Army Vet Gets The Treatment
It is Sunday and on the weekends I try to give my readers something a little different….science or astronomy or humor or…..well anything but political crap we focus on every week day…….but I read a piece about the treatment of an American vet I got outraged and this post is a result of that rage.
All those that know me know how pissed I get when people act in a disrespectfully way to a veteran……any vet deserves respect……we have enough faux patriotism……..people that know me know how much I hate people that buy a flag or a ribbon or some such ‘patriotic’ paraphernalia……that does nothing but put money in some greedy f*cks pocket……of these people really want to show respect then force your elected official to get up off their donors genitalia and force them to act in the name of America’s veterans.
I have NO sympathy for anyone that belittles or embarrass a veteran for whatever reason they want to give…..there is NO excuse for disrespect….and my feelings lead me to this piece of crap from US Air…they will NEVER see a dime of my money!
US Airways is trying to contain a PR mess over what passengers on a flight saw as a flagrant insult to an Army vet. As WSOC-TV in Charlotte, NC, reports, it started simply enough when First Sgt. Albert Marle asked a flight attendant if he could hang his heavily decorated military jacket in a closet during the flight. The attendant told him the closet was only for first-class passengers, and he went back to his seat. It might have ended there had nearby passengers not overhead and raised a ruckus on Twitter. Sample: “USAirways is it really in your policy to disrespect brave men such as Sergeant Marle?” tweeted first-class passenger Laura Kirby.
That tweet and others like it explaining what happened quickly went viral, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. Soon, the airline issued an apology: “We apologize for the situation and are reviewing the incident internally. We have a long and proud history of serving our military members and hold the men and women who serve our country in the highest regard.” The airline says the closet was full and the flight attendant had no choice, but passengers say if that was the case, she didn’t say so at the time. “I was really appalled at not only the way she looked at him but the way she spoke to him in an angry type of attitude,” Kirby’s husband, Brian, tells the Charlotte TV station. Marle himself hasn’t joined in the criticism.
This country owes these people, the vets, more than they could ever repay……the sad thing America does not even try to make things right….they have not cared for 40 years….there are Viet vets that are still waiting for this country to show them the respect they deserve……and I cannot see Americans doing much more for the most recent vets……
No one cares…they think a simple thank you is enough…it might be if vets did not know that it is only soothing a guilty conscience…….It is disgusting….and everyone should be ashamed of themselves for the treatment vets are subjected to in this society…..

Nigeria: Let’s Make A Deal
Back in the Summer there was a crisis that swept the social media sites…..it has since been replaced with the Ebola scare….but in the Summer 200+ school girls were kidnapped by a terrorist militia known as Boko Haram…..think back…it will come to you.
Since their kidnapping and a short social media phenom the r4est of the wold moved on…but back in Nigeria the families of the girls have been putting pressure on the government to do something….even of its wrong……
It seems that something has indeed been done…..
A rep for Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan says the country has reached a ceasefire deal with extremist group Boko Haram that secures the release of more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped in April, CNN reports. “[Boko Haram negotiators] assured that the schoolgirls and all other people in their captivity are all alive and well,” a spokesman said today, according to the AP. What’s still unclear is whether—if the deal really goes through—the girls are being exchanged for militant prisoners. Nigerian authorities had originally said they wouldn’t make such a deal, then seemed to switch course; rumors had been flying up until recently about ongoing negotiations regarding the possibility.
Skeptics still aren’t convinced, Yahoo News reports. They cite previous unkept promises, disbelief that the Boko Haram rep making the negotiations is credible, and the fact that it’s widely believed Jonathan will announce his re-election bid soon—meaning optimistic news like this could help his campaign. Boko Haram has been bombarding Nigeria with its terror tactics—including kidnapping, bombing, and the killing of political leaders—in an effort to force strict Sharia law upon the country’s people, notes CNN.
So far there has been NO real confirmation of this deal….but there is hope and prayers that it is true……

