ISIS Coalition Situation Report (SITREP) #18

Good day and thanx for joining the briefing.

The good news is that the defenders of Kobane are holding their own against the onslaught of ISIS….,it appears that the airstrikes are at least giving the defenders a fighting chance for now.

On to the briefing…….

Item 1–Everybody is screaming that we need to support the Syrian rebels much mire and the we should be coordinating with them for a more effective airstrikes……but will the coalition do so?

Speaking to reporters today at the State Department, Gen. John Allen, who has been advising President Obama on his new war against ISIS, today revealed that the administration has no plans to ever coordinate with the Free Syrian Army (FSA) or any other of the existing rebel factions.

That’s a surprise, because officials have been harping on for years about how great these factions are, and have been lavishing them with US arms and funding.

Now the question is….why?

Item 2–ISIS may not be having much success with Kobane but it is another story in Iraq……

The latest Anbar Province town likely to come under siege from ISIS is the Fallujah suburb of Amariyat al-Fallujah, with reports tonight of ISIS fighters and tanks surrounding the town from several directions.

Yet with more and more of Anbar falling, ISIS seems willing to commit more resources to the siege this time, and having routed the Iraqi military out of virtually all of its bases in the area, it’s hard to see much help coming from the outside.

Anbar has become the focus of ISIS on the road to Baghdad…..

Item 3–There has been stories flowing around the web about ISIS having CWs………..

Islamic State militants do not appear to have seized any chemical weapons as they have rolled across Iraq and Syria, the Pentagon said Wednesday, as reports of U.S. troops’ exposure to chemical weapons during Washington’s last conflict in Iraq raised questions about the extremist group’s access to similar deadly agents.

“We have no indications right now that they have possession of those kinds of munitions,” Rear Adm. John Kirby, the Pentagon spokesman, told reporters.

Of course that is NO conciliation if you truly want to believe that they have these weapons…….

Item 4–Seems ISIS may have found a way to avoid being the casuality of an airstrike….for now……

Shafaq News / The Ministry of Peshmarga in Kurdistan Regional Government announced on Wednesday, that the terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria “ISIS” organization

have recently began using a new “tactic” in their fight in the areas of Kirkuk.

He said that the militants are wearing Peshmarga forces uniforms and Iraqi police to attack Peshmarga troops and avoid shelling of the coalition’s aircrafts

Item 5–Iraq while trying desperately to hold off ISIS is having a problem that could aid ISIS in its push to Baghdad…….

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi of Iraq, only a month in office, has been battling foes even closer to home: critics within his own party and the Shiite bloc it leads.

Among those nettling Mr. Abadi, several politicians said, is his predecessor, Nuri Kamal al-Maliki, who reluctantly agreed to cede the top post under pressure from the United States, Iran and the top Shiite clerics.

The political feuding threatens to undermine the Iraqi government at the moment it is trying to marshal resistance against the Islamic State, not to mention deal with a long list of other domestic crises, including a moribund economy, rampant government corruption and threats of Kurdish secession, Iraqi and international officials said.

Politics could be an ally for ISIS…….

Side Note:  Beheadings by ISIS was the beginning of the American approval of a return to Iraq and now Syria….but did you know that there are those that have committed the despicable act more than ISIS?

Since January of this year, 59 people have been beheaded in Saudi Arabia under the country’s antiquated legal system based primarily around sharia law.

Last month saw Saudi Arabia behead at least 8 people — twice the number of Western hostages who have so far featured in IS’s barbaric execution videos. In August those executed by Riyadh were sentenced to death for crimes such as apostasy, adultery and “sorcery.” In one case, four members of the same family were executed for “receiving large quantities of hashish,” a sentence imposed, according to Amnesty International, on the basis of “forced confessions extracted through torture.”

And yet they are our ally……..just a guess but I think it may have something to do with oil….huh?

I realize that the country is sweating heavily over the arrival of Ebola on our shores but there are somethings that need attention more….like the possibility of a return to Iraq and the Middle East.

That concludes today’s briefing…#18 is in the can!

Thanx for your time and attention.

All’s Well That Ends Like Crap!

News that should make people realize that McCain’s opinions are as worthless as tits on a boar!

How many times have you or your family heard that great American “patriot”, John McCain,  scream about the failure of the Obama administration for not coming to the aid of the rebels in their fight against Assad and now ISIS?  How many times?

From the beginning McCain has been yelling and ranting about the need to arm and supply the rebels….of course this coming from a senator that has been wrong on foreign policy for at least 20 years……….and he screamed about Libya, Georgia (the country not the state), Syria, etc….one rebellion after another…..he spent more time in front of the cameras than some news anchors….but what about his calls for arming rebels…….

When President Obama was trying to decide whether to arm rebels fighting the Syrian government, he asked the CIA to examine its long track record on such things. The review’s conclusion? It’s usually a waste of time and money—and sometimes only makes matters worse, reports the New York Times. The review looked back over the agency’s 67-year history and found that time and time again—from the Bay of Pigs, to the Sandinistas, to Somali warlords—providing arms to insurgent forces rarely had any significant effect on how things turned out.

That proved especially true if the US provided arms without having American personnel on the ground to provide guidance, as is the case with Syria. One notable exception: The CIA provided arms and training to Afghan rebels fighting the Soviet Union in the 1980s, and the rebels eventually drove the Soviets out. However, intelligence officers from Pakistan were on the ground helping the Afghan fighters. President Obama decided last month to provide limited assistance to Syrian rebels fighting ISIS, prompting a blogger at Firedog Lake to wonder, “What’s the point of commissioning a study just to ignore it?”

Once again McCain has proved that he is nothing but a political hack and still knows NOTHING about foreign policy.

Maybe now would be a good time to stop listening to McCain and giving him a platform to spout his ignorant rants……he proves time and time again to be a front man for the Military-Industrial Complex and not a good US senator……..

Whatcha think?

What Of World War 3?

This subject was brought to my attention on MasterAdrian’s weblog…..

Many people keep holding their breath that one of these bullah*t inventions will not lead to another world war……..

Because I study international relations, especially war, its causes and results,  I saw this piece and had to read to see what it was all about…….first, let me say I am dubious of this news….why?  It comes from WND which is noted for its extension of reality to the point of LIES!  It is a leading purveyor of conspiracy theories made up for consumption of nut jobs…….

The article begins………

With US politicians and the American media engaged in an increasingly acrimonious debate over the strategy guiding the latest US war in the Middle East, the United States Army has unveiled a new document entitled the Army Operating Concept (AOC), which provides a “vision of future armed conflict” that has the most ominous implications. It is the latest in a series of documents in which the Pentagon has elaborated the underlying strategy of preventive war that was unveiled in 1992—that is, the use of war as a means of destroying potential geopolitical and economic rivals before they acquire sufficient power to block American domination of the globe.

The document was formally released at this week’s Association of the United States Army (AUSA) conference, an annual event bringing together senior officers and Defense Department officials for a series of speeches and panel discussions, along with a giant trade show mounted by arms manufacturers to show off their latest weapons systems and pursue lucrative Pentagon contracts.

I checked out the article and you can read the entire piece from link below:

I went to the association of the United states Army to see their full report…..I found nothing that would be issued under the title of a “plan”……furthermore the original article was published by the World Socialist Web Site…..so these people will use the socialists to further there conspiracy crap…..interesting.

Any way the link below is to the Association of The United sates Army…you can look around…I could not confirm the study but I may have missed something……
