No secret that I feel that our foreign policy mavens are at best comedians……and it would be humorous if it were not so damn ignorant…..
We have a situation in Yemen….in case you missed it while worrying about Jay Z’s new album…..there has been an uprising by the minority Houthis in Yemen against the standing government…….Saudi Arabia did not like how well the Houthi were advancing……so to prevent them from advancing more the Saudis took it upon themselves to strike…..after beginning the strikes they set about proving that Iran was supplying the Houthi rebels……all is not going as planned by the Saudis….the Houthi are still making head way inspite of the constant airstrikes…..to cover their butts they need Israel to help make the case of the interference of Iran…….apparently they made the case….to the point that John Kerry had to chime in…….

“There have been — there are, obviously — flights coming from Iran. Every single week there are flights from Iran and we’ve traced it and know this,” he told PBS television.
“Iran needs to recognise that the United States is not going to stand by while the region is destabilised or while people engage in overt warfare across lines, international boundaries in other countries.”

It is amazing that people can even say such blatantly stupid crap! They never consider that it was the US that destabilized the region to make these actions possible.
This is why I keep harping on the old fart policies of the past will NEVER find solution for the Middle East……time to find people who can think outside of the think tank box we put ourselves into……
There will never be a solution for The Middle East because all their difficulties are based on traditional conflicts that haven’t been settled for centuries and because killing each other over arguments is in their DNA.
Funny how these despots can calm a situation down……maybe we should rethink this traditional democracy thingy…..Kerry is still a tool…..
Maybe we should just tend to our own knitting and deal with any threat when it lands on our doorstep like we used to do when our greatness in the world and our power was unquestioned —- and when we won wars when we got involved.
I do not know if isolationism would be good….but Hell why not try it and see if it could work?
If I’m not mistaken, there was a small unwritten rule about the Middle East: if one tries to fix it, especially if a Westerner, one inevitably ends up messing things up even more…

Obama/Kerry have turned contradiction and counter production and inconsistency into an art form. They are magnificent at dancing all around the facts. Iran will never compromise its desire to make the bomb.
Every admin since Ike has had to please the defense industry……and these people need to realize that people like me watch for every chance to point out their hypocrisy…..like McCain when he said the “civilized nations do not attack other countries”…said when Russia attacked Georgia and after the US just attacked Iraq….I mean stupid is stupid…..maybe they should find a way to re-word their idiocy….chuq
