Any comic book nerd will understand what the word “Bizzaro” means….for those that are not so sharp then….it is a world where everything is polar opposite of this world……that is as simple as I can boil it down…..
2016 has been a year that makes one think of “Bizzaro”….politics not DC Comics……
International politics increasingly feels like it is taking place in Bizarro World, the fictional planet depicted in a series of comic books first published by DC Comics in the 1960s.
In Bizarro World, everything is inverted. The planet is a cube rather than a sphere; the sun is blue rather than yellow; its inhabitants strive for imperfection rather than perfection. The world is named after Bizarro, an inverted version of Superman who was created in a lab accident and wears a backwards “S” on his chest.
Bizarro World achieved some fame in the 1990s when it furnished the premise for an episode of the TV comedy, Seinfeld, featuring Bizarro versions of the central characters, Jerry, George and Kramer. But as an explanatory device it has come into its own only in the past year.
Consider the evidence. In the US, it seems as if Bizarro himself is running for president. The nominee for president of the Republicans — the party of Lincoln, Eisenhower and Reagan — is Donald Trump.

Is this election season a once in a lifetime fluke that you can tell your grand kids about or is it the new normal?
The results of this election will make us all weep for the future….period!
Trump reminds me of Captain Marvel is we want to make comparisons to comic book characters and he is running against Gravel Girtie of Dick Tracy fame. — https://www.google.com/search?q=captain+marvel&client=opera&hs=ahc&tbm=isch&imgil=pBSOJKxoMby25M%253A%253BjK0P0IKJehl67M%253Bhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fen.wikipedia.org%25252Fwiki%25252FCaptain_Marvel_(DC_Comics)&source=iu&pf=m&fir=pBSOJKxoMby25M%253A%252CjK0P0IKJehl67M%252C_&usg=__bsnb38xr6wqp6QEpdGuC_26273g%3D&biw=1536&bih=731&ved=0ahUKEwjcrc_pvYXQAhVBRiYKHWz2Cb8QyjcIqwE&ei=9nMXWNzaHcGMmQHs7Kf4Cw#imgdii=pBSOJKxoMby25M%3A%3BpBSOJKxoMby25M%3A%3BmwT_Lqhb-TI0QM%3A&imgrc=pBSOJKxoMby25M%3A and Gravel Girty: https://www.google.com/search?q=gravel+gertie&client=opera&hs=r3H&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjg2MOYvoXQAhUDwiYKHZZLC2wQsAQIJw&biw=1536&bih=731&dpr=1.25
A comic book nerd…go figure….LOL
Comic Book “Hero.”
Go figure…LOL
Reblogged this on saywhatumean2say and commented:
So sadly very true and not only Bizzaro but tres’ Wagnerian too.
Either way it goes we’ll have the Twilight of the Gods with; incest, rape, treachery, lies, betrayal, murder, and Oooo dem war babies the Valkyries.
I think Trump sees himself as Siegfried and Clinton can be whatever Valkyrie she wants. Probably all of them rolled into one.
If Wagner is not really your cuppa….shall we visit Biblical Revelations or some Greek Mythology? Those stories have all the same elements including wars and rumors of wars. ~~dru~~
Maybe a good Greek tragedy….Wagner is too regimented for me…..thanx for the re-blog….chuq
“Insanity — a perfectly rational adjustment to an insane world.” — R. D. Lang
It’s not surprising to me to know the world is insane; it would be hard to say otherwise, in a world whose leading figures are all narcissistic sociopaths. Indeed, given the nature of humanity, as exemplified throughout our entire history by the consistent presence of conflict and war, with the naturally occurring injustices that accompany such behaviors, how could it be otherwise?…. Silly monkeys, think they’re so slick….
What else would we finally come to, but a comic book ending?
gigoid, the dubious
Insanity is the only way to handle reality….chuq
