Project 2025–What Has It Done So Far?

We start a new year, a year where a person put a radical political agenda into force, Project 2025…..but in that year how has the plan made out?

In the months leading up to his election, President Donald Trump insisted that he had nothing to do with the far-right vision for his second administration known as Project 2025, a Christian-nationalist blueprint to remake the federal government. As the year draws to a close, a crowd-sourced effort, as well as trackers from advocacy organizations and labor unions, show that his administration has implemented roughly half of the goals laid out in the document’s 920 pages.

Project 2025 is rooted in injecting narrower interpretations of gender, sexuality and race in federal policy. It calls for ending nearly all of the U.S. government’s efforts to achieve equity, including the collection of data that could be used to track such outcomes across the public and private sectors.

It suggested eliminating diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs. It also recommended removing out of every rule and regulation terms like sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender equity and gender awareness, along with abortion, reproductive health and reproductive rights.

The blueprint also suggested transforming the FBI into a politically motivated entity, abolishing the Department of Education and dismantling the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA).

The White House has made progress on all these fronts — through a series of executive orders and also politically motivated hirings, firings and restructurings that have fundamentally expanded the president’s influence and power across all branches of government.

There is a saying in Washington, D.C., that personnel is policy: the people put in charge of implementing key policies shape their ideologies. Russell Vought, one of Project 2025’s key architects, heads Trump’s Office of Management and Budget, which he has likened to the “nerve center” through which a president can exert their influence across the federal government. Peter Navarro, who wrote Project 2025’s section on trade, is a top trade adviser to Trump. Brendan Carr, who wrote a section suggesting reforms to the Federal Communications Commission, is now in charge of the agency.

Here are some specifics on parts of Project 2025 that have been implemented and how they could impact women and LGBTQ+ Americans:

How much of Project 2025 has actually been accomplished this year?

I would say for someone who did not know what the plan entailed has done a damn good job of destroying everything the Heritage Foundation wanted destroyed.

Keep in mind Donny is not through yet….more attempts to come I am sure.

The Phoenix Declaration

Right about here most people are asking….HUH?

This is that group of a/holes from the Heritage Foundation on our education system….

Florida is the first state to embrace the manure from these ‘people’…..

Florida education leaders on Thursday approved a set of principles that would teach a conservative-backed vision of the United States. The State Board of Education, which also approved social-studies changes intended to highlight ideological evils of communism, signed off on Florida becoming the first state to adopt the Heritage Foundation’s “Phoenix Declaration: An American Vision for Education.”

The declaration is a statement of principles described as fostering “a love of country,” teaching children to “seek the good, true and beautiful” and aiming for students to “achieve their full, God-given potential.” Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas said the declaration establishes an “affiliation” with the Heritage Foundation and promotes what the board supports rather than what it opposes. “We often call out what is problematic in education, pushing an ideology over indoctrination, whether that’s the instruction of sexual orientation and gender identity in elementary schools or divisive concepts like critical race theory and DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) that treats people differently based on the way God created them,” Kamoutsas said. “Well, this talks about what we want to see. We want to see parents empowered. We want to see curriculum, transparency, we want to see academic excellence in all of our students.” The Washington, D.C.-based Heritage Foundation has a stated mission of building and promoting conservative public policies. Critics addressing the education board Thursday described the Heritage Foundation declaration as promoting indoctrination.

It is bad enough that these dicks have fucked up our political system and now they have a plan to do the same with the education of our children.

My favorite part of the whole debacle is there statement…..“We often call out what is problematic in education, pushing an ideology over indoctrination”

Now what is the difference between instruction and indoctrination?

How long before the other Red States embrace the crap these people are pushing?

It is true that the education system needs an overhaul but nothing these idiots are proposing will make it better…..if anything it will feed the bigotry and ignorance they say they want to eliminate.

How’s The ‘Master Plan’ Doing?

The ‘master plan’ of which I speak is that playbook from the Heritage Foundation, Project 2025, if you remember Donny did not know anything about this during the campaign (I blatant lie).

So far the plans in this 900 page memo is being put into place piece by piece….but how is it working out so far?

The former head of Project 2025 believes an “unchained” President Donald Trump has made immense progress during the first 100 days of his second term toward undoing liberal gains dating back to Franklin D. Roosevelt.

But Paul Dans — who led the effort to produce a detailed conservative transition plan and policy blueprint that was at the center of last year’s presidential election — believes the president needs an influx of new attorneys to fight for his policies in court. Those battles, Dans told NBC News, will shape the next 100 days.

“If Roosevelt had the New Deal, this is what I would think of as Trump’s real deal,” Dans said. “This is deconstructing the administrative state and walking back a lot of this progressive architecture that had been built up by FDR.”

