All this talk these days about extremist groups…they have been all over the news for several years now…….not just in the US nope even Pakistan is having a problem with extremist groups (go figure)….and the US has told Pakistan that it needs to ban such groups…..

The US has urged Pakistan to immediately enact a legislation that formally ban extremist religious groups, a media report said on Thursday.

The US’ suggestion on Wednesday followed a decision announced last week for ending a ban on Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed’s Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and the Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF), which Washington designates as terrorist groups, the Dawn report said.

The Pakistani media late last month had reported that the two outfits, that manage a large charity network with the help of thousands of volunteers, temporarily came off the list of banned outfits in Islamabad because the ordinance that proscribed them under a UN resolution had lapsed.

The Imran Khan government is working on a proposal to extend the ban.

Does anyone have an example of extreme arrogance?

Yep the US telling Pakistan to ban extremist groups…..and yet allows  the same types free rein in our government…..true the the Constitution protects these groups but telling another country what to do is just arrogant.

But then I am sure that it is different in some way…..I am just having a hard time finding the difference.

The Left Shall Rise Again!

Since the last election there has been a new wild swing of young Americans looking into the “Left” of days gone by….

Social media seems to be the meeting place for these “newcomers”……

For example, The Women’s Marches that made national headlines all over the country in January were organized by one woman on Facebook and according to a University of Maryland study cited by CNN, 70% of people who attended the march in Washington heard about the event on Facebook.

It does this old radical’s heart good to see the interests in Left politics…..some further reading on this phenom……

I feel this is a good thing….because that would give us a truly accurate political system….as it is now we have a one party system with slightly different views on issues…..there is NO opposition other than the silly theatrics of our Congress.

Closing Thought–10Apr17

These days I am not posting much on domestic situations…the world is getting close to the ignition stage and there is just too much happening for me to ignore….after all that is what I was trained to do…..ANALYZE.

But I will post from time to time on stuff that is out of my field…..

I have had several op-eds posted in Ace News Room….I try to “Press” them here so that others can read them that may not be regulars over at Ace.

It is no secret that I am a bit radical…in my younger days I was a hardcore radical…but I have mellowed a bit with age….but the concerns and desires are still there…..

First op-ed is a small look into my younger days of rebellion…..

Personally, I think that is a capital idea for a title for an RKO feature film….right? (I knew I could get a movie reference in if I just tried)…but I am sure that if we let the major studios film it it would be along the lines of “Reefer Madness“.

Radicalization Continues

We hear about this group or that group that is becoming more and more radicalized…..Muslims and even some say the African-Americans…..but there is one group that is seldom mentioned in all these conversations and accusations…….whites.

I read an interesting take on this issue……

A while back ago I spoke in great pain on how I’m losing friends fighting racism.  I talked about how one can have friends (white) who will invite you (black person) to a Christmas dinner, but will engage in vehicular manslaughter when it comes to Black Lives Matter protesters.  What I didn’t really discuss was this radicalization process among the white community in America which makes such violent ideas possible.

Radicalization?  You probably never really took a look at it. You’re probably wondering what am I talking about.  Radicalization?  What radicalization?

For about a year Boko Haram ran rough shod over the Nigeria Army…..in the north of the country Boko has had its way…..that is until recently.

The Nigerian Army has found a way to take on Boko and win.  They, the Army, has made great strives by recuing about 300 girls and women that had been taken by Boko in the past…..plus Boko seems to be on the run from the onslaught of the Nigerian Army……..

The question now is……what lit the fire under the Nigerian Army to have such successes……..and the answer is…….
