Turkish In a Box

Have I not seen this in the cartoons…or maybe it was the 3 Stooges…..Laurel and Hardy…Somewhere…..

A manhunt is under way in western Germany for a convicted drug dealer who escaped by mailing himself out of jail.

The 42-year-old Turkish citizen – who was serving a seven-year sentence – had been making stationery with other prisoners destined for the shops.

At the end of his shift, the inmate climbed into a cardboard box and was taken out of prison by express courier. His whereabouts are still unknown.

The chief warden of the jail told the BBC this was an embarrassing incident.

The prison authorities in Willich, near Duesseldorf, said the man, who was tall and broad-shouldered, had hidden in a box that was about 150cm by 120cm

When the weekly express courier arrived to pick up several boxes of merchandise, the one containing the prisoner was also loaded into the back of the lorry.

Shortly after it had passed through the prison gates, the inmate made his dash for freedom by cutting a big hole in the tarpaulin of the lorry and jumping off.

Church And Sex

A lot has been said about evangelicans and their views on sex and stuff……you have come a long way baby….

Beginning next weekend, Fellowship Church, a Dallas based mega church with over 20,000 people in attendance, continues a controversial teaching seminar called “Leaving Lust Vegas” that skates the razor-thin line between lust, sex, marriage and family.

And now Pastor Ed Young heightens the controversy with an unprecedented challenge to married couples: Have Seven Days of Sex beginning Nov. 16.

Young is best known for his creative teaching style, dynamic leadership methods and no-holds-barred approach to topics that relate to today such as money, relationships, politics and sex.

“We want married people to see their bedroom for what it is – a magnet of stability, something that draws them away from the dangerous pull of lust that derails so many couples. We want couples to intentionally walk, even run, toward the marriage bed and away from sin city,” said Young. “By experiencing a sexual relationship the way God intended it, we hope couples will begin to see things with greater clarity. I often say, ‘so goes marriage, so goes the family. And ultimately, so goes our decisions and choices in this uncertain world.’ I know it is radical, but it’s all about building stronger marriages.”

Weight And Sex

Researchers in the US found that women who were overweight were more likely to report ever having sexual intercourse with a man, but apart from that women’s sexual behavior did not vary by body mass index.

The study was by researchers at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii, and other research centres in the US and is published in the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology.

The researchers looked at the links between body mass index and a number of sexual behavior measures, including orientation, age at first intercourse, ever having had sex with a male partner, the number of partners and frequency of intercourse. The sexual behavior was categorized by body mass index (BMI) groups: Normal (under 25 kg/m2), overweight (25 to 30 mg/m2) and obese (over 30 kg/m2).

The results showed that:

  • BMI was not significantly linked to sexual orientation, age at first intercourse, frequency of heterosexual intercourse, and the number of lifetime or current male partners.
  • Overweight and obese women were more likely to report ever having had sexual intercourse with a male partner (p under 0.001).
  • 92 per cent of overweight women reported ever having had sexual intercourse with a male partner compared with 87 per cent of women of normal BMI.
  • This figure was unaffected by adjustments for age and type of residence.

The authors concluded that:

“With the exception of ever engaging in sexual intercourse with a man, sexual behavior differs little between women of different body mass indices.”

Fear No Pleasure

If you’ve never heard of “cake parties,” think harnesses are just for horses and can’t really discuss the merits of silicone versus rubber, then chances are you’re not “sex positive.”

Being sex positive doesn’t mean that you’re positive you want to have sex — it means you have what is perceived as a healthy attitude toward your sexuality.

You might be vanilla in your straight, bisexual, homosexual or transgender sex life without polyamorous, open or fetishistic complications. But you at least know a thing or two about these things, aren’t afraid to talk about them, and you definitely know what you like.

This quieter, more educated version of the sexual revolution isn’t a phenomenon born on the couch of a therapist or at the counter of a sex shop — it’s also a pop culture phenomenon. Think of prim ‘n’ proper Charlotte on “Sex in the City” becoming addicted to her vibrator (and her friend Samantha, the Energizer Bunny of Manhattan’s sex scene). Or MTV fave Missy Elliott and fringe, post-feminist rapper Peaches, who rap about female sexual fulfillment as a right.

And the acceptance of porn — at least certain types of it — seems to be a part of this sex-positive thing — or so we heard when we attended a workshop at Toys in Babeland last month. The sessions, held at the Capitol Hill store, generally fill up fast, with tickets going for about $30 a class. On the night we attended, there was a full house — about 30 students, mostly female, with six or seven males. We’ll skip the details, but say this much: The two instructors were funny, personable, well informed and approachable. Action and apparatus were discussed without being gratuitously crude or clinical. It’s a fine line, you understand.