“What’s coming next is really a squaring off with the courts,” Dans said, adding, “This is going to reach, certainly, a boiling point, and so look to that getting resolved.”

The blueprint ultimately foreshadowed plenty of what Trump has enacted or attempted once in power. An independent tracker found that the administration has completed or taken action on roughly 40% of the material in Project 2025’s blueprint. That includes everything from cutting research grants to universities to readying cuts for climate research, stripping some immigrants of Temporary Protected Status, and an all-out assault on diversity programs in government.

With that in the foreground as Trump hits the 100-day mark, Dans spoke with NBC News in a pair of interviews in recent days. He doesn’t believe measuring Trump’s actions against Project 2025’s plan “is really accurate,” adding, “these are, to be sure, President Trump’s own policies, many of which were embodied in Project 2025.”

“It’s with great excitement that I read what’s going on every day and see a new step that they’re taking,” Dans said. “But to be sure, this has to get implemented. At this point, a lot of the executive orders and the like are policy pronouncements, and the real rubber is going to meet the road when it comes to implementing all these directives.”

So far so good and plenty more to come.

This country, if ever, may not rebound from the damage these people are doing to its foundation.

All I can say at this point is….you were warned and you did not seem to care….so any damage this ‘plan’ is doing to you and your family then you brought it on yourself….I hope you are happy.

The Hack Of Heritage

First the mundane…..my visit with the doctors went well….everything okay just had to take on some new meds….Sue’s chemo dragged her out today but than that she is responding well the doctor tells us….a slow day on IST….I guess not many care what the day held for me and Sue.

It is midnight and it is 90 degrees…oh the joys of Summer in the South.

While I was surfing waiting for my doctor to call me into the inner sanctum I found a story that made me smile….

By now most people interested in the direction of this country have been exposed to the far Right crap flowing out of the Heritage Foundation, Project 2025……

Most of us that have read the ‘plan’ see it for what it is an authoritarian garb for the government and democracy….

As we say in the Souths “bless their hearts”…..I am talking about the hackers that busted into the Heritage website and lifted a bunch of info.

It looks like hacktivists have joined the fight to shine a light on Project 2025, the far-right blueprint for reshaping the government to achieve ultraconservative goals if Donald Trump is elected president in November.

Google searches for “Project 2025” have skyrocketed in recent weeks, likely due in part to celebrities, including Taraji P. Henson at the BET Awards last month, drawing attention to the extremist plan. A group of hackers has joined the effort to pull back the curtain on Project 2025.

On Tuesday, the cybersecurity news outlet CyberScoop reported that a collective comprised of self-described “gay furry hackers” that calls itself SiegedSec gained access to Heritage Foundation data. Specifically, the collective said it gained access to a website hosting content produced by members of the Heritage Foundation, the organization that assembled Project 2025 with the help of several members of Trump’s former administration.

Per CyberScoop:

Self-described “gay furry hackers,” SiegedSec said it released the data in response to Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, a set of proposals that aim to give Donald Trump a set of ready-made policies to implement if he wins this fall’s election. Its authors describe it as an initiative “to lay the groundwork for a White House more friendly to the right.” The data, reviewed by CyberScoop, includes Heritage Foundation blogs and material related to The Daily Signal, a right-wing media site affiliated with Heritage. The data was created between 2007 and November 2022. The group says it gained access to the data on July 2 and released it to provide “transparency to the public regarding who exactly is supporting heritage (sic),” a spokesperson for the group who goes by the online handle “vio” told CyberScoop in an online chat Tuesday.

A SiegedSec spokesperson who goes by “vio” told CyberScoop that the data the group accessed includes “full names, email addresses, passwords, and usernames” of people associated with Heritage. But a Heritage spokesperson denied that the organization was “hacked,” telling CyberScoop that “an organized group stumbled upon a two-year-old archive of The Daily Signal website that was available on a public-facing website owned by a contractor.”

Nonetheless, Heritage folks don’t sound happy about this data dump. The Daily Dot shared excerpts of angry text messages sent from Mike Howell — a former Trump administration official and the executive director of the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project — to vio. Howell confirmed the authenticity of the texts to The Daily Dot via X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

There are even reports that Project 2025 had help from China…..let me repeat that…..Heritage had help from China on the workings of Project 2025….plus rumblings that they may be fudging with the IRS…..we will see.

I am sure more info will drop and soon but for now the Dems have been handed some ammo against the Right and their ‘plan’ to destroy our national government…..so I will be watching and waiting for the rest of the story.

I say kudos to those that did this….2 thumbs up.

Stay tuned….more to come….
