A Babbling Mess

Dear Donny made a national speech on our war with Iran….it was a short speech (surprise….surprise) and as usual was a total waste of time….his and ours.

Presidents make these types of speeches reassure the nation….if that was his intention then like most things Donny it was a failure…..

President Trump said US forces will “finish the job” in Iran soon as “core strategic objectives are nearing completion,” offering a full-throated defense of the war Wednesday night in his first national address since the conflict began more than a month ago, the AP reports. He used his platform before a wide audience to tout the success of the US operations and argue that all of Washington’s objectives have so far been met or exceeded, but said Iran would continue to face a barrage of attacks in the short term. “We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks,” Trump said. “We’re going to bring them back to the Stone Ages, where they belong.” (Iran’s president issued a letter in advance of Trump’s speech.)

But Trump also spent much of an address that lasted just under 20 minutes repeating many things he had already said in recent weeks and providing few new details. The speech appeared unlikely to move the needle of public sentiment at a time when polling shows many Americans feel the US military has gone too far in Iran and as gas and oil prices remain high. A few notable things he didn’t say:

  • He didn’t mention the possibility of sending US ground troops into Iran.
  • Nor did he reference NATO, the trans-Atlantic alliance he has railed against for not helping the US secure the critical Strait of Hormuz, where a chokehold by Iran has sent energy prices soaring.
  • He also didn’t say anything about negotiations with Iran.
  • He didn’t bring up his April 6 deadline for Iran to reopen the waterway or face severe retaliation from the US.

Trump ticked through a timeline of past American involvement in conflicts and noted that the ongoing war in Iran had lasted just 32 days, seeming to appeal to the public for more time to achieve the mission. “World War I lasted one year, seven months, and five days,” he said. “World War II lasted for three years, eight months, and 25 days.” Trump also added references to Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq. He also noted that in “these past four weeks, our armed forces have delivered swift, decisive, overwhelming victories on the battlefield.” He said US military action had been “so powerful, so brilliant” that “one of the most powerful countries” is “really no longer a threat”—even as Iran kept up its attacks on Israel and Persian Gulf neighbors early Thursday.

So all he did was regurgitate all the crap he had spread for the past 5 weeks.

Then there is the reactions of Donny’s favorite part of his job…..the markets…..

Investors got a fresh reminder Wednesday that geopolitics often calls the shots on Wall Street, CNBC reports. US stock futures slid Wednesday night after President Trump signaled the conflict with Iran is likely to grind on, even as he again suggested an end may be near. S&P 500 futures fell roughly 0.8%, Nasdaq 100 futures about 1%, and Dow futures dropped more than 300 points. Asian stocks also fell, the AP reports. The moves came as Trump vowed to strike Tehran “extremely hard” and said the US would push Iran “back to the stone ages” over the next few weeks.

Markets reacted in real time: futures weakened during the speech while oil prices jumped, with US crude up nearly 4% above $103 a barrel and Brent up 5% past $106—a high point for oil prices in recent weeks, Forbes reports.

So all in all waste of time…..for him and for me…..

He really should study up on what these types of speeches are really for and not just to see his pasty mug on TV.

Another Rambling Speech?

The nation will be sitting on the edge of their chairs as Donny tells us what he has planned for the Iran War tonight.

President Trump says the end of the Iran war is near, and the White House says plans to explain what comes next in a prime-time address Wednesday night. In a post on X, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump “will give an Address to the Nation to provide an important update on Iran” at 9pm Eastern. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump said the US would wind down its military campaign in Iran within “two or three weeks” and again brushed off the closure of the Strait of Hormuz as a problem mainly for other nations.

