Yes Irene…Another Train Wreck

As my loyal readers know, I seldom tackle gossip….but there are times that need to be addressed and this is one of those times…..

Can you remember the days of yore when we had the meltdowns of the likes of Paris, Lindsey, Britany?

You remember the shaving of the head and the antics of K-Fed and the string of child mishaps that befell our young Britany Spears the breaking news daily of her numerous digressions….a train wreck!

And then there is Paris (the broad not the city) who only claim to fame is her last name……and the Hilton name does not care the same weight it use to…but there is still a pile of cash and then her sex tape that had the web abuzz and her trials and jail time, all 10 minutes of it……a train wreck!

And then there is the most recent idiot…Lindsey Lohan….who could not give up her booze and drugs long enough to make a judge happy…..then her idiot mother and douche bag father that does not help her in anyway….a train wreck!

But who could be the next one waiting in the wings for her chance at “stardom”?

Well, about 4 years ago I predicted it would be little miss Miley that would be the next “great train wreck”……I said that because of her ways of dress, her disturbing pics with her father and her general look and attitude….but I did qualify it by saying that after her 18th birthday would be the starting point…..

And 5 days after her 18th and she had this much fun…..

http://bit.ly/iidpLT Now you tell me….whatcha think?  Train Wreck!

More Normal Than Abnormal

There is youtube which has been replaced by facebook….then we have flickr and twitter and ……..anyway a wealth of sites where we can be famous at least for a short time….we can see our vids and fotos and words and…….we can have our instant gratification…we buy zit cream to give us the perfect skin or dye for that perfect blonde color….and with that comes bigger tits….firmer ass and a vacuum of the gut….

Then we go to the gym and do pilates and jazzercise and lift VWs….or we buy home dildos to work every portion of our body or we buy a pill that promises 6 pack abs…..we buy special shoes when worn will give you the perfect ass…..and it goes on and on…..to the point that we are a narcissistic society…..a society of self-center turds……

Back in the day that was called…..

Narcissistic personality disorder, characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance and the need for constant attention, has been eliminated from the upcoming manual of mental disorders, which psychiatrists use to diagnose mental illness.

Yes…if you suffered with this disorder….then you were mentally ill……but in today’s world all that has changed….But wait!

As Charles Zanor reports in today’s Science Times, the fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders — due out in 2013 and known as D.S.M.-5 — has eliminated five of the 10 personality disorders that are listed in the current edition. The best known of these is narcissistic personality disorder.

So what once was abnormal is now normal…….what a great day for society……justification for self-absorb little turds!

Only In America……

From the VOMITORIUM

We Americans think we are the most unique individuals in the entire world…..a bit arrogant and self centered, but I think they have a point……let me explain….

Only in America…..

Would we allow liars to become the pillars of society

Would we allow major decisions to be made on false information…..

Would we consider allowing hate and bigotry to replace tolerance….

Would we consider fear a better choice than common sense…….

Would we prize inaction over action…….

With all that said I still cannot understand the fascination of the American people on anything royal…..

We hold our breath at the announcement of Prince whats-his-name and Lady Kate (?)……

Or the offer of a replica of the Princess Di ring that the Prince gave to his lady….it is a fake sapphire, fake diamonds and fake silver setting and will sell for $40 plus S&H……and it will become an instant best buy…..

All that is just plain silly…but there is something that is just extremely scary……

undergarments purportedly belonging to Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II are now being auctioned off by a man in Florida, sparking a trend for selling celebrity knickers.

Globetrotting Miami bon vivant “Baron” Joseph de Bicske Dobronyi – or Sepy, as he was known – reportedly snagged the royal bloomers off a friend after they were left on a private plane when the Queen visited Chile in 1968, celebrity website TMZ.com reported…

It seems that some of Queen Victoria’s drawer brought about $9,000 at auction……

Just how f*cking sick are you people?

2010 Anal-Ocity Award Nominees

It is that time again…..we at Info Ink have spent lots of hours trying to find the 10 most anal statements made during the course of 2010…it was not easy they all were so flipping anal, but we finally came up with the top 10……which we revised to the top 8 and then a gain to the top 5….they are listed below and I ask all my readers to pick the one that they feel is the most anal…the “Assie” award is given to the person or thing that is the most anal……before the list is presented I would like to recap the past winners for you……

2009 winner was Sarah Palin and her statement after resignation as Gov. of Alaska……”I am a fighter….not a quitter”

2008 winner was Sen.  John McCain when he was talking about Russia’s invasion of Georgia…”In the 21st century nations do not invade other nations”……this from a guy that supported the invasion of Iraq…..

