Could The Winds Of Change Happen Today?

Today there a few elections that could point to what will happen next year in the midterms…..will we see a break in this silliness of Donny?

This is a breakdown of what we can expect with these votes….

Another Election Day has arrived in America, the first major one in President Trump’s second term. Some of the big races that readers of political tea leaves will be watching:

  • New York City mayor: Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani, the front-runner, is trying to fend off former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who is running as an independent. Trump dislikes Mamdani so much he has endorsed Cuomo over Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa, How Mamdani fares—including his margin of victory, should he win—could have big repercussions for other progressive politicians in the US, reports the New York Times.
  • New Jersey governor: Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherrill has a narrow lead in the polls over former GOP state Rep. Jack Ciattarelli. A CNN analysis sees this as perhaps the night’s most telling race in regard to Trump because Sherrill has put him front and center. “He’ll do whatever Trump tells him to do,” she says of her opponent, “and I will fight anybody to work for you.” Ciattarelli, meanwhile, is a strong backer of Trump’s policies and has the president’s endorsement.
  • Virginia governor: Democrat Abigail Spanberger, a former congresswoman, leads the GOP candidate, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears. Trump has not specifically endorsed Earle-Sears, notes NBC News. Spanberger is seen as a moderate, and a win could help refute the notion that Democrats need to move aggressively to the left to be successful, per the Deseret News. (The state’s attorney general race is also interesting, after violent texts sent years ago by Democratic candidate Jay Jones surfaced.)
  • California redistricting: Californians will vote on Proposition 50 to determine if the state will adopt a new congressional map seen as more favorable to Democrats, per ABC News. It’s a key battle in the ongoing redistricting wars in multiple states. “Prop 50 will have a big impact on the midterms,” says Christian Grose, a professor of political science at the University of Southern California. “The US House margin right now is so narrow that every seat in every state could make a difference for which party controls Congress.”

Anyone care to venture a prediction on how all this will turn out?

This will be a telling election I think…..and I will be watching….

An Old Threat Returns

Our bloated leader has once again threatened more attacks on a nation…..this time an old threat against Mexico.

Our clueless leaders is having a grand old time threatening everybody he can to keep the meme of drugs going.

It appears that more plans are being made…..

The Trump administration has begun developing detailed plans to send US troops and intelligence officers into Mexico to target cartels in operations that would include drone strikes, NBC News reported on Monday, citing current and former US officials.

The report said that US military personnel have already begun training for the potential mission, though a deployment is not imminent. Many of the troops would come from Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) and would operate under the authority of US intelligence agencies, with involvement from CIA officers.

Unlike the current US bombing campaign against alleged drug boats in the waters of Latin America, which the Trump administration is conducting without legal authority, the idea of the campaign in Mexico would be to keep it secret and not publicize attacks.

The NBC report said the administration wanted to operate in coordination with the Mexican government but was also considering conducting the campaign without Mexico’s approval, which would mark a significant violation of the country’s sovereignty. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has increased law enforcement cooperation with the US and has allowed the CIA to ramp up surveillance flights along the border, but she has repeatedly ruled out US military intervention in her country.

“The United States is not going to come to Mexico with the military,” Sheinbaum said in August. “We cooperate, we collaborate, but there is not going to be an invasion. That is ruled out, absolutely ruled out.”

The Mexican leader has also condemned US strikes on boats in the region, saying she “doesn’t agree” with the policy. The US recently bombed several alleged drug vessels in the Eastern Pacific, and in one case, the Mexican Navy had to rescue a survivor.

The NBC report signals that the potential US bombing campaign in Mexico, which would target alleged cartel targets, would have even less transparency since the idea is to do it in secret.

In response to the report, a senior administration official told NBC, “The Trump administration is committed to utilizing an all-of-government approach to address the threats cartels pose to American citizens.”

This is getting tiresome.

After 50 years of the War of Drugs and the supply has not significantly diminished but Donny somehow has a master plan.

When will this madness end?

This macho bullshit needs to be tamped down…..there are more important issues that need immediate attention.

BTW….Mexico is also an oil producing country.

Nigeria In The Eye Of A Storm

We know that our Little Donny has aspirations of change in Venezuela to the point that he is willing to kill civilians and start an ugly chapter for the US.

He has even gone so far as to threaten the African nation of Nigeria.

And he is using the persecution of Christians as an excuse for his unsavory behavior.

A day after suggesting Nigeria could face sanctions for allegedly failing to rein in the persecution of Christians in the West African country, President Trump returned to social media to up his threat. He posted Saturday that the US “may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” per the AP, adding, “I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action.” Trump had announced Friday that he would designate Nigeria “a country of particular concern” as it relates to religious freedom, a move that had been pushed by some US lawmakers.

The Nigerian government vehemently rejects Trump’s claims, the AP reports, and analysts say that while Christians are among those targeted, the majority of victims of armed groups are Muslims in Nigeria’s Muslim-majority north, where most attacks occur. Trump elevated his warning after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu earlier on Saturday pushed back against designation. “Religious freedom and tolerance have been a core tenet of our collective identity and shall always remain so,” Tinubu posted, saying the protections are guaranteed by Nigeria’s constitution.

Designating a “country of particular concern” under the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act is an executive prerogative that normally follows recommendations from both the congressionally mandated US Commission on International Religious Freedom and the State Department. Nigeria was first placed on the “country of particular concern” list by the US in 2020 in what the State Department called “systematic violations of religious freedom.” However, the designation didn’t single out attacks on Christians. The State Department usually releases its annual “Report on International Religious Freedom” in the spring, but it hasn’t yet done so this year.

Seriously?  To protect Christians?  What about the attacks in Israel by those curly-q thugs lovingly called ‘settlers’ which are no better than a roving band of armed assholes that do not like Christians…..can we expect chastisement by Donny?

Do not count on it.

Just over the weekend…..

Over the weekend, a group of armed Israeli settlers in the West Bank staged an attack on American journalist and Drop Site News contributor Jasper Nathaniel and a group of Palestinians he was accompanying. Footage recorded by Nathaniel, a U.S. citizen, shows more than a dozen masked men chasing him and his group down a dirt road.

Already horrifying, the story soon became even more egregious. When Nathaniel contacted the U.S. Embassy to report the attack, he was told that his own government could not protect him. And that is the most recent example.

Then what is it about all these ‘attack’ talk….let’s take a look-see….Venezuela–oil, Nigeria–oil….do we need to go any further?

All this bully and simple chest thumping is typical and proves just what a hypocrite and racist this tool is….