  • “We will be leaving soon,” Trump said, though the New York Times reports that he mentioned different timelines. He said it would be “maybe two weeks, maybe a couple of days longer to do the job. But we want to knock out every single thing they have.”
  • Trump, who has repeatedly cited four or five objectives for the war, said he “had one goal: They will have no nuclear weapon and that goal has been attained,” the AP reports. Later Tuesday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US was ahead of schedule with multiple objectives, including wiping out Iran’s missile and drone factories, CNN reports. “We’re well on our way. We are on or ahead of schedule on each of those four objectives and we can see the finish line. It’s not today, it’s not tomorrow but it’s coming,” Rubio told Sean Hannity in a Fox News appearance.
  • Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told European Council President Antonio Costa on Tuesday that Iran had the “necessary will” to end the conflict with the US and Israel if “guarantees” were in place, Euronews reports. “We possess the necessary will to end this conflict, provided that essential conditions are met, especially the guarantees required to prevent repetition of the aggression,” Pezeshkian said, according to a statement from his office.
  • On the ground, the fighting showed little sign of wrapping up on Tuesday, the Times reports. A large airstrike hit the Iranian city of Isfahan, triggering a massive blast, and a Kuwaiti oil tanker went up in flames after a drone attack at a Dubai port, which Kuwaiti officials blamed on Iran. In Washington, Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the US has begun flying B-52 bombers over Iran for the first time in the conflict, describing it as evidence that Iranian air defenses have been badly weakened.

Will this be a typical Donny self love fest or will he give the nation the straight skinny?

My guess is the former not the later…..he has not giving the nation the straight skinny for over a year.

Will there be hints at US Troops on the ground?

So many questions with few answers forthcoming.

I will be watching and writing.  (so you do not have to)

The “Trap” Is Sprung!

My summation of the SOTU speech was ma bust….but there were things happening that people should know about…..like the devious trap he set for the Dems during his speech….

A clever turn for Little Donny….

Expect one moment from President Trump’s State of the Union to live on repeatedly in political ads as the midterms near, one that involves the volatile issue of immigration. Coverage:

  • The moment: About an hour into his speech, Trump declared: “One of the great things about the State of the Union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their representatives really believe. So tonight, I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle: if you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.” Watch it here, via NBC News.
  • Split room: Republicans stood en masse and applauded, while Democrats remained seated. “Isn’t that a shame?” Trump said, referring to the Democrats, per Fox News. “You should be ashamed of yourself for not standing up. You should be ashamed of yourself.”
  • The trap: The Washington Post reports that Trump himself came up with the idea to create a viral moment. The story uses the word “trap” to describe his plan, as does a New York Times analysis. “Trump set his trap,” writes Shawn McCreesh. “With one maneuver, Mr. Trump divided the room, asking viewers to see the two camps as he saw them: There were the Good Americans and there were those willing to jeopardize the country’s security.”
  • Going viral: Already, the conservative nonprofit American Sovereignty is out with an ad highlighting the moment, reports Politico. “Remember this when you head to the polls in 2026, 2028, and beyond,” tweeted the Trump War Room, along with video. Stephen Miller and Vice President JD Vance also were trumpeting the moment, as were multiple GOP heavyweights.
  • The bet: Even as polls show Trump underwater on immigration and the economy ranking as voters’ top concern, the president’s camp is certain that immigration still motivates the Republican base. As the Politico analysis puts it, “Republicans are betting President Donald Trump just handed them the lifeline they need to win on immigration again.”
  • Democrats: They remain hopeful that Americans will see the administration’s immigration tactics as too harsh, and were shrugging off the criticism. “Of course we support Americans,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters. “We’re not going to be a prop in Donald Trump’s little show.”

This was a genius move especially with an election looming on the horizon….no matter what the Dems would do it will be used against them in campaigns.

There was NO way for the Dems to come out of that theatrical moment unscathed.

At this point it is Donny 1, Dems 0….Dems need to be more prepared for this type of trick from the master scammer.

Maybe this will get people interested in the SOTU speech…..

SOTU–2026

I know I am a glutton for punishment and I suffered through the almost 2 hour speech…..lots of manure was spread and lots of lies were passed on to the viewing audience.

This is a summation for those that want to know what fresh Hell Donny has in store for the nation.

