. On the other hand, anything that is that smart and uses humour to encourage ordinary people to see through the veil of shit and be cynical about these people and this process has in my view to be a step in the right direction.

In some ways, too, it’s simply using the language of the people, which is good – what’s the point of talking to English speakers in Greek, or solely Greek speakers in English?

      5. So true……..I mean the American voter uses opinion more than knowledge in their voting…then this should be effective….
