For a week now there has been a mash up in the Western media about the Saudi execution of a Shia cleric……there has been a wealth of opinions for what this event will do to the Middle East…..most of which center around the sectarian division between the Sunni and the Shia…..

There will be little interest in this event until it spirals out of control and then everyone with a keyboard will voice an opinion…..

Is it possible that there is more to this situation than the sectarian?