President Trump started in sales mode, using his State of the Union address to deliver an upbeat vision of the US economy. But that portrayal collides with the sentiment of Americans who remain anxious about their finances and feel they haven’t benefited from Trump’s policies. He took the high road to honor the gold medal-winning US men’s Olympic hockey team and a war hero before pivoting abruptly to a darker tone as he ridiculed Democrats. He focused much of the first hour of his record-setting one-hour, 48-minute speech on the economy, something Republicans had urged him to do as they head into the midterm elections. Here are takeaways from the speech from the AP:

  • Economy: Much of the nation is worried about the direction of the economy, but Trump says the good times are here, insisting repeatedly that rising costs are no longer a problem. “The roaring economy is roaring like never before,” he said. He cheered the lower cost of gasoline, mortgage rates, prescription drug prices and the rising stock market: “Millions and millions of Americans are all gaining.” Such optimism, as so many Americans are feeling economic strains, risks painting Trump as out of touch. Just 39% of US adults approved of Trump’s handling of the economy in February, according to AP-NORC polling.
  • Patriotism: For a president who always seems to be spoiling for a fight, Trump also tried to summon Americans’ innate patriotic impulses. In addition to the hockey team, he singled out war heroes and those who had taken brave stands in other countries, using the moment to bestow numerous presidential medals in an effort to give the address a more positive gloss. It underscored the president’s media savvy and understanding that even if a moment isn’t appreciated completely in real time, it can have an afterlife in the days following speech, especially on social media. Yet in one revealing moment, Trump lamented why he couldn’t give a congressional medal to himself.
  • A negative turn: The Republican president soon took aim at Democrats and blamed them for many of the nation’s ills. Trump said rising health care premiums are “caused by you,” suggested Democrats “are not protecting” Social Security and blamed them for the nation’s affordability crunch. “You caused that problem. You caused that problem,” Trump said as he glared at the Democratic side of the room. He seemed to get angrier as the speech progressed. “These people are crazy, I’m telling you, they’re crazy,” he said. “Democrats are destroying this country.”
  • SCOTUS: By Trump’s standards, he held his tongue when it came to the Supreme Court. After the court struck down his tariff policy last week, Trump said the justices who voted against one of his signature issues were an “embarrassment to their families.” By Tuesday, he simply called the ruling “unfortunate.” Trump sought to treat the ruling with indifference, insisting that tariff revenues were “saving” the US, ignoring the fact that the levies haven’t made a significant dent in government debt. He said the tariffs were paid by foreign countries even as virtually every study concludes that costs have been paid by US firms and consumers.
  • Elections: The president also used the speech to reprise his attack on the integrity of US elections. “Cheating is rampant in our elections,” Trump said. Trump has made such claims for years, focused on his 2020 election loss, claims rejected by dozens of courts and his own attorney general at the time. “They want to cheat. They have cheated, and their policy is so bad that the only way they can get elected is to cheat,” Trump said of Democrats. “And we’re going to stop it. We have to stop it.”
  • Minneapolis: Sometimes what’s not said is as notable as what is. Trump has highlighted immigration since the very first speech in which he announced his 2016 presidential campaign. And on Tuesday night, he revived much of the same language he’s used throughout the past decade, blasting “criminal aliens” and warning of “drug lords, murderers all over our country.” What he didn’t mention: the most aggressive immigration enforcement tactics that threatened to bring the US to the brink earlier this year. He didn’t mention the deaths of two US citizens in Minneapolis last month at the hands of federal agents. And he made no acknowledgement of the broad concerns in the US about Trump’s approach on immigration, as demonstrated by the 60% of US adults who disapproved of his handling of the issue in February, according to AP-NORC polling.
  • Iran: Trump has already built up the largest US military presence in the Middle East in decades. And in his speech, he outlined a rationale for using those forces to launch a major military strike against Iran. The president said that Iran and its proxies have “spread nothing but terrorism, death and hate,” adding that its leaders have killed at least 32,000 protesters in recent weeks. He also warned that the nation has developed missiles that can threaten Europe and is working on missiles “that will soon reach” the US.

For those that watched something more special…..Donny hit all his usual high points….Dems did it (whatever it was), still harping on giving himself the medal of honor, massive voter fraud (none has ever been found), justification for starting another conflict with Iran, according to Donny we live in a ‘golden age’….still looking for where my life is golden.

