Is Donald Dead(Politically)?

That is a metaphoric question…..so do not start some silly bullshit…..try reading before you jump to conclusions….just a suggestion.

I need to state for the record that I am in NO way a supporter of this person and this is NOT an endorsement……..

Do not start to count him out….there is much not known, Horatio.

Last week there surfaced a tape with Mr. Trump being a macho dick….and the media went batcrap crazy…..and the polls are showing he is losing support (regardless what the toads in his campaign want you to believe)……but is he dead for the election(politically)?

But first…..I have been getting a bit of grief because I am leaning toward Stein in this election….and they all drag out the old 2000 example….if I vote for a third party I will be giving the White House to Trump…..a little too simplistic for my thoughts…..the Clinton people are already looking for a scapegoat in case they somehow fuck up and lose the election…..not that the Trump camp is not doing the same thing……..looking for those scapegoats.

I think the hardcore Dems need to worry about something else….a little closer to home…..lazy voters!

A Reuters analysis suggests an odd problem for Hillary Clinton: overconfidence among her supporters may lead them to skip Election Day altogether. With Donald Trump dealing with GOP defections and slipping poll numbers in the wake of his hot mic scandal, the prospect of depressed Democratic turnout is a real one, writes James Oliphant. He phrases the matter this way: “Opinion polls show that many voters are backing Clinton primarily to stop Trump, the Republican nominee, from getting into the White House. If they believe he has no hope of winning, then what would their motivation be to turn up at the polls?”

The issue could be a problem for Democrats in crucial swing states, and it could haunt Clinton even if she wins the election—a small margin of victory would make her ability to govern that much harder, writes Oliphant. A post at conservative PJ Media sees “a kernel of validity” in the theory, but says it highlights a much bigger problem for Clinton: “She’s not inspiring even Democrats. The media is focusing on dissension within the GOP ranks and electorate, but they completely ignore the fact that the other side isn’t exactly singing in the streets over its nominee.”

That is right….overconfident Dem voters may not vote…….but I will catch Hell from the mindless for my vote……….

Me?  I am still thinking Green.

A Few Pre-Election Thoughts

As the 2016 election draws to a close(less than a month) I find myself weary of all the crap around the two campaigns…..now it is just seeing who can be the most absurd or the most nasty toward their opponent.

This is the time when I shutdown from watching anything about the campaigns….both are completely ridiculous.

So while I cannot avoid the campaigns I will from time to time issue some thoughts on the race……

Today is a couple of presses about the two……

It is NO secret that I think Clinton, like her hubby before, is the worse person for the presidency because she is a war hawk and will thrust this country into more and more conflicts…..

Never before were the two leading presidential candidates so disliked. Both major parties have nominated candidates that most Americans desperately want to reject.

There many reasons to oppose Hillary Clinton: a history of scandal, reaching back to Bill Clinton’s Arkansas governorship; greedy, grasping friendships with economic elites; and brutal partisan war against political opponents. She is smart, competent, and experienced, but so were Richard Nixon and Richard Cheney. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that she would put her virtues to good use as president. She almost certainly would lead America into more foolish wars. About the only reason to hope for a Clinton victory is her flawed opponent, Donald Trump.

When I am doing research into a subject that I do not have a command of I use two sources to get started…..a book series entitle “A Very Short Introduction…..”, it gives a basic knowledge of the subject and I can proceed from there….I also use the series “……For Dummies”……both are a good way to get a working knowledge of a subject…..

You will see shortly why I brought up that small fact…..

Now for the Trump side of the equation…….before anyone gets upset and starts some diatribe….I would like to say….,this piece is skewed against Trump (at least I am honest to point that out beforehand)……..

The only way to really understand Donald Trump is to think of him as a Frankenstein creation.

That is Trump the Political Phenomenon. Not necessarily Trump the Person.

He is crude, mean, and lewd. So offensive that we can turn to members of his own party to describe his faults. Senator Lindsey Graham called him a “race baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot”.

Dangerous New ‘Group Think’

This election has shown me that there is a new “group think” in DC…..daily the media is pushing the story that Russia is the same out of control bear that it was during the Cold War…..and everyone is buying into the propaganda….

Look at today….we are told that our intel gatherers have high confidence that Russia is behind the DCCC hack attack…..my question is…is this the same high confidence that we had on Iraq’s WMDs?

Not since the eve of the U.S. invasion of Iraq has Official Washington’s political/punditry class clamored more single-mindedly – and openly – for the U.S. government to commit a gross violation of international law, now urging a major military assault on the government of Syria while also escalating tensions with nuclear-armed Russia.

And, like the frenzied war fever of 2002-2003, today’s lawless consensus is operating on a mix of selective, dubious and false information – while excluding from the public debate voices that might dare challenge the prevailing “group think.” It’s as if nothing was learned from the previous disaster in Iraq.

After the lies told by the government since 1960’s….I remain leery of their “findings”…..they will lie and deceive to get what they want…..and what they want these days is an enemy Russia.

The idea of an “enemy” is nothing new…..the stretch and the push on Russia is…..to the point that ISIS and the War on Terror has taken a backseat….that is until there is another attack and then it will be full tilt boogie against ISIS….

Are Humans Natural-Born Killers?

As I write about the different conflicts around the world I am always getting comments about the nature of the people and of humans in specific…..some think that it is an inevitability that human are driven to violence and killing….

Among scientists there has been a long debate about whether human violence toward other humans is inherent, cultural or a mix of both. The question is: Are we natural-born killers?

A new study, published in the journal Nature and entitled “The Phylogenetic Roots of Human Lethal Violence,” argues two points: (1) along with many other mammals and particularly primates, human lethal violence is innate because it is part of a long “evolutionary history”; and (2) for humans, however, it is also a behavior that is responsive to our cultural environment. So, over time, “culture modulates our bloodthirsty tendencies.”

What is particularly original about this study is that it places human violence against the backdrop of general mammalian and primate lethal behavior. The researchers found that there is a correlation between the level of intra-group violence of those species that lie close to each other on the evolutionary tree.
