And Donny Babbled On

Yesterday his High Majesty walked into the UN to give the yearly speech that all presidents have done for decades…..and he did not disappoint and threw more red meat for those mental midgets he calls MAGA.

There was problem with the teleprompter that delayed his speech…..thank god it was rectified or god knows what junk would have fallen from the mouth of the idiot.

Once the teleprompter glitch was out of the way, President Trump hit a wide range of subjects in an aggressive speech on Tuesday to the UN General Assembly. Highlights via the BBC, the AP, the Washington Post, and the New York Times:

  • Climate change: He called this the “greatest con job” in history, a statement a BBC reporter says was met with gasps. “If you don’t [move] away from the green energy scam, your country is going to fail,” Trump told his fellow world leaders. He said the idea of a carbon footprint is “a hoax made up by people … with evil intentions.”
  • Immigration: Trump told the world body to end the “failed experiment of open borders,” accusing the UN of facilitating an “invasion” of the US and other Western nations. He said Europe in particular is in “serious trouble” because of immigration.
  • Flexing: But even while depicting himself as a peacemaker, Trump boasted of ordering strikes on Iran and on alleged drug smugglers from Venezuela. “We will blow you out of existence,” Trump warned future smugglers.
  • Biden: Trump went after his predecessor a number of times, referring to the “Sleepy Joe Biden administration” as one of the most “corrupt” and “incompetent.” He again blamed the Russia-Ukraine war partly on Biden.
  • UN slam: “What is the purpose of the United Nations?” Trump asked. “I’ve always said (the UN) has such tremendous, tremendous potential, but it’s not even coming close to living up to that potential.” Trump said he has resolved multiple global conflicts in contrast to the UN. “Empty words don’t solve wars.”

Your typical red meat….on immigration, climate change, Biden, and taking a shot at the UN….all predictable.

Did he say anything positive?

You decide….

  1. But Babylon 5 was still the best Space Show besides Star Trek.

Now the Global Warming Denial, that just shows he wanted to make people angry! (Or maybe he was hangry due to no Big Mac!)

      1. I can’t even look at him. He makes me shrivel inside. Still amazed no one has declared him incompetent and wheeled him out on a trolley…

      2. To me he looks like someone desperately trying to hang on to sanity…..and is losing the battle…..chuq

  2. I watched as much as I could on the BBC report, but had to turn it off when the cringe factor got to 100. I just don’t get how America is letting this man represent the most powerful country in the world, and turning it into a laughing stock. It actually makes me feel sad.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. His approval rating in the US is 37%….while Republicans are trying harder than ever to block people from voting, we all have the right to decide who we want to support – and let the final results decide the best next step for us. I usually get slammed here for commenting- from one person in particular, so let me add that of course only legally registered Americans should vote – but I will also point out that most cases of alleged voter fraud have involved Republican candidates. Go ahead, insult me – but truth still matters

    1. I have been making that point every time the subject of voter fraud and the GOP comes up….there is nothing democratic about all these fake issues on fraud. chuq

      1. But go ahead and investigate and the truth wins out…wasting time and money, but democracy prevails when the truth emerges, no matter how long it takes…

      2. part of the blame has to come from education (not the fault of the teachers, the fault of time itself) that has been dumbed down so far that we may have to start at the bottom and work our way up. Teach the kids to ad and subtract. and how to read. And how to read for content, not entertainment.

      3. Education is a huge part of it….it deserves more4 resources than Congress is willing to give. chuq