But if you are interested in a fact check on his rambling speech….

Or if you do not like NPR there is another….

https://abcnews.com/Politics/fact-checking-trumps-state-union-address/

All in all it was note worthy…..how?  I is amazing that one person can lie and scam for 2 hours straight.

The Dems had their shot, just not as much time as Little Donny to make their case….

Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger offered a sharp contrast to President Trump’s depiction of the nation as being in a “golden age” during his State of the Union, arguing in her Democratic rebuttal that costs remain high for many Americans more than a year into his second term. Her message, that families are still struggling under Trump’s policies, is one Democrats plan to carry nationwide ahead of the midterm elections. Party leaders point to Spanberger’s double-digit victory in Virginia last November as validation of a disciplined, cost-focused campaign they now hope to replicate across the country, the AP reports.

Spanberger was flanked by American flags as she delivered the speech from Colonial Williamsburg, a living history museum with restored 18th-century buildings, invoking the site’s role at the heart of Virginia’s early opposition to British rule. Spanberger said she wanted to “plainly and honestly” speak to people watching at home. She structured her speech around a series of direct questions: “Is the president working to make life more affordable for you and your family? Is the president working to keep Americans safe, both at home and abroad? Is the president working for you?”

I think she asked the right questions….but is anyone listening?

Sadly I do not think the Dems hit it out of the park with their speech….but I was not expecting them too bring it home.

All in all a wasted night of TV…..but it was interesting for me for I am a sick political junkie.

Big Night For Donny

Tonight we will be subjected to the off topic rants and accusations of our Dear Leader in his SOTU speech….it will be a contentious one….some Dems will opt out and Donny will be still fuming about the SCOTUS decision on his silly tariffs.

President Trump delivers his State of the Union speech Tuesday night, and he’s tipping his hand on only one aspect of it in advance: “It’s going to be a long speech because we have so much to talk about,” he told reporters on Monday, reports the New York Times. Tariffs, inflation, immigration, and Iran are just a few of the topics on the agenda as the midterms loom. One other aspect getting attention: the awkwardness of Supreme Court justices attending days after Trump slammed some of them as “disloyal” and “lap dogs” because of their decision to invalidate his tariffs. For Chief Justice John Roberts in particular, it will be quite a contrast from last year’s first joint session of Congress, which was all “warmth and good vibes,” notes USA Today.

This year, Roberts authored the opinion that has led to days of attacks on the court by the president, and Roberts was joined not only by the court’s liberals, but by two Trump appointees, Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett—whom Trump called “an embarrassment to their families.” Asked whether those justices were still welcome at Tuesday’s address, Trump answered they were “barely invited” and said, “I couldn’t care less if they come.” Meanwhile, at least half a dozen Democratic lawmakers plan to skip the speech in favor of an alternate event at the National Mall, reports CNN.

I am sure that Donny will have something to say about the decision for he cannot let anything goo especially if someone has defied him in some way and SCOTUS has done just that.

There is word that some Dems will invite some Epstein survivors to the speech….grandstanding  and some prominent people are calling for average viewers to tune out.

I am a political junkie I cannot not watch the speech and write a summary of what I saw and heard….it should be entertaining…..at least for me.

Stay tuned for I will post my thoughts on the disaster that will be the SOTU speech for 2026.

A Steamin’ Pile Of …..

I admit that I am a political junkie and had to watch the speech made by his lord high dumbass last night…..and I was not disappointed.

I figured it would be a lot of  Dems bad, Biden bad, me good, me savior…..and so on….and like I said I was not disappointed….

Here is a quick look at the speech (?)……

President Trump tried in a live speech Wednesday night from the White House to convince the American people that they are wrong to worry about the US economy, saying any challenges are being repaired, the AP reports. “Eleven months ago, I inherited a mess, and I’m fixing it,” Trump said. His remarks came at a crucial time as he tries to rebuild his steadily eroding popularity. Public polling shows most US adults are frustrated with his handling of the economy as inflation picked up after his tariffs raised prices and hiring slowed. Flanked by two Christmas trees with a portrait of George Washington behind him in the White House’s Diplomatic Reception Room, Trump sought to pin any worries about high inflation on his predecessor, Joe Biden.

