Back during the early days of the 2004 campaigns I was a supporter of Wes Clark for president…..unfortunately his message got lost in the rhetoric of the day……
But recently I read an interview with Clark on the “Lone Wolf” syndrome that is invading the American mindset…….I thoroughly disagree with his assertion…..
With all the Lone Wolf attacks we have been experiencing….people re looking for a solution to the problem and Clark thinks he has the answer……
Frightening Proposal to Intern Muslim Citizens | Al Jazeera America.
If you will recall the Charlie Hedo shooters were radicalized in jail……..if you put these people together and they will become more radicalized than they were before they went in…….and the hardcore will have willing converts to make more radical…….
This is NOT a good idea……I would like to hear what my readers have to say about this situation…..
Please sound off!
Reblogged this on OK, Fine. and commented:
Re-posted from “In Saner Thought:” Democrat Wes Clark recently said about Muslims, “(I)t’s our right and obligation to segregate them from the normal community for the duration of the conflict.”
Is Clark going over-the-top by suggesting internment camps for Muslims?
FEMA camps for Muslims?
This is total BS……..prison is not a plce to put someone for de-radicalization…..
Reblogged this on culvernaters truth seeking.
Thanx for the re-blog….chuq
I’m appalled! If I was imprisoned for my religion, I’d become radicalized too. dru
Kinda makes me think of the thought police…….prison for what you think…..
People will compare these camps to Japanese Interment Camps of WW2, as if that’s somehow puts it in a positive light. (Which shows you how far we’ve already slid.)
I laugh at America’s attitude toward Japanese Interment Camps. First, it’s never brought up. But when it is, you get “Okay, so it was a tad racist. But we had a good excuse. Those yellow bastards were out to kill us all.” (See how easily history repeats itself?)
There’s this ridiculous Grand Canyon sized gap in America’s mind between WW2 Japanese internment camps and Germany’s Concentration Camps, as if they were any different. German Concentration camps started off collecting people of any race for doing political shit the Nazis didn’t like. (unions, commie agitators, etc ) Then it expanded from objective (actions) to subjective (“possible threats”). As the years passed, they got increasingly “less concerned” as to whether or not candidates met the criteria and started opening up the doors to ALL members of certain races, political parties, sexual orientations, etc. Basically, anybody the government didn’t like had a spot saved.
Meanwhile, America went straight to rounding up every member of a race. What people forget is that Germany’s camps had almost a 10 year head start on America’s camps. And it took 6-7 years before the Nazis got into the extermination business. Before that, just like in the American camps, campers just died “from their own weakness” or because of “overzealous, patriotic, guards”. Because American camps didn’t last nearly as long, we’ll never know what they’d have looked like after 10 years. But had mainland America gone on to be hit by the Yellow Peril, I’d all but guarantee those campers would have started suffering from lethal “gas cooker” accidents, if you know what I mean.
The Concentration Camps some Americans are proposing today are actually more frightening than WW2’s. Yet they’ll be even less effective. They’ll start with folks they magically determine to be radical Muslims. Over time the threshold for “radical” will lower. Camp membership will also grow beyond Muslims. Eventually, all Muslims, folks from Muslim nations and all “radical” political opposition will have a bunk in these (private-for-profit?) Concentrations Camps. Will Death Camps follow? Well…if this war-without-end goes on long enough and if armed kooks keep shooting up America, yes! Because neither of these two “reasons” driving the camps are going to stop.
So, if these Concentration Camps start, they almost certainly will include an extermination component at some point.
As for effectiveness, it will be not only be less effective, it will fuel hostility. Japanese Americans were a pretty loyal, passive, bunch who liked to obey authority. Muslims, especially from war-torn regions? Not so much.
Besides, everybody knows that if you put a con in con-college, he graduates with more skills and a worse attitude. But somehow, these fucktards think putting them in camps will be a positive experience, like this

But you think anybody learns anything from being put in prison camps? No. These guys have spent have their lives in jail and this is the closest to “learning” anything they’ve gotten.

and check out the (very relevant) “book learning” forced upon them and its lack of effect.

So, right off the bat, this just ain’t gonna work. But it will make everybody feel safer.
That is what they are shooting for….make everyone feel safe. They spend time making us afraid so they feel they must do something to make us feel safe…..
I agree this is a bonehead idea……kinda like the thought police…..prison for thinking about it……guilty by association….
I would expect better from Clark….chuq
