The Donny/BiBi Peace Plan

Yesterday the two biggest liars on the international stage met and after a love fest they came up with a peace plan for Gaza….

President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday they’ve agreed to a plan to end the war in Gaza, but it’s unclear whether Hamas will accept the terms.

  • Trump laid out a 20-point plan on Monday for ending the Israel-Hamas war and establishing a postwar governance in the war-battered Palestinian territory. Trump’s plan states that Gaza would be governed by a committee made up of “qualified Palestinians and international experts, with oversight and supervision by a new international transitional body.” The “Board of Peace” would be headed by Trump, “with other members and heads of State to be announced,” including Tony Blair. The full text of the plan can be seen here.
  • The plan does not require people to leave Gaza and calls for the war to end immediately if both sides accept it, the AP reports. It also calls for all remaining hostages to be released within 72 hours of Israel accepting the plan.
  • “Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza,” the plan states. It says the US will work with Arab nations and other partners to create an International Stabilization Force. The plan says as the ISF “establishes control and stability” in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces “will withdraw based on standards, milestones, and time frames linked to demilitarization that will be agreed upon between the IDF, ISF. the guarantors, and the United States.”
  • The proposal states that after hostages are freed, “Hamas members who commit to peaceful co-existence and to decommission their weapons will be given amnesty,” CNBC reports. “Members of Hamas who wish to leave Gaza will be provided safe passage to receiving countries.”
  • Trump said Israel would have the “full backing” of the United States to take steps to defeat Hamas if it doesn’t accept the proposed peace deal. “I think we are beyond very close,” Trump said at the start of a news conference with Netanyahu where he detailed the plan. “We’re not quite finished. We have to get Hamas.” Netanyahu said, “If Hamas rejects your plan, Mr. President, or if they supposedly accept it and then do everything to counter it, then Israel will finish the job by itself. This can be done the easy way or it can be done the hard way, but it will be done.”
  • The plan states that a panel of experts will create a “Trump economic development plan to rebuild and energize Gaza.” It says the “new” Gaza “will be fully committed to building a prosperous economy and to peaceful coexistence with their neighbors.”
  • The New York Times notes that the plan “seems to tread delicately” around some of the more contentious subjects, remaining vague on issues including Palestinian statehood and the role of the Palestinian Authority. It states that after PA reforms are carried out, “the conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood.”
  • Trump and Netanyahu did not take questions at the news conference. That could be a “reflection of the fact that many specifics still need to be figured out before answering queries about what is an extremely complicated plan where many things could potentially go wrong,” notes Bernd Debusmann Jr. at the BBC. Earlier Monday, Netahyahu called Qatar from the White House to apologize for the Israeli airstrike on the country earlier this month.
  • A Hamas official said the group was briefed on the plan but has yet to receive an official offer from Egyptian and Qatari mediators. The group has repeatedly rejected laying down arms and has linked its weapons to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Blair?  Why this tool?

Some high flying conditions…..but little emphasis on the starvation of Palestinians.

Recognition of Palestinian statehood…..what crap-!  BiBi and his thugs in government have made it clear that there will be NO Palestinian state.

https://original.antiwar.com/cook/2025/09/29/recognition-of-palestine-is-a-repeat-of-the-wests-oslo-peace-fraud/

IDF remains and some vague peace accord that was a fraud decades ago and is a fraud today.

A great deal promises given by the two biggest liars today….this will not fly for Israel will always use the excuse of self-defense to commit more atrocities.

BiBi’s words are so much crap as they have always been.

Netanyahu’s speech at the UN was packed with rhetorical tricks and gimmicks: waving signs, a childish quiz, a publicity stunt about broadcasting the speech to phones in Gaza, speaking in Hebrew – supposedly to the hostages – and more. But it was also full of white lies, half-truths, and outright falsehoods.

There is no way that Israel will hold to any thing they agree to because they have never lived up to any agreement….there will always be someone that wants to destroy Israel and that is the excuse they will use to destroy and maim.

Interesting but we will see how far this will go.

Side Note:  BiBi has apologized to Qatar….

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a rare apology. During his visit to the White House to meet with President Trump on Monday, Netanyahu called his counterpart in Qatar to apologize for Israel’s airstrike in that country earlier this month, reports Reuters. The call to Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al suggests a deal might be in the offing, notes Axios: Qatar had demanded an apology before it agreed to resume its role as a mediator between Israel and Hamas.

Disingenuous Bullshit!

Will This End The War?

On the campaign trail Trump promised that he would end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia and now we have a ‘leaked’ Trump plan to do just that….