In 2026, Trump and his party face a referendum on their leadership as the nation heads into the midterm elections that will decide control of the House and the Senate. The White House remarks were a chance for Trump to try to regain some momentum after Republican losses in this year’s elections raised questions about the durability of his coalition. Trump brought charts with him to make the case that the economy is on an upward trajectory. But the hard math internalized by the public paints a more complicated picture of an economy that has some stability but few reasons to inspire much public confidence.

The stock market is up, gasoline prices are down and tech companies are placing large bets on the development of artificial intelligence. But inflation that had been descending after spiking to a four-decade high in 2022 under Biden has reaccelerated after Trump announced his tariffs in April. The consumer price index is increasing at an annual rate of 3%, up from 2.3% in April. The affordability squeeze is also coming from a softening job market. Monthly job gains have averaged a paltry 17,000 since April’s “Liberation Day” in which Trump announced import taxes that he later suspended and then readjusted several months later. The unemployment rate has climbed from 4% in January to 4.6%.

He was right stock markets are up….but only means the Robber Barons are manipulating the crap out of the markets…..average peons like me does not see a good economy….sorry but he is president it is HIS economy no matter how much he wishes otherwise.

Within the speech he tries to get the military indebted to him (he may need them in the coming months)…..

President Trump delivered a politically charged speech Wednesday carried live in prime time on network television, seeking to pin the blame for economic challenges on Democrats while announcing he is sending a $1,776 bonus check to US troops for Christmas, the AP reports. The remarks came as the nation is preparing to settle down to celebrate the holidays, yet Trump was focused more on divisions within the country than a sense of unity. His speech was a rehash of his recent messaging that has so far been unable to calm public anxiety about the cost of groceries, housing, utilities, and other basic goods.

Trump has promised an economic boom, yet inflation has stayed elevated and the job market has weakened sharply in the wake of his import taxes. Trump suggested that his tariffs—which are partly responsible for boosting consumer prices—would fund a new “warrior dividend” for 1.45 million military members, a payment that could ease some of the financial strains for many households. “The checks are already on the way,” he said. Presidential addresses to the nation carried on network television are traditionally less partisan than rally speeches, but Trump gave a condensed version of his usual political remarks, including insistence that he’s “fixing” the economy.

The president sought to end the address on a high note, noting the Olympics and World Cup soccer matches that will take place in the United States next year. Trump made an appeal to patriotism by noting that 2026 is the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and closed his speech by wishing viewers a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

All in all the speech was a POS….as his tradition he blames others for any failures and pats himself on the back for non-existent success…

If you were smart enough to opt out of his speech then I hope this will help you understand what crap was spread.

A classless talk.

And Donny Babbled On

Yesterday his High Majesty walked into the UN to give the yearly speech that all presidents have done for decades…..and he did not disappoint and threw more red meat for those mental midgets he calls MAGA.

There was problem with the teleprompter that delayed his speech…..thank god it was rectified or god knows what junk would have fallen from the mouth of the idiot.

Once the teleprompter glitch was out of the way, President Trump hit a wide range of subjects in an aggressive speech on Tuesday to the UN General Assembly. Highlights via the BBC, the AP, the Washington Post, and the New York Times:

  • Climate change: He called this the “greatest con job” in history, a statement a BBC reporter says was met with gasps. “If you don’t [move] away from the green energy scam, your country is going to fail,” Trump told his fellow world leaders. He said the idea of a carbon footprint is “a hoax made up by people … with evil intentions.”
  • Immigration: Trump told the world body to end the “failed experiment of open borders,” accusing the UN of facilitating an “invasion” of the US and other Western nations. He said Europe in particular is in “serious trouble” because of immigration.
  • Flexing: But even while depicting himself as a peacemaker, Trump boasted of ordering strikes on Iran and on alleged drug smugglers from Venezuela. “We will blow you out of existence,” Trump warned future smugglers.
  • Biden: Trump went after his predecessor a number of times, referring to the “Sleepy Joe Biden administration” as one of the most “corrupt” and “incompetent.” He again blamed the Russia-Ukraine war partly on Biden.
  • UN slam: “What is the purpose of the United Nations?” Trump asked. “I’ve always said (the UN) has such tremendous, tremendous potential, but it’s not even coming close to living up to that potential.” Trump said he has resolved multiple global conflicts in contrast to the UN. “Empty words don’t solve wars.”

