It was yet another week of silliness that does absolutely nothing to make America great again….Donny had an exceptionally incoherent week.
The week was full of those demanding issues like sugar in Coke…..and silencing critics….to rename a building….all things that will go a long way in keep us great.

“He has these think tanks. The build buildings for people who think. It’s really not thinking. It’s a little bit of a combination of thinking. It’s something you sort have or don’t have… He ought to raise interest rates,” the president said.
“Trump thinks that ‘Think Tanks’ are actual tanks. Am I following this? Or is his dementia rubbing off?” wrote one X user. “Does… does he think think tanks literally work out of tanks?” added another.

President Donald Trump has set his sights on a new linguistic enemy. While speaking at an artificial intelligence summit Wednesday, Trump realized mid-thought that he doesn’t like the word “artificial” at all. “I can’t stand it. I don’t even like the name,” the 79-year-old president said. ”You know, I don’t like anything that’s artificial so could we straighten that out please?” he asked, pointing to someone in the audience. “We should change the name.” As disbelieving laughter rippled through the room, Trump insisted, “I actually mean that—I don’t like the name ‘artificial’ anything.” He then offered an alternative—one he often uses to describe himself: “It’s not artificial. It’s genius. It’s pure genius.” Trump—who in January renamed the “Gulf of Mexico” to “Gulf of America” for federal agencies—signed three executive orders aimed at deregulating AI, which he called “one of the most important technological revolutions in the history of the world.” One executive order also targets what Trump called “woke” AI. During his speech, he accused the Biden administration of trying to “regulate and restrict A.I.” in order to ”centralize it, censor it, control it, weaponize it.”

Most of our cities have a homeless problem and now the idiot in charge has a plan…..
City and state officials will now have more power to forcibly hospitalize homeless people experiencing mental illness or addiction, thanks to a new executive order.
The order, which President Trump signed Thursday afternoon, advises local and state officials to forcibly commit individuals to long-term treatment facilities if they “pose risks to themselves or the public or are living on the streets and cannot care for themselves.” The president wrote that doing so will “restore public order.”
“Endemic vagrancy, disorderly behavior, sudden confrontations, and violent attacks have made our cities unsafe,” the order reads in part.
However, experts say Trump’s strategy of forcing people into mental health facilities won’t do much to quell the country’s unhoused crisis.
In a Thursday press release, the National Homelessness Law Center warned Trump’s order was “rooted in outdated, racist myths” and “deprives people of their basic rights.”
“Instead of helping people who are struggling to make ends meet, Donald Trump remains focused on backwards, expensive, and ineffective policies that make homelessness worse,” the statement read in part.
Most of the reports I see and hear the violence is committed against the homeless by the wonderful p0eople of this country.
They are NOT sick….they are homeless!

President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that “we’ll have a straight, simple tariff of anywhere between 15% and 50%.” Hiking the baseline reciprocal tariff rate to 15 percent means a 50 percent higher tax on American manufacturers and consumers than Trump originally promised.
The president announced his so-called reciprocal tariffs via his “Liberation Day” executive order on April 2. This order set the baseline rate at 10 percent, but Trump’s Wednesday remarks suggest that “he would not go below 15% as he sets so-called reciprocal tariff rates ahead of an Aug. 1 deadline,” according to Bloomberg.
Though the Trump administration has offered conflicting justifications for the president’s tariffs, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has long referred to them as a “negotiating strategy” and said the U.S. was willing “to go down to a 10% baseline tariff for [every country in the world who wants to come and negotiate].” White House trade adviser Peter Navarro said in April that the administration would “run 90 deals in 90 days.”

A Venezuelan baseball team will not be able to compete in this year’s Little League Senior Baseball World Series after it was denied visas into the United States.
Last month, President Donald Trump unveiled a travel ban to the U.S. on 12 other countries — with athletes slated to compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup expected to be exempt from the restrictions.
Unfortunately for the Cacique Mara team based in Maracaibo, Venezuela, they were not given the same preferential treatment. And they are not the only team to miss out on a major international competition as a result of United States border policy.
According to the Little League International, the club was unable to secure the required documents needed to enter the United States.

The Trump administration has chosen to burn almost $10 million worth of contraceptives rather than send them to poor nations, according to Reuters. Sources told the outlet that the U.S. government rejected offers from the United Nations and aid groups to help distribute the supplies, which include contraceptive implants, pills, and intrauterine devices. They had been sitting in a warehouse in Belgium since January following Trump’s decision to freeze all foreign aid and shut down the U.S. Agency for International Development. The government will now spend around $160,000 to incinerate all $9.7 million worth of supplies at a facility in France. The Belgian Foreign Ministry stated that it had explored “all possible options to prevent the destruction” with U.S. authorities, to no avail. “Nevertheless, Belgium continues to actively seek solutions to avoid this regrettable outcome,” it said in a statement Tuesday, adding that “sexual and reproductive health must not be subject to ideological constraints.” Associate director of advocacy at MSI Reproductive Choices, Sarah Shaw, said that the government rejected the nonprofit’s offer to “pay for repackaging, shipping, and import duties.” “This is clearly not about saving money. It feels more like an ideological assault on reproductive rights, and one that is already harming women,” she said.

The Trump administration has officially scrapped an Obama-era plan that would have imposed speed limits on large trucks and buses nationwide, reports USA Today, shelving a proposal that had been in the works since 2016. The original idea was to use electronic devices called governors to cap the speed of vehicles weighing more than 26,000 pounds at somewhere between 60mph and 68mph, with the intention of reducing crash severity, saving lives, and cutting fuel and emissions costs.
Proponents of the speed cap, including federal regulators during Obama’s tenure, argued it could save between 63 and 214 lives annually while netting drivers more than $800 million in savings. But the plan met resistance from the trucking industry, drivers, and several states, many of which saw it as a violation of their rights to set local speed limits. Upward of 15,000 public comments opposed the move.
Trump officials cited concerns that mandatory speed limits would increase trucking costs, slow deliveries, worsen driver pay, and potentially push more trucks onto side roads, creating new safety and congestion problems. They also noted that improved safety technologies—such as radar-assisted emergency braking—have emerged since the proposal was first introduced. Further, the DOT last month expressed concern that “mandating speed limiters on heavy-duty trucks isn’t just an inconvenience—it is a safety hazard when drivers are forced to go slower than the flow of traffic,” per the Telegraph.
