I good friend of IST and a supporter of Trump has been writing for awhile about the possibility of the election may be “stolen” from Trump. He also has been saying that the Lamestream Media, as he calls it, has a decidedly anti-Trump bias….I can see where he could think that, after all he is a Trump supporter and his candidate has had a couple of really shitty weeks…..beyond that I can see where that sort of thinking can come from……
Right now his problems are all “he said, she said”…..and I have a problem with that no matter which side is uttering it.
I also read The American Conservative (is anyone shocked?)….and a recent article in the magazine has asked this very question……
Mollie Hemingway is no fan of Donald Trump. She says he deserves the public roasting that he’s getting for his lecherous behavior. But she finds it more than a little suspicious that despite Trump’s known reputation as an alpha male sexual aggressor, the news media didn’t manage to turn up any of this stuff until right here in the final weeks of the election.

Regardless of your opinion of the candidate….do you think that the media has an anti-Trump bias?
All anyone has to do is watch and listen to every broadcast on the airwaves and sooner or later somewhere in the broadcast the emphasis will switch to what Trump did, why it was wrong, how people are bad mouthing him how he is losing the election, how the polls are all against him … it’s all negative toward trump and either silent altogether or promotive (By direct quote or by insinuation or suggestion) of Hillary …. It is very obvious to anyone who watches and listens. There are even newspapers breaking with tradition and publishing their support of Hillary –Newspapers never used to do that … when I was a lot younger it was forbidden for any on-air commentator to editorialize the news content … Walter Cronkite was one of the first to break with that tradition during the Kennedy Administration and he only did it once and was called out for it by both the public and the stations carrying the broadcast. Yes, there is very definitely a harsh, continuing, relentless and obvious media campaign against Trump and I am not talking about just the paid ads either. I am talking about talk shows, news broadcasts — the whole shebang — and people are noticing. People are noticing for example what the Clinton News Network is doing … and others.
They need to stick to the facts….leave the hearsay for smaller minds….there is a need to address issues with 3 weeks left to go…
That is a nice thought but I don’t think it addresses the question as to whether there is a Media effort to degrade Trump. I do agree with you here but we were talking about the Media and it’s treatment of Trump.
From some then yes it is….and from others it is against Clinton….like I said hearsay…I will not do hearsay…..
It isn’t hearsay when you are staring it straight in the face and understanding what is happening. There is nothing hearsay about that at all!
We are talking about 2 different things…I said there is bias….I am talking about all this BS about women….without proof it is hearsay.
I like it when NBC News comes on and shoots off it’s mouth about all this stuff and then says, “But NBC has been unable to corroborate any of the allegations …” If they can’t corroborate them then why broadcast them a thousand times a week?
Exactly…..that is gossip and we know what I think of unsubstantiated crap….CNN is bad… even FOX maybe not on Trump but others….I do not post most times as you may have noticed…
I have noticed.
THat is just me…..I do have my principles…I may think a person is a dick but I will not condemn on hearsay…
Commendable

Not at all. The media has put that BUFFOON in the position he finds himself in today: running for office
It’s just too bad it took them until now to act of their past non-investigative reporting of him.
Still smiling… the answer to the title question would properly be, “One may hope so…”
The real issue is that actions like his, and any other ‘alpha male’ misbehavior, is passed over CULTURALLY. The process for ignoring rape, child molesting, sexual and/or physical abuse, of all kinds, against women, children, and animals, has been ingrained into every member of society, and that ingrained blind prejudice, formed in every public interaction with other people, extends to the news media, and not just the Main, or Lame, stream, but, virtually ALL sources of news. You can find the truth, but, it becomes too much of a chore, and a depressing one for almost everyone, so, it gets put into that category of things ‘we don’t think about’….
The election process merely offers the opportunity to use the fake outrage as a political tool, making it just one more layer of disgusting dishonesty, which characterizes any political process.
gigoid, the dubious
I think that the media kinda realized they let the ball drop and are trying to pick it back up!
The media has control of the ball…if it dropped it was probably by design…