Your typical red meat….on immigration, climate change, Biden, and taking a shot at the UN….all predictable.

Did he say anything positive?

You decide….

More 100 Days Antics

On his 100 anniversary our boy in DC went to Michigan to run his mouth…..my granddaddy had a saying about people like Donny…’they talk out of both sides of their mouth’….but enough reminiscing….what did he go on and on about?

President Trump on Tuesday celebrated the 100th day of his second term—yet spent much of his rally marking it in campaign mode, bringing up past grudges and grievances. The AP reports that at the rally at Macomb Community College in suburban Detroit. Trump repeatedly mocked his Democratic predecessor, Joe Biden, attacking his mental acuity and even how he appears in a bathing suit. He again claimed he won the 2020 presidential election. And he attacked polling and news coverage not favorable to him. “I miss the campaign,” he said at one point, per the New York Times.

  • Trump again and again returned to immigration, his signature issue, at the rally that marked his largest political event since returning to the White House—boasting about his administration’s “mass deportation” efforts that have sent arrests for illegal crossings along the US-Mexico plummeting. “Removing the invaders is not just a campaign pledge,” Trump said. “It’s my solemn duty as commander-in-chief. I have an obligation to save our country.” He paused his remarks to play a video of of alleged gang members arriving at a notorious prison in El Salvador, with the crowd cheering as images of deportees having their heads shaved were played.
  • We’re here tonight in the heartland of our nation to celebrate the most successful first 100 days of any administration in the history of our country,” Trump said, standing before large electronic screens reading “100 Days of Greatness.” He later added: “We’ve just gotten started. You haven’t even seen anything yet.”
  • “After a lifetime of unelected bureaucrats stealing your paychecks, attacking your values and trampling your freedoms, we are stopping their gravy train, ending their power trip, and telling thousands of corrupt, incompetent and unnecessary deep state bureaucrats, ‘you’re fired!'” Trump said during the 90-minute speech to crowd of around 3,000.
  • Trump gave shoutouts to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and CNN commentator Scott Jennings, inviting the Republican consultant up on stage, the AP reports. Trump ended as he always did on the campaign trail, proclaiming he will “fight, fight, fight” and “win, win, win.”
  • The Times reports that the Democratic National Committee issued a statement in response to Trump’s rally: “While Donald Trump lives in his delusions, Michigan families—along with millions of working families across this country—are forced to live with the consequences of his dangerous, chaotic, and economy-destroying agenda.”

He said he missed campaigning….what the Hell was this rally….

Then there was his 100 days interview with ABC News….would we call it contentious?

In addition to his Michigan rally, President Trump gave an interview to ABC News to mark his 100th day in office Tuesday, and it wasn’t exactly a friendly one. Words like “contentious” and “testy” were being used to describe Trump’s sit-down with Terry Moran, an anchor and senior national correspondent for the network—whom Trump said he picked for the interview because he’d “never heard of” him before. The two clashed on topics including tariffs, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and the administration’s mass deportation efforts, per outlets including the Independent and the Hill. Some key quotes:

