There are some in the population that are setting the stage for a presidential loss by hook or crook…….it is always in the wings to be used as an excuse for losing or for having a terrible candidate.
Despite hacking threat, several states use machines without paper back-ups that can be checked against computer tallies.
One month before the vote, and down in nearly every national poll, Donald Trump keeps telling his followers this election is “rigged”.
While he offers no evidence, a new poll indicates that half his supporters have little or no confidence that the election will be conducted fairly.
So he’s asking volunteers to act as election “observers” to look out for fraud.
Meanwhile, 16 states now demand photo identification from voters, like my own battleground state of Virginia, where a Republican legislature has adopted that requirement for the first time in a presidential election.
But a study found only 31 credible incidents of voter impersonation – the only category of fraud that photo ID could possibly prevent – over a 14-year period with over a billion votes cast. (a fact that will be ignored because it does not fit the tale they are wanting)

The voter infrastructure is as aged and as vulnerable as our electric infrastructure….but that does not matter as long as they can find a way to make the election questionable.
Ever election the American people get more pathetic in what they are willing to believe with proof.
The US Presidential election is akin to the Tender process. So, shareholders (White Corporate America aka The Clinton Foundation) will win. It’s a simple market really.
We must remember that Trump is an ex-democrat and an old friend of the Clintons. If Trump wins, I think the Clintons will still have won. I think this is one of the most cleverly contrived ruses in American electoral history.
I concur.
I am old now and I have never seen an American election yet where the loser does not — at one time or another — start screaming that the election was stolen or that it was unfair or that it was rigged — blah blah blah. There is nothing new with this. This has gone on since the first election was ever held. It will go on as long as there is such a thing as an election.
I cannot remember that especially when we had real people running for office…they accept they lost and moved on…only today and the silly people that have to find an excuse
True that!
SIGH…. What makes anyone think our elections have EVER been completely without questionable tactics? The junior shrub won both his elections due to electronic hacks, focusing on the critical states where the actual decision was made (Florida the 1st time; Ohio the 2nd time). The investigation (by the US Attorney’s Office) into the second time was just about to begin, in September of 2001, when the twin towers were detonated to distract the public from the revelations being made at that time. And the rest, as they say, is now history….
It isn’t a conspiracy theory; it’s observable fact; all the evidence is in the public record.
gigoid, the dubious
I am still working on all the theories about 9/11….most of them I just snicker and move on…..you are right from the 1800’s there have been questionable tactics…it is the American way..chuq
