Is Beck On Vacation?

It looks like Glenn Beck of FOX News will be absent from the airwaves for a week….the story is he will be on vacation….or did he get time off for bad behavior?

In a report by the AP:

Glenn Beck returns to Fox News Channel on Monday after a vacation with fewer companies willing to advertise on his show than when he left, part of the fallout from calling President Barack Obama a racist.A total of 33 Fox advertisers, including Wal-Mart Stores Inc., CVS Caremark, Clorox and Sprint, directed that their commercials not air on Beck’s show, according to the companies and ColorofChange.org, a group that promotes political action among blacks and launched a campaign to get advertisers to abandon him. That’s more than a dozen more than were identified a week ago.

Will this put an end to unwarranted and vile attacks?  Nope, just more fuel for the fire.

On the website examiner.com there is a different tale being passed around.

The recent and, until now, successful advertiser boycott initiated against Glenn Beck by the radical group Color of Change, appears to be backfiring on the left wing group and its supporters.  Grass roots support coming from diehard fans defending the patriotic radio/TV personality and constitutional watchdog seems to be growing in an exponential fashion.An extemporaneous, nationwide movement is rapidly taking shape to support Beck.  Facebook groups, Web sites, home-grown e-mail blasts, viral marketing and individual telephone call list campaigns have appeared in record numbers supporting Beck.

With a voice that reaches nearly as many as Rush Limbaugh, Beck has increasingly become a target for progressive, liberal, socialist and green groups who disagree with the talk-show host’s opinions and the information he presents – information that most other talk-show hosts are afraid to touch.

Beck’s dissemination of critical information has cut deep into wrong doing, lies and inconsistencies in the Bush White House and continues today with his “pulling aside of the veil” that hides falsehoods and corruption in the Obama administration.  In a world of Change, where union workers and community organization group members are used as rent-a-mobs to stop dissent and discourse, it’s no surprise that the White House has a vested interest in silencing Mr. Beck – enter Van Jones.

Hopefully, Beck’s employers will stick it out with him instead of cowering to the progressive boycott, only time will tell.  But for now, we get to see one in a long line of examples of how actions produced by left-think quite often create a result contradictory to its intent.

Once again we go back to what will you believe?

A Teleprompter?

Much has been said about the president’s use of a teleprompter, most of it criticism, but really guys, is that a necessary story that needs so much attention?

I mean what about the rise in violence in Afghanistan, or the next round of Americans to be deployed to Afghanistan or the IMF saying that the economic situation could lead to many conflicts and possibly war or the KBR got a contract to unscrew their shower screw up in Iraq, on and on……

I believe I can find lots to write about and the teleprompter would not be anywhere on the list, until I see all the crap being reported.  Something has to be said.  You have got talking heads saying just how unnecessary it is, but they are working off a teleprompter.  I have watch some commentators on FOX and MSNBC, to mention only a few, that have turn this into something it is not…..a story and news.

Personally, I find this whole thing a bit unprofessional, petty and extremely pathetic.  And these people are the ones that bitch the loudest about bloggers…sorry, had to chuckle just a bit.

Oh, The Hypocrisy

Do any of you remember when Obama was not doing enough to come up with ideas to save the economy?  And now he is doing too much?

The best part though is that most of the media pundits keep being  opposed to the Obama approach to the economy by looking to the future, say 10-20-30 years down the road and what it will mean to our country.

What crap!  And I seriously mean CRAP!

Where were these hair brained, thick lipped dick brains decades ago when tax cuts and de-regulation was putting out country into the situation it is in now?  Just where were these forward looking a/holes then?

No one gave two shakes in hell about the children and grand children of the future then.  It was always about the instant gratification of the minute, never what it would mean to the future.  Something the American stupidity has always strived for, instant gratification and then blame whoever was handy when it went to hell.

In 2006, David Walker of the Bush Admin said, “The ship of state is on a disastrous course, and will founder on the reefs of economic disaster if nothing is done to correct it.”  And his words went mostly ignored.

The media instead of helping the viewer understand what all these policies and programs will do to effect him, they are focusing on whether the president smiles too much, frowns too much, is too pessimistic, or too optimistic or where he spends his time or what sport he likes, none of which has anything to do with the economy.

Maybe the public would be best served if the media would report the news and stop trying to invent the news….at least the interest of the people would be better erved, but I guess that is not in the corporation that owns the news best interests.  So as usual the facts are pushed to the back of the bus for some sensationalism.