  • Kilmar Abrego Garcia: While discussing the accidental deportation of Abrego Garcia, Trump sparred with Moran over whether the man had MS-13 tattoos (many have said the photos appearing to show such tattoos have been digitally altered, which Moran pointed out to Trump, to no avail). “They’re giving you the big break of a lifetime, you know, you’re doing the interview,” Trump said during this exchange. “I picked you because, frankly, I never heard of you … but you’re not being very nice.”
  • Tariffs: After a back-and-forth on Trump’s trade policies got heated at times, with Trump downplaying Moran’s questions about concerns for the US economy, Moran eventually asked, “So your answer to the concern about the tariffs is, ‘Everything’s gonna be hunky-dory?'” Trump replied, “Everybody’s gonna be just fine. It wouldn’t have been if I didn’t do this. I had a choice. I could leave it, have a nice, easy time. But I think ultimately you wouldn’t had an implosion. Our country had inflation that was worse than they’ve ever had it before. You don’t mention that. Why don’t you mention that?”
  • Hegseth: Trump defended his defense secretary despite reports of chaos at the Defense Department and multiple allegations of security breaches involving Hegseth. Asked by Moran if he had 100% confidence in Hegseth, the president replied, “I don’t have 100% confidence in anything, OK? Anything. Do I have a hundred percent? It’s a stupid question.”
  • Putin: Trump also acknowledged he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin “wanted to get all of Ukraine, once he went in.” He added, “I think if I didn’t win the election, he would have gotten all of Ukraine, he would have taken all of Ukraine.”
  • Authoritarianism: Asked how he would respond to people who are concerned the country is sliding into authoritarianism, Trump replied, “I would hate them to think that. I’m doing one thing, I’m making America great again.”

As usual this interview was never about informing the viewers but rather a chance to take shots at anyone that he considers ‘hostile’.

All in all it was a day that will be remembered for  what your had for breakfast….nothing else.

Dems Lame Theatrics

During the Presidential speech the Dems tried to be cute….one Dem got tossed for being mouthy and the small cadre held up signs like Musk Steals, Save Medicare, etc and some even filed out of the speech slowly.

To me as I have said it was theatrics only and was not effective only to the media for they had a spectacle they could put on the evening news for a few minutes

This is a video that pretty much echoes what I have already said.

His First Time. (Again)

Last night I had the not so distinct chore of watching and listening to a speech packed with lies and back slappin’…Trump’s big night in front of the people (from behind a gilded door).

I can sum up my review in just a few words…..good go what absolute garbage!

A massage of his own deluded ego.

But for those that were smart enough to watch Ghost Hunters let me fill in the blanks for you.

President Trump addressed Congress and the American people Tuesday night and immediately proclaimed, “America is back,” to cries of “USA! USA!” in response. He made it just a couple of minutes into his speech before Democratic Rep. Al Green of Texas was removed from the House chamber, with House Speaker Mike Johnson calling Green’s behavior a “willful and concerted breach of decorum.” Standout lines from the president:

