100 years ago this year there was a situation that has been a bone of contention for all of those 100 years…..
The Ottoman Empire took it upon themselves to remove the Armenians from the territory……some have called it genocide others ethnic cleansing and even others use a milder term…..deportation…….

As Erdogan wants to revive the Ottoman Empire and make his own one “a modern one”in the Near East he could start by recognizing the armenian genocide, two millions of Armenians living in the nowadays Turkish borders were killed as trying to establish the Turkey of today unfortunately
And then again when the Turkish troops were withdrawing from a battle on the Eastern Front during WW1…..even the US will not admit it was genocide…..
What a terrible thing – it reminds me of the “Holodomor,” another little-known European genocide – which happened in Ukraine.