Now this is a ‘leaked’ peace proposal from the Trump side and has not been authenticated…..but for the sake of argument I post it….

The Ukrainian news outlet Strana has published leaked details of President Trump’s alleged plan to end the war in Ukraine in 100 days.

According to Newsweek, which said it couldn’t verify if the details were accurate, the plan starts with holding a phone call between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in late January or early February, followed by meetings with both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in February or March.

The leaked plan calls for a ceasefire to be declared by Easter, which falls on April 20. The truce would involve Ukraine withdrawing troops from Russia’s Kursk Oblast.

Once the ceasefire comes into effect, a peace conference will begin hammering out the details of a lasting agreement. The plan calls for a deal to be reached by May 9.

Once the details of the agreement are released, Ukraine will be instructed to end martial law and mobilization. That would mean Zelensky could lose power since his presidential term expired in May 2024, and he used martial law as the justification for not holding new elections. The plan would require allowing parties who oppose continuing the war with Russia to run for office.

Some of the proposed ideas under the plan for a Russia-Ukraine peace deal include barring Ukraine from joining NATO, an agreement for Ukraine to join the EU by 2030, and the EU facilitating Ukraine’s construction. Ukraine would also be able to keep its military and continue receiving military aid from the US, which could be a non-starter for Moscow.

The proposal would also require Ukraine to cede the territory Russia has captured. Ukraine would have to “refuse military and diplomatic attempts to return the occupied territories” and “officially recognize the sovereignty of the Russian Federation over them.”

Zelensky’s office has denied that the peace plan is authentic, although other media reports have said that Trump tasked his envoy to the conflict, Keith Kellog, with ending the war within the first 100 days of the Trump administration. If the plan is legitimate, leaking it could have been an attempt to sabotage it from moving forward.

Trump has said he wants to speak with Putin, but the Kremlin said on Monday that it hasn’t heard anything from the US about setting up a potential call.

Is this a way to end this thing?

If accurate I do not see this actually working as the conflict stands today……do you?

On a side note:  I agree that Biden should have to tell is what the Ukraine war was all about….

It is no longer easy to tell what the Ukraine War was for. Very early on, U.S. goals got grafted onto Ukrainian goals, and the hybrid braid became hard to disentangle. “This is a war that is in many ways… bigger than Ukraine,” the State Department announced in the first weeks of the war. But, whatever those goals, few of them remain: There will be no NATO membership for Ukraine, there will be no recovery of all of its territory, and there will be no weakening of Russia.

Former President Joe Biden has a lot of explaining to do, as does Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Zelensky will need to explain to his exhausted nation why choosing the path of war over the path of diplomacy after the Istanbul talks in March and April of 2022 was worth the cost. At that time, what still seemed to be the Ukrainian goals—continued sovereignty and the withdrawal of Russian troops to pre-war boundaries—might have been met. Zelensky must explain why he succumbed to Western pressure to pursue wider ones.

He is going to have to explain why pursuing those wider goals was worth the loss of so much life, limb and land. And, if he is to survive politically and, perhaps, even physically, he is going to have to find someone to blame.

Biden Must Explain What the Ukraine War Was For

Probably got ever going to happen but those idiots in Congress have investigated many lame things….why not one more?

Hey! Ukraine!

Ukraine? You remember them….that was the war before everyone got their panties in a wad over the Middle East (yet again)…..remember?

I read a story that made me shake my head….it seems that Ukraine and Russia could have avoided all the death and destruction in the early days of the conflict…..

David Arakhamia, a high-ranking member of Volodymyr Zelensky’s Servant of the People political party, said that Kyiv could have ended the war with Russia after a month if it agreed not to join NATO. The official said that Moscow was not concerned about other issues, such as “denazification,” but only wanted Kyiv to agree to neutrality.

In an interview with TV channel 1+1, a Ukrainian network, Arakhamia confirmed previous reporting that Moscow and Kyiv had nearly agreed to end the war in March 2022. Still, Ukraine’s Western backers pushed it to try to win the war against Russia. “They really hoped almost to the last moment that they would force us to sign such an agreement so that we would take neutrality,” Arakhamia  said.” It was the most important thing for them. They were prepared to end the war if we agreed to – as Finland once did – neutrality, and committed that we would not join NATO.”

Arakhamia, who led the Ukrainian negotiation team, said that other issues, such as the protection of ethnic Russians in Ukraine and the “denazification” of the government in Kyiv, were less important to Moscow. “In fact, [neutrality] was the key point.” He continued, “Everything else was simply rhetoric and political ‘seasoning’ about denazification, the Russian-speaking population and blah-blah-blah.”