ISIS Coalition Situation Report (SITREP) #19
Good day and welcome to the briefing….today’s will be the last of the week….we will return Monday to catch everyone up on the situation.
On to the briefing……..
Item 1–finally we have a name for the US led coalition operation against ISIS……
After two months of airstrikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, the US-led coalition has a name: “Inherent Resolve.”
Interestingly, the name had previously been rejected for a multitude of reasons, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal two weeks ago.
That is such a crappy name. Personally I like my name for the operation…”we are making this shit up as we go”……..
Item 2–It seems that the defenders of Kobane are a bit tougher than the world gave them credit…….
A month into the ISIS push against the Kurdish border town of Kobani (Ayn al-Arab in Arabic), the Kurdish forces in the city are continuing to hold out, and have even made some progress.
Commanders of the Kurdish force say that they’ve driven ISIS out of parts of the town, and that they believe they can take back the “pockets of resistance” of the ISIS fighters elsewhere.
The battle on the ground appears to be very fluid…….this may be only a temporary success….we will be watching.
Item 3–After the admin had called the operation a success there came word of a different view……
Former Afghan War commander and President Obama’s point-man on the new ISIS War, retired General John Allen continued to offer assessments on the ongoing conflict, insisting today that it was too soon to say whether or not the US is winning the war.
That said, Allen conceded that ISIS is continuing to make “substantial gains” on the ground in Iraq, and still has “tactical momentum” in several areas around western Iraq.
The success or failure will be the last thing anyone will talk about…….
Item 4–As reported in these briefings…. Baghdad will be the BIG success of ISIS….the reports coming out…..
The Iraqi capital of Baghdad is not under imminent threat of falling to ISIS, according to US officials familiar with the defensive situation, but it’s far from business as usual with the Islamists fast approaching from the west.
As they approach, car bombs are becoming all the more common in the capital, with ISIS attacking police checkpoints and other security infrastructure with aggressive strikes.
But then the Pentagon had this to say……..
Unfortunately the Coalition needs to think of the consequences of inaction……Baghdad is the BIG prize for ISIS and the Caliphate….
Item 5–ISIS is stepping up its recruitment especially in Europe…..
Major General Walter Piatt, the commander of the US Army forces in Europe, today said the US is increasingly concerned by the “acceleration” of ISIS recruitment across the continent.
“It’s a concern … We’ve seen it all the way throughout Europe and it’s impossible to track every single person where they are,” Piatt noted, adding that there is a lot of “spillover” from the Syrian Civil War.
Item 6–There is a disturbing report coming out of Iraq but so far it has not been confirmed…….
BEIRUT (Reuters) – Iraqi pilots who have joined Islamic State in Syria are training members of the group to fly in three captured fighter jets, a group monitoring the war said on Friday, saying it was the first time that the militant group had taken to the air.
The group, which has seized land in Syria and Iraq, has been flying the planes over the captured al-Jarrah military airport east of Aleppo, said Rami Abdulrahman, who runs the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Maybe this should be a priority for airstrikes if proven to be accurate……

Oh My God………Could I Have Ebola?
The media and politicians have turned Americans into hypochondriacs….if they sneeze more than twice they may have the Ebola virus…..
I have tried to calm the fears of people……but alas….it has done NO good……..
Time for Americans to get a grip! This Ebola situation is an prime example of why if ever there would be an ‘end of life event’ the American public will NOT be told about it.
STOP listening to bullshit and……..

Ebola: Outbreak We Ignored
Yep, another post about Ebola! I mean why not? The whole damn country has gone bat shit crazy over the virus and I just did not want to be left out.
The public is borderline psychotic because there are a couple of people that have contracted the disease…….and then there is the media…..it is doing everything possible to keep the public crying for more….more….more…..to the point of offering up live pics of a patient walking in a hazmat suit….now that kept me on the edge of my seat for the 15 minutes it took to walk from ambulance to hospital door……
Back in August the first words of the virus came out of West Africa and from that point forward it has been front page news……and the lead story once an American got the disease and once they came back home it went into bat crap crazy mode from then until now……
There is a funny (in reality not so funny) thing that happened back in July of this year……….
The Ebola outbreak in West Africa shows no signs of slowing, having killed at least 4,447. Elsewhere in Africa, however, another outbreak of the virus is quietly winding down. It’s believed a different strain of Ebola first appeared in the Democratic Republic of Congo in late July: A pregnant woman who likely contracted it while butchering wild game died on Aug. 11 in the village of Ikanamongo, the Guardian reports. Though the virus spread, killing 49 of 69 known patients by the AP’s count, the last known case was reported some three weeks ago. The World Health Organization is now on the verge of declaring the outbreak fully contained—thanks in part to a speedy response.
A team headed by Jean-Jacques Muyembe was first on the scene. Muyembe, who responded to the first known outbreak in the country in 1976, saw the importance of keeping the virus from spreading to urban areas—which it has now done in the West African outbreak. However, as the mostly isolated DRC has seen at least seven Ebola outbreaks since 1976 and genetic testing reveals the latest strain is 99.2% similar to one that appeared in 1995, the country was well-prepared, LiveScience reports. Before this year, an outbreak had never occurred in Guinea, Liberia, or Sierra Leone, where civil conflict, a distrust of government, and well-connected towns and cities have helped Ebola spread
Ebola was a story that stirred some interest but once the American contracted the disease then it became the wrath of God….before that it was just some ‘typical’ tropical disease that only natives would get.
Sadly the first outbreak went unnoticed basically because it did not effect Americans…but once one of our own is so afflicted then it is balls to the walls and be damned if anyone gets in our way. In other words our typical overreaction.