2007 winner was Paris Hilton, when she replied after her sentencing to jail….”It’s not fair!”

There are the past winners…and who will join the list of Assie winners for 2010?

The 5 nominees for the year are………

1–NATO envoy Mark Sedwell when commenting on violence in Kabul, Afghanistan

“children are probably safer here than they would be in London, New York, or Glasgow or many other cities.”

2–Columnists David Broder when writing about chance of re-election…..

Here is where Obama is likely to prevail. With strong Republican support in Congress for challenging Iran’s ambition to become a nuclear power, he can spend much of 2011 and 2012 orchestrating a showdown with the mullahs. This will help him politically because the opposition party will be urging him on. And as tensions rise and we accelerate preparations for war, the economy will improve.

3–GOP state senator of South Carolina when talking about the election of governor Nikki Haley

“We already got one raghead in the White House, we don’t need a raghead in the governor’s mansion,”

4–Former GOP Rep, Duncan Hunter of California when talking about children born in the US to immigrants….

“Would you support deportation of natural-born American citizens that are the children of illegal aliens,” Hunter was asked. “I would have to, yes,” Hunter said. “… We simply cannot afford what we’re doing right now,” he said. “… It takes more than just walking across the border to become an American citizen. It’s what’s in our souls. …”

5–A Muslim cleric in Iran when talking about the increase in earthquake activity….

“Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society which increases earthquakes,”

There they are the 5 that we consider the most anal statements of the past year……please take your time and read over the nominees and vote for the one that you feel is the most anal…..

Thanx for your time and assistance…….your participation is greatly appreciated…..

Kids Say The Darnedest Things

No….not the Art Linkletter show from days gone by…in case you are old enough to remember Art and his TV show……this case I am talking about the Palin kids, Bristol and Willow…….

Bristol Palin posted a brief apology on Facebook late Tuesday after 16-year-old sis Willow used anti-gay slurs (captured in screen shots by TMZ) to attack a classmate who criticized the family’s TLC reality show. “Haha your [sic] so gay,” wrote Willow. “Sorry that you guys are all jealous of my families [sic] success and you guys aren’t goin to go anywhere with your lives.” Bristol also weighed into the debate, but later had a change of heart: “Willow and I shouldn’t have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize.

“Haha your so gay. I have no idea who you are, But what I’ve seen pictures of, your disgusting … My sister has a kid and is still hot.” She followed that up with another comment that read, “Tre stfu. Your such a f—–.”

First, with all the news about kids being bullied and committing suicide you would think that Mommy would have had a talk with the children that she uses as campaign props….maybe not…..second, do they each spelling and proper usage of the English language in Alaska….maybe Willow is home schooled so she does not have to mingle with her inferiors…..

A Typical Response

It seems to be a trend in American culture….that it is NOT my fault….always someone else’s,,,,the economy is a good example…..fingers were pointed in every direction….same with the Gulf Oil spill….NO one wants to take the responsibility for their actions…normal people are just as bad as the “Fat Cats”……

Read this and see what I am talking about…..

The part that got to me was that the driver had to flee the scene because people were attacking him…..think about that for a minute…..it was his fault that Drunken MORONS were standing about 10 feet from where he had to come out of the turn…..and it is somehow his fault that people got hurt when he lost control…..that about it?

This is why I dislike most people….few “man up” to their f*ck ups….

Government In My Life

I have never wanted the government to tell me that I could smoke or not.  Or read porn or not.  Or be gay or not.  Or anything that involved my private life.  What I do in my private life is absolutely none of their business.  If I am hurting NO one but myself…then leave me the hell alone!

But now the government has gone a bit far…even for those a/holes!

The federal government is funding a $5 million national media campaign that launches this month, extolling the virtues of marriage for those ages 18 to 30.

Research suggests a bevy of benefits for those who marry, including better health, greater wealth and more happiness for the couple, and improved well-being for children.

Some say the government has no business using tax dollars to promote marriage. But others say the campaign is just like those conducted by other federal agencies to encourage the use of seat belts and discourage drug use, smoking and drunken driving.

With ads on social networking sites Facebook and MySpace, videos on YouTube, spots on radio talk shows, ads in magazines and public transportation and a new website (TwoOfUs.org), creators say the aim is to start a national conversation about marriage.

Resource center project director Mary Myrick of Oklahoma City says the media campaign has a budget of $1.25 million a year for four years; the campaign is part of the federal Healthy Marriage Initiative, a Bush administration effort under the Administration for Children & Families.