The high-ranking official explained that Kyiv was unlikely to accept Putin’s offer during the talks in Istanbul because the Ukrainian leadership did not believe Russia could be trusted. However, he went on to say that then-UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson cemented Kyiv on the path of fighting a long war with Russia. “[The deal] could only be done if there were security guarantees. We could not sign something, step away, everyone would relax there, and then they would [invade] even more prepared – because they have, in fact, gone in unprepared for such a resistance, Arakhamia said. “Moreover, when we returned from Istanbul, Boris Johnson came to Kyiv and said that we would not sign anything with them at all, and let’s just fight.”

Arakhamia explained that while Kyiv’s Western backers did not discourage talks, they advised against accepting a deal. “They actually advised us not to go into ephemeral security guarantees, which could not have been given at that time at all,” he stated during the interview.

The statements in the interview by Arakhamia confirm several reports from other officials – Russian, Turkish, and American – that a deal was offered by the Kremlin in the early days of the war to withdraw Russian forces to the prewar lines in exchange for Kyiv’s vow to never join NATO.

Now, after 20 months of war, Ukraine’s Western backers are discussing Kyiv’s opening dialogue with Moscow. Since the talks in the early months of the conflict, Russia has annexed four regions of Ukraine, suggesting Moscow is likely to demand more territorial concessions than what was once on the table for Kyiv.

Seems semi reasonable that neutrality would be a demand….but that was not to be.

Why?

I have my opinion as you have yours.

But unlike most people I look at both sides of the situation…..

Sad that whoever or whatever prevented the ‘war’ could not be agreed upon for whatever reason….I am sure the dead and injured would have been a lot happier if it had been.

Then there is all this money being wasted on this conflict….and apparently I am not alone….

As lawmakers in Washington weigh sending billions more in federal support to Kyiv to help fight off Russian aggression, close to half of the U.S. public thinks the country is spending too much on aid to Ukraine, according to polling from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

Those sentiments, driven primarily by Republicans, help explain the hardening opposition among conservative GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill who are rebuffing efforts from President Joe Biden to approve a new tranche of Ukraine aid, arguing that the money would be better spent for domestic priorities.

Yet opposition to aid is down slightly from where it was a month ago in another AP-NORC poll. Now, 45% say the U.S. government is spending too much on aid to Ukraine in the war against Russia, compared with 52% in October. That shift appears to come mostly from Republicans: 59% now say too much is spent on Ukraine aid, but that’s down from 69% in October.

I agree but then I think we are wasted or spending too  much on Israel and Taiwan.

NO country, I do not give a crap who they are, should get an open ended free ride at the expense of the US citizenry.  NO COUNTRY!

Yet Another Peace Plan

The Ukraine-Russia conflict has seen several peace proposals from countries around the globe….from Brazil, China, Turkey, et al and now a new proposal will be presented to both sides….this time African nations will do the presenting.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have agreed to host a delegation of African leaders to discuss a potential peace plan for the conflict in Ukraine.

“My discussions with the two leaders demonstrated that they are both ready to receive the African leaders and to have discussion on how this conflict can be brought to an end,” Ramaphosa said, according to DW. “Whether that will succeed or not is going to depend on the discussions that will be held.”

On top of Ramaphosa, the leaders of Senegal, Uganda, Egypt, the Republic of the Congo, and Zambia also support the plan. Ramaphosa did not give a timeline on when the visits to Moscow and Kyiv might happen.

The news of the African-led peace push comes as China has dispatched a senior envoy to visit Ukraine, Russia, and other countries in the region in an effort to foster dialogue. Li Hui, China’s special representative for Eurasian affairs, was expected to arrive in Ukraine on Tuesday.

The US has not been happy with South Africa’s neutrality in the Ukraine conflict and recently accused Pretoria of aiding Russia. The US ambassador to South Africa claimed without evidence that a Russian ship that recently docked in the country was loaded with arms.

According to Ramaphosa, the US and Britain have expressed “cautious” support for the African-led peace push. The New York Times reported last week that US officials are “wary of any calls for an immediate ceasefire or peace talks.”

(antiwar.com)

The plan is supported by the leaders of South Africa, Senegal, Uganda, Egypt, the Republic of the Congo, and Zambia.

Specifics are slim at this draft….but I will be watching and writing as soon as more info is available.

Somewhere sanity must prevail and a plan be formulated that will end the carnage in Ukraine.