What crap!  And these people accuse bloggers of being unprofessional…..

Another FOX News Moron Speaks

Apparently CNN came to their senses that is why Glenn Beck is now regurgitating his made up news for the home of made up news–FOX.

But stupidity can only go so far and in this case he may well be on his way to an “Assie” award.

During the January 30 broadcast of his Fox News program, Glenn Beck falsely suggested that the Obama administration has named a program it is reportedly planning to establish to purchase toxic assets from private banks the “Bad Asset Repository Fund — BARF.” Beck later stated: “When you got a group of people that can’t figure out the acronym bill would be BARF, I think maybe we should change the name. Don’t you think that, really, we should stop listening to these people?” Beck offered no source for his statement, but on-screen text accompanying that segment read: “FORBES: ‘BAD BANK’ = BARF; BAD ASSET REPOSITORY FUND.” But the January 29 Forbes.com article that referenced the acronym BARF did not attribute it to the Obama administration, as Beck suggested. In fact, in the article — titled “Here Comes the BARF” — reporter Liz Moyer specifically noted that “[t]hey haven’t named it yet” before going on to write that it “would be truth in advertising” to call “a federal ‘bad bank’ to soak up toxic assets the Bad Asset Repository Fund.”

But Beck went on and on about how the guys in the Obama Admin should “get it”.

Maybe these guys should try to remember that this is the decade of “gotcha” media, that whatever they say can and will come back and bite a big chunk out of their collective asses.

What Are “They” Afraid Of?

By now, everyone has heard that Caroline Kennedy is after Clinton’s senate seat.  We have been bombarded with all the pros and the cons, depending on what side of the political spectrum you sit.  But the question that needs to be asked is, What are they really afraid of?

Is it the name?  Is it her lack of political savvy? Just what is it?

My opinion is that she is not a political animal that the others are.  They are all spilling their guts about her political dues have not been paid.  Please!

Political dues?  She is not a “professional” politician and that means that she would most likely not be controllable by the party.  And take a good hard look at your country.  Are you happy with the shape it is in, politically as well as economically?  If not then you may thank all those so called “professional” politicians.

The media is as full of crap as the politicians.  They, the media, are worried about access and stuff, when they should be asking her about policies she would work on.  The media is aiding the “Pros” in their attacks on Kennedy.  It looks like the old “you scratch my back, I will scratch yours” type of thing.

The truth is if she is appointed she will probably be a better representative of the people of New York than any of the “Pros” with their hands in the pockets of lobbyists.

If she is an independent rep then she would be a breath of fresh air in Washingtonm.  God knowes does not look like it will come from the Obama team.

Why Do They Keep Injecting Race?

The media that is.

As the Obama team rolls out their picks for the various position the media reports on it by stated that “She will be the first African-American to hold the position”  Or that he will be the first African-American in the AG’s office.  Or…well you get the idea……

This past election has proven that most Americans have moved past the race thing, but somehow the media has to keep injecting it into the conversation.  Why?

I realize that the media thinks at most of us mortals are ignorant dolts,  but I do not think that most of us need their unsolicited help.  We are a visually aided society and I think that most Americans can determine what a persons ethnic origins are.  Well, I guess there are some that will need assistence in this area, but most of us can do it all by ourselves.

May I suggest that it is time to let that crap go.  Time to move on and report the news and stop the commentaries.

I do not usually comment on the crap from LaLa Land but from time to time there are just a few times that I cannot resist.

I guess if one must be addicted, then this is the one to choose.

X Files” star David Duchovny’s announcement that was he was in rehab for sex addiction sparked a lot of rumors. One of them was that he’d been caught having an affair with his tennis instructor (a woman) and that he was undergoing rehab to save his marriage.

A conversation with Duchovny’s friend that this has something to do with an addiction to pornography, probably on the Internet. It’s the sex equivalent of a gambling addiction, where the person is just hopelessly trapped in chat rooms.

Now for the most dumb.

THE extent of troubled pop star Amy Winehouse’s drug use has been finally revealed and it is feared she has suffered brain damage.

“She is in need of years of psychiatry and medical treatment if she has a hope,” a friend said.

“The future is bleak, bleak, bleak.”

The details of Winehouse’s drug use was reported in The Sun newspaper in the United Kingdom.

Her first overdose in August last year was from a cocktail of cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, ketamine and crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as ice).

Brain Damage?  Ya Think!
