Another week of absolutely batcrap crazy stuff oozing out of DC….it seems to get worse and more authoritarian by the week.

For me the most disturbing idea from the tiny brain of Little Donny was an idea to control a major city by the government.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday his administration was considering taking over governance of Washington, D.C., and suggested he could take similar action in New York because of his distaste for the leading candidate for mayor there.

Trump has made a similar threat regarding Washington before, but has not followed through even as he criticized crime rates and bashed other institutions there.

The president, speaking during a cabinet meeting at the White House, said his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, was in close touch with Mayor Muriel Bowser, who favors making the city a U.S. state.

“We have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to. We could run D.C. I mean, we’re … looking at D.C.,” Trump said. “Susie Wiles is working very closely with the mayor.”

Bowser’s office declined to comment.

The District of Columbia was established in 1790 with land from neighboring Virginia and Maryland. Congress has control of its budget, but voters elect a mayor and city council, thanks to a law known as the Home Rule Act. For Trump to take over the city, Congress likely would have to pass a law revoking that act, which Trump would have to sign.

First, the supposed “Witch Hunt” against his friend Jair Bolsonaro, the right-wing former president of Brazil, who is currently being prosecuted for allegedly initiating a coup following his electoral loss in 2022.

Second, recent rulings by Brazil’s Supreme Court have sought to cast greater responsibility for content moderation on social media companies.

And, third, a supposed trade deficit with Brazil caused by “many years of Brazil’s Tariff, and Non-Tariff, Policies and Trade Barriers.”

Rosie O’Donnell moved to Ireland days before President Trump began his second term—and Trump, who has been feuding with her for almost 20 years, doesn’t want her to come back to America. In a post on Truth Social on Saturday morning, the president threatened to revoke her citizenship, though he doesn’t have the authority to take away the citizenship of somebody born in the US, Deadline reports.

• “Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,” Trump wrote. “She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her.”
• “US citizens can relinquish their citizenship voluntarily, and federal courts can strip naturalized citizens of their citizenship if there is proven fraud or misrepresentation or other major cause,” said Julia Gelatt of the Migration Policy Institute, per the New York Times. “But US-born citizens cannot have their citizenship taken away.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced this week that she plans to introduce a bill that would make weather modification a felony offense.

The Georgia Republican wants to ban “the injection, release, or dispersion of chemicals or substances into the atmosphere for the express purpose of altering weather, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity.” Greene said anyone who does this would face serious criminal charges.

Greene has not been shy about her views on weather modification in the past. She has suggested that certain political groups might be using technology to control the weather. Her new bill appears to be a response to these long-held beliefs about government weather programs.

President Donald Trump‘s Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins spoke today with GOP governors including Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders about how the administration plans to “protect U.S. agriculture from foreign threats.”

As seen below, Rollins addressed the deportation of undocumented farm laborers. She said: “There will be no amnesty. The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way. And we move the workforce towards automation and 100% American participation, which again with 34 million people, able-bodied adults on Medicaid, we should be able to do that fairly quickly.”

Six Republican members of Congress from Wisconsin and Minnesota have sent a letter to Canada’s ambassador, complaining that smoke from Canadian wildfires is drifting south and spoiling outdoor summer activities for their constituents. The lawmakers, including House Majority Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota, say residents are dealing with “suffocating” smoke and dangerous air quality, limiting their ability to spend time outdoors, per the BBC. The letter—also signed by Minnesota Reps. Brad Finstad, Pete Stauber, and Michelle Fischbach, and Wisconsin Reps. Tom Tiffany and Glenn Grothman—asks the Canadian government what steps it plans to take to mitigate wildfires and the resulting smoke.

The lawmakers also criticize what they see as Canada’s “lack of active forest management.” “With all the technology that we have at our disposal, both in preventing and fighting wildfires, this worrisome trend can be reversed if proper action is taken,” the letter states, per Global News.

An “anti-government militia” called ‘Veterans on Patrol’ told News 9 on Tuesday that it is “targeting” Oklahoma weather radars, days after an individual vandalized News 9’s weather radar. 

The group, which the Southern Poverty Law Center called an “anti-government militia,” shared with News 9 that they believe weather radars control the weather.

In an interview, News 9 asked Michael Lewis Arthur Meyer, the founder of Veterans On Patrol:

“Is it true that Veterans On Patrol [is] targeting Oklahoma Weather Radars?”

“Absolutely,” Meyers responded.

News 9 confirmed that a sign posted near an Oklahoma weather radar warns that Doppler radars are being targeted.
