Old Farts And Sex

Us old farts are being blamed for a lot of things from the death of Medicare to the spreading of STDs……

OLDER people should be just as responsible as teenagers when it comes to safe sex, according to sexual health advisors at Great Western Hospital.

While sexually transmitted infections are most rife among 16 to 24-year-olds, middle-aged people are also being told to use protection when they have sex.

Dr Sophie Forsyth, GWH’s consultant in gyno-urinary medicine, said menopausal women should remember that while pregnancy may no longer be an issue, condoms were still essential.

Dr Forsyth added that while younger people who are aware of the risks may continue irresponsible behaviour, older people may be catching STIs because they were not as well informed.

Apparently we are getting laid more than people would think….to the point that we are at a high risk of catching and spreading STDs.

Government Of Perverts?

In the past I was a staunch critic of the last administration, I my way of thinking they did many things ass backwards, but this story takes the cake.

From March 2002 to March 2003, the federal government paid more than a thousand 15- to 17-year-olds $40 each to answer questions about their sex lives, including intimate questions about specific sexual acts, whether they had ever engaged in homosexual acts, whether they had used contraception, and what sorts of discussions they had had with their parents about sex.

According to questionnaires published by the CDC in a public document available on the government agency’s Web site (“Plan of Operation of Cycle 6 of the National Survey of Family Growth”), young teens were systematically asked graphic and personal questions about their sexual behavior out of earshot or the presence of their parents.

Teens were asked about a list of heterosexual sex acts, including oral sex.

The list of sex practices can be found in the survey questionnaires listed in the CDC Cycle Six planning document, which explicitly lays out how the 2002 survey was designed and carried out.

Teens 15 to 17, for instance, were questioned about their sexual orientation and whether they have ever had a sexually transmitted disease (STDs).

Did they ask the parents for their permission?  Was there an advocate present to advise the kids on the answers?  Or was this just a way to get off at work?
