The Evil That Is Wind

We know that Donny thinks the world of fossil fuel and has doubled down to demonizing renewables and his recent comment about wind mills just shows his disdain for wind power….

“Stop the windmills,” President Trump said late Friday after arriving in Scotland—only to revisit the subject again on Sunday. During a press event meant to highlight US-EU trade talks, Trump managed to hit on topics ranging from wind turbines to whales, with a reporter at one point directing the following to the president: “Can I ask why you’re in a bad mood? Was it a bad morning of golf?” Trump’s reply: “No. The golf was beautiful.” What are apparently less beautiful are the turbines. The Times of London has Trump’s comments:

  • “I say to Europe, we will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States. They’re killing us. They’re killing the beauty of our scenery, our valleys, our beautiful plains.”
  • “Today, I’m playing the best course, I think, in the world. Turnberry, even though I own it, it’s probably the best course in the world. And I look over the horizon and I see nine windmills. It’s like, ‘Great, at the end of the 18th’. I said, ‘Isn’t that a shame?’ What a shame.”
  • “It’s the most expensive form of energy. They’re made in China, almost all of them. When they start to rust and rot in eight years you can’t really turn them off, you can’t burn them. They won’t let you bury the propellers, the props, because there’s a certain type of fiber that doesn’t go well with the land. … The whole thing is a con job.”
  • “It kills the birds. They’re noisy. You know, you have a certain place in the Massachusetts area that over the last 20 years had one or two whales wash ashore and over the last short period of time they had 18, because it’s driving them loco. It’s driving them crazy.

Trump’s assertion about wind turbines harming whales has been repeatedly debunked, reports Rolling Stone. The Department of Energy stated in April 2023 that there’s no evidence to link wind energy development to whale deaths.

Comments made from his golf course in Scotland.

We know how safe oil rigs are now don’t we?  It is like those spills have never killed any animals or plants or for that matter people.

Speaking of golf and Donny’s ever consuming need to play we have a new thing…..Golf Force One…..his armor plated golf cart….check out the article and the photo….

Just 10 months ago, Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt – his second that year – as he played golf.

So as Mr Trump and his entourage set off from the first tee at Trump Turnberry in South Ayrshire on Saturday, it appeared that his security team had come better prepared.

In addition to the stream of army trucks, road checkpoints, and sniper positions around rural Turnberry, Mr Trump’s team deployed an additional security measure in the form of a black-clad, reinforced golf cart.

While the president opted to drive a standard white-framed buggy around the course, a distinctly bulkier off-road vehicle trailed him closely throughout.

  1. Now stop it, Chuq — we all know that the whining sound of those windmill blades set up vibrations in the air that sterilize men who living within a certain distance from them and kills birds, fish, mosquitoes, flies, turtles, fishing worms and causes the soil to fail to grow things …thus killing all the grass in the yards of nearby homes ….We all know these things….why ignore them …. why deny them?

  2. How stupid to pay out for an armoured, anti-assassination golf cart, then he drives around in a standard one. A cynic like me might conclude that he knows there were never any real assassination attempts, and there is not going to be one this time, either. All the stuff about windmills is just a diversion from the fact that he wants the UK to drill for more oil and gas, and to allow fracking too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    1. I too have my doubts about those assassination attempts. I think they were staged, and if it were true, the president would never be allowed on a golf course that way, without armed guards every four inches. I watched the assassination thingy again, and he reacts by grabbing his ear and having red stuff on his hand. If my eyesight is correct, there is no way a bullet could have whizzed past that ear and nicked it just that way.
Oh, and one more thing. I mixed up Ivanka and Melania elsewhere. Not sure where, but mybad…

  3. If he wasn’t such an ignorant a-hole that keeps spouting off and condemning various well-respected Democrats, maybe he wouldn’t need so much protection. I don’t recall such extreme measures being taken by past presidents …??

  4. Dear lord the man is a flaming idiot! A lot of them are made right here about 30 miles away from me for god’s sake. I’ve been down at the docks im Manitowoc watching them loading the blades and pedestals onto the ships, for pete’s sake. But considering how far the poor bugger’s dementia has progressed over the last couple of years I wouldn’t be surprised if he thought Wisconsin IS part of China. Frankly Melanoma and the kids should be brought up on charges of elder abuse for not getting the poor old duffer into treatment long ago.

      1. One of the things we all need to remember about him is that he has absolutely no clue as to what’s going on out here in the real world. He is totally isolated from reality. Everything he sees and hears is carefully controlled by his staff.

      2. This is a ‘person’ who does not read….he gets everything from social media and FOX News…..as well as the ass kissers that surround him….what a guy? chuq

      3. In that he is a lot like a large number of US citizens who only follow extremely biased “news” sources that tend to support their own personal beliefs. Any sources that present information that disagree with their opinions are ignored, labeled as “fake”, etc. One of the classic methods used by dictatorships and religious cults is to try to restrict the information their followers can obtain to only those sources they approve of. That’s been a standard GOP ploy for decades now.

      4. Indeed my first memory of the GOP and their ‘dirty’ tactics was Reagan…..and they are going downhill ever since. chuq

      5. A lot of people point to Nixon as the beginning of the GOP taking a hard turn into extremism and even fascism, but I don’t think that’s true. Nixon was more of an aberration, not a symptom. I’d agree that it was the Reagan administration when things started to go seriously wrong. There are actually a lot of parallels between Reagan and Trump. Both are not very intelligent, both have huge egos. both had no idea how government actually operates. both are easily manipulated by those around them, and both suffering from dementia and about as far removed from reality as one can get and still be breathing.

It was during the Reagan administration when the party began this policy of not permitting any dissent within the ranks no matter what. If you didn’t adhere to the party line. no matter how foul, no matter how sadistic, no matter how corrupt it might be, you’d find your campaign funding cut off, the party withdrawing all support and throwing its support behind candidates who would blindly do whatever the party leadership demanded.