  • America is back: “We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplish in four years, eight years, and we are just getting started. … The American dream is surging bigger and better than ever before. The American dream is unstoppable, and our country is on the verge of a comeback. … Now for the first time in modern history, more Americans believe that our country is headed in the right direction than the wrong direction.”
  • Washington-level success: “It has been stated by many that the first month of our presidency is the most successful in the history of our nation … and what makes it even more impressive is that do you know who number two is? George Washington.”
  • A swing at Biden: “Illegal border crossings last month were by far the lowest ever recorded. They hear my words and chose not to come. … Under Joe Biden, the worst president in American history, there were hundreds of thousands of illegal crossings a month, and virtually all of them, including murderers, drug dealers, gang members and people from mental institutions were released into our country.”
  • A swing at Democrats: “I look at the Democrats in front of me and I realize there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy or to make them stand or smile or applaud, nothing I can do. I could find a cure to the most devastating disease, a disease that would wipe out entire nations … and these people sitting right here will not clap.”
  • A recap of his moves I: “I imposed an immediate freeze on all federal hiring, a freeze on all new federal regulations, and a freeze on foreign aid. I terminated the ridiculous new green scam. I withdrew from the unfair Paris Climate Accord … I withdrew from the corrupt World Health Organization and I also withdrew from the anti-American UN Human Rights Council. We ended all of Biden’s environmental restrictions that were making our country far less safe and totally unaffordable.”
  • A recap of his moves II: “We have ended weaponized government where, as an example, a sitting president is allowed to viciously prosecute his political opponent like me. … I renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America, and likewise, I renamed for a great president, William McKinley, Mount McKinley again. … Our country will be woke no longer. … We have removed the poison of critical race theory from our public schools, and I signed an order making it the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”
  • Eggs: “Joe Biden especially let the price of eggs get out of control … and we’re working hard to get it back down.”
  • What’s coming: “A major focus of our fight to defeat inflation is rapidly reducing the cost of energy. … My administration is also working on a gigantic natural gas pipeline in Alaska, among the largest in the world. … I will also take historic action to dramatically expand production of critical minerals and rare earths here in the US.”
  • What’s coming II: “We’re also identifying shocking levels of incompetence and probable fraud in the Social Security program for our seniors … believe it or not, government databases list 4.7 million Social Security members from people aged 100 to 109 years old. It lists 3.6 million people from ages 110 to 119 I don’t know any of them. I know some people that are rather elderly, but not quite that elderly. … 3.5 million people from ages 140 to 149 and money is being paid to many of them, and we’re searching right now. … And over 130,000 people, according to the Social Security databases are age over 160 years old. We have a healthier country than I thought, Bobby.”
  • What’s coming III: “The next phase of our plan to deliver the greatest economy in history is for this Congress to pass tax cuts for everybody. … I’m calling for no tax on tips, no tax on overtime and no tax on Social Security benefits for our great seniors. … I also want to make interest payments on car loans tax deductible, but only if the car is made in America.”
  • On tariffs: “If you don’t make your product in America, under the Trump administration, you will pay a tariff, and in some cases a rather large one. Other countries have used tariffs against us for decades, and now it’s our turn to start using them against those other countries. … On April 2, reciprocal tariffs kick in, and whatever they tariff us, other countries, we will tariff them.”
  • The lines that got some of the loudest cheers: “Since taking office, my administration has launched the most sweeping border and immigration crackdown in American history, and we quickly achieved the lowest numbers of illegal border crossers ever recorded. The media and our friends in the Democrat Party kept saying we needed new legislation. We must have legislation to secure the border, but it turned out that all we really needed was a new president.”
  • On wokeness: “I also signed an order to cut off all taxpayer funding to any institution that engages in the sexual mutilation of our youth. And now I want Congress to pass a bill permanently banning and criminalizing sex changes on children and forever ending the lie that any child is trapped in the wrong body. This is a big lie, and our message to every child in America is that you are perfect, exactly the way God made you. … We’re getting wokeness out of our schools and out of our military, and it’s already out and it’s out of our society, we don’t want it. Wokeness is trouble. Wokeness is bad, it’s gone, it’s gone. And we feel so much better for it, don’t we feel better?”
  • Military goals: “My focus is on building the most powerful military of the future. As a first step, I’m asking Congress to fund a state-of-the-art Golden Dome missile defense shield to protect our homeland, all made in the USA. … I am announcing tonight that we will create a new office of ship building in the White House and offer special tax incentives to bring this industry home to America where it belongs. … My administration will be reclaiming the Panama Canal, and we’ve already started doing it.”
  • To Greenland: “I also have a message tonight for the incredible people of Greenland. We strongly support your right to determine your own future, and if you choose, we welcome you into the United States of America. We need Greenland for national security and even international security, and we’re working with everybody involved to try and get it … And I think we’re going to get it one way or the other. We’re going to get it. We will keep you safe, we will make you richer. Together, we will take Greenland to heights like you have never thought possible before.”
  • An arrest: “Three and a half years ago, ISIS terrorists killed 13 American service members and countless others … during the disastrous and incompetent withdrawal from Afghanistan. … Tonight, I am pleased to announce that we have just apprehended the top terrorist responsible for that atrocity, and he is right now on his way here to face the swift sword of American justice … and I want to thank especially the Government of Pakistan for helping arrest this monster.”
  • Zelensky sent a letter: “Earlier today, I received an important letter from President Zelensky of Ukraine. The letter reads, ‘Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians. … My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts. We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time.'”

All in all the speech was pretty much what you would expect from the king in waiting….rambling, babbling and full of lies.

Sometimes I wish I was not such a political junkie for I would have had nice night if not.

Every word of this about an hour and half speech was misinformation, lies and utter bullshit.

I’m tired….