In 2005, Congress allocated $750 million over five years to the marriage initiative, with $100 million a year for marriage-related programs and $50 million a year supporting fatherhood programs. Of those dollars, the resource center is receiving $2 million each year over five years. The media campaign money is an additional annual allocation, according to HHS.

Now, the government will be spending my tax money to tell people the benefits of getting married, is that about it?  They are going to be persuading people that marriage is the only way to live life?  They are going to tell people that marriage the only acceptable way to fit into society, right?

Am I the only one that thinks that this is just so much crap?

Must Women Have Litters?

Eight kids at once. The mind boggles. The mind is also pretty creeped out by the thought of one tiny baby after another coming out of a woman as if she were a mouse.

It’s basic energetics. Every individual has only so much energy. Some energy is spent staying alive – that is, finding food and not being somebody else’s food – and what’s left over can be spent on reproduction. In other words, there are limits to reproduction.

Of course, the various slices of that reproductive energy pie also vary between males and female of all species. Males don’t gestate or lactate so they pass on the most genes by flitting from female to female making as many babies as they can, and then walking away. The female reproductive pie is much more complex. There are costs to pregnancy, lactation for mammals, and then whatever else is needed to bring a kid up to sexual maturity so they can pass on genes as well.

But there are all sorts of ways, from an evolutionary point of view, for females of a species to distribute that energy and bring up babies successfully. She might have as many babies as she can in one shot, litters that is, and have them as often as possible. For that kind of female, reproduction is an assembly line of cheap production per kid. Or a female might opt for the other end of the scale and make one baby at a time and wait for a very long time to see if that one investment pays off.

Take a look at a naked woman and see for yourself how many babies a woman is designed to care for – two, at most.

Boomers Choose Suicide

The U.S. suicide rate is up for the first time in a decade, and it’s rising most among middle-aged white men and women, a new study finds.

The researchers don’t know why, but say we need to find out more so new prevention plans can be put in place.

Suicide claimed 32,637 lives in 2005, a rate of 11 per 100,000 people. The study, released this week, featured an analysis of data from 1999 to 2005.

The rate increased 0.7 percent per year during that period. But when you break it down, the rate rose 2.7 percent annually among middle-aged white men and 3.9 percent among middle-aged white women. By contrast, suicide in blacks decreased significantly and remained stable among Asians and Native Americans, the researchers said.

Speculation for why the increase is occurring has ranged from increased drug use among Baby Boomers, who are known to be unhappy compared to other generations, to abuse of prescription drugs to changes among women in the use of hormone replacement therapy coincident with a 2002 report that found it potentially harmful. But the researchers say it is not clear if any of these factors are to blame.

Among white men and women, suicide has historically been less common in middle age. But by 2005, the 45-49 age group, for both sexes, had a higher rate than those age 40 and those age 70-74.

“Historically, suicide prevention programs have focused on groups considered to be at highest risk — teens and young adults of both genders as well as elderly white men, Baker said. “This research tells us we need to refocus our resources to develop prevention programs for men and women in their middle years.”

Suicide by hanging or suffocation increased 6.3 percent a year among men and 2.3 percent among women. Hanging/suffocation accounted for 22 percent of all suicides by 2005, surpassing poisoning at 18 percent. Firearms represent the main method — about double the rate of any other — but have been on the decline.

The Working Poor

A report released Tuesday by the Working Poor Families Project reveals that more than 28 percent of American families with one or both parents employed are living in poverty.

The report, “Still Working Hard, Still Falling Short,” is based on data for the period from 2004 through 2006 gathered from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the US Census Bureau’s American Community Survey and the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey.

The report finds that 9.6 million households can be described as low-income or “working poor”—defined as families that earn less than 200 percent of the official poverty level. There were 350,000 more such families in 2006 than in 2002. More than 21 million children now live in low-income working families—an increase of 800,000 in four years.

The report documents the sharp decline in living standards for wide layers of the working class, the result of decades of corporate downsizing and wage-cutting presided over by Democratic and well as Republican administrations. It shows that poverty-level jobs are increasingly common and are held by broad sections of the population. Contrary to certain stereotypes promoted by the media, the majority of families living on poverty wages are neither immigrants, minorities or families with a single parent.

The report notes that working poor families “lack the earnings necessary to meet their basic needs—a struggle exacerbated by soaring prices for food, gas, health and education.” About 60 percent of low-income working families are forced to spend more than one-third of their income on housing, and nearly 40 percent lack health insurance for one or both parents.

These figures seem to go up every year, but few notice, unless you are unfortunate enough to be in the multitude of the working poor.
