A Con Will Always Be A Con!

There is always someone that is willing to con the American people….Nigeria is full of them….we also have a bunch of home grown con artists at our disposal…..like the instant weight loss pills or the free anything that costs you money like a phone jack….you get the picture…..

After years of demonizing Latinos, both legal and illegal, Lou Dobbs will try to improve his image…..why?…..since leaving CNN he has been feeling the waters out for a possible run for Congress in the future…..as reported on CNN::

Mr. Dobbs, who left the network last week, has said in recent days that he is considering a third-party run for a New Jersey Senate seat in 2012, or possibly for president. Polls show voters unhappy with both parties, and strategists believe Mr. Dobbs could tap populist anger over economy issues just as Ross Perot did in the 1990s.

First, though, Mr. Dobbs is working to repair what a spokesman conceded is a glaring flaw: His reputation for antipathy toward Latino immigrants. In a little-noticed interview Friday, Mr. Dobbs told Spanish-language network Telemundo he now supports a plan to legalize millions of undocumented workers, a stance he long lambasted as an unfair “amnesty.”

Mr. Dobbs couldn’t be reached Tuesday. Spokesman Bob Dilenschneider said Mr. Dobbs draws a distinction between illegal immigrants who have committed crimes since arriving in the U.S. and those who are “living upright, positive and constructive lives” who should be “integrated” into society. He said Mr. Dobbs recognizes the political importance of Latinos and is “smoothing the water and clearing the air.”

After a career as a broadcaster and Internet entrepreneur, Mr. Dobbs turned himself into a populist firebrand, campaigning against labor outsourcing, free trade and immigration.

People……a con is a con…..if he really actually changes his tone it will be a momentary lull until he can get his foot in the Washington circus and then he will return to his Beck-esque BS…it is a CON…..and nothing but a CON!

America’s Loudest Xenophobe

That would be Lou Dobbs, former CNN anchor, in case there was a moment of doubt, recently announced his departure from CNN and the brand that he helped build, at least according to him.

I have heard a lot of rumbling about his departure in the last week or so…..everyone seems to have an opinion on what and why he left is employment.

The AP is reporting:

“Not at all,” he said in a weekend interview. “I don’t know if people will believe it, but we had a very amicable parting on the best of terms. I spent 29 years there building that company, and I wish everyone there nothing but the best, and they have reciprocated with me.”

It’s hard to know whether the abruptness or the lack of rancor surrounding the exit was more noteworthy. Dobbs’ outspokenness had made him a political target — so much so that there were parties celebrating the departure over the weekend — and an uncomfortable contradiction to what CNN says it wants to be.

Dobbs said he plans to take time deciding what he wants to do, beyond his daily radio show. He promised to reach out to groups who criticized him, most prominently because he advocated stern measures to halt illegal immigration. A petition campaign seeking his ouster took root in recent months after Dobbs gave attention on his show to questions about President Barack Obama’s place of birth.

So I guess that ends the story…it was all so amicable for both sides….right?

Apparently the parting of the ways between the Xenophobic host of Lou Dobbs Tonight and CNN was not so amicable after all. The New York Post is reporting today, citing an unnamed source, that Dobbs walked away with a $8 million severance package, after completing just half of his $12 million contract.

Since Klein and Dobbs have been enemies for awhile now….so it was a profitable move for both parties….Dobbs makes his cash and CNN rids itself of a xenophobe that breathes hate at every turn….maybe this will help CNN return to its place as a leader in cable news….(I doubt it, but it is a thought)….

2009 Anal-Ocity

When will the right wing whackos give this crap a rest?  I mean rthere are people that state the most anal BS around and then there are those that pretend to be the voice of people that cannot help themselves.

When talking about whether Obama is a citizen or not he said in response to a right wing dipstick:

Lou Dobbs had David from Freeport, N.Y., on the line, the caller musing darkly about President Obama “rushing all these programs through by whatever means,” knowing he will soon be exposed as a fake, a fraud, a . . . Kenyan.

At that point, a scrupulous radio host had three options: (A) hit the kill button (B) laugh and hit the kill button or (C) offer some push-back against the fantastical notion that Barack Obama was born on foreign soil and thus serves — illegally — as the Oval Office’s first resident alien.

Instead, Dobbs chose the maximum complicity-minimum integrity route, or (D): “Certainly your view can’t be discounted,” the host said.

Hopefully CNN will do the right thing and put this a/hole on the carpet for being a moron.  He is not doing the public a favor he is feeding the extreme right all for the ratings game.

Why Does Lou Dobbs Hate?

Remember the days gone by, during the height of the immigration debate and the rants and the raves of CNN’s chief immigrant basher, Lou Dobbs.  Well apparently, the immigration debate is a bit slow so he thought he would spice it up a bit.

While bitching about St. Patrick’s Day on his radio show Dobbs said:

“And by the way, I’ve got to wish to you, each and every one, Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! I do that, and I have to be honest with you, despite my fervent anti-ethnic holiday position. That’s right! I’m against St. Patrick’s Day. I’m against St. Columbus Day. Saint Joseph’s Day. I’m against all of those things. Is there, by the way, is there a Jewish, a Jewish ethnic holiday? Is there one? No? Okay. The Jews have disappointed me. I mean, is there a St. Mauritius? No? A Belize? I don’t know. We gotta have — there’s gotta be something else going on here! How about an Asian ethnic holiday? Is there one? You know, a Saint Jin Tao Wow? Chinese New Year? All right, we can do that … I mean, what is with all of these ethnic holidays? I mean how about an American Day? How about were all the same kind of day?”

An American Day?  Lou,  how about the 4th of July?  If I had to guess I would say that Dobbs is a WASP that has a really hard time with people with skin tones other than white.
