Opinion from the desk of the Editor:
There are two people with the Ebola virus and suddenly we have a global pandemic……and meanwhile there is a war being waged in the Middle East….the MSM is so damn transparent….this is to give the public something else to worry about…I mean how many worthless questions can be asked about 2 patients? At least they, the MSM, is not fixated on the nude pics of celebs….for now.
The most effective way to gain the support of the public is the use of the fear card…..it worked in 1991….it work in 2003 and it is working now with the newest flexing of American international muscle….and to focus away from a war is by giving them another fear to obsess over…..enter Ebola.
Me? I will stick with hitting people over the head about a war we did not need…….I am sure there are plenty of other blogs that will be obsessed over the virus if that is the direction you want to direct your fear….feel free to go there……For now I will be focused on an issue that will create more victims than the virus…..
Just when the need to strike into Syria the administration handed us, the people, a new more lethal bad guy….the Khorsan Group as it is called by our super dubber intel community…..they are poised to attack our country and rain down destruction……and as predicted….BAM! The American people jumped at the need to eliminate these guys……
I among others started doubting the existence of this group…….if they are part of AQ then why give them another designation? My writings were joined by others that called into the intel community for more info…..since their word is virtually worthless we demand more concrete info than just their word………
But as usual, we doubters are not worth the worry……..and the FBI joined into the full court press…….
In comments on today’s “60 Minutes” program, FBI Director James Comey warned that the Khorasan group is “serious people, bent of destruction” who plan to attack the US “very, very soon.”
Comey insisted the US had to act as if the Khorasan strike was “coming tomorrow,” but conceded that they don’t know whether they plan to attack “tomorrow or three weeks or three months from now.”
There you have it a definitive answer to our calls for clarification……..
the Khorasan strike was “coming tomorrow,” but conceded that they don’t know whether they plan to attack “tomorrow or three weeks or three months from now.” (Or ever….my words)
So basically, this group could hit is now or never……but it is imminent……after years of “success” against AQ we now have AQ that is threatening….again. So which is it? Did we do damage to AQ? Or is it still as strong as it ever was?
A fear card is a tried and true form of propaganda……..give the people something to fear and they will follow.
The American people need to educate themselves and STOP fearing a maybe……
And then there is the Congress……..are they part of this massive propaganda effort? Do we trust these people to make the right decision or are they just making a monetary decision?
Good Day.
Welcome to the SITREP of the day…….
The news is not looking good for the Syrian town of Kobane……
Item 1–the world is watching the town of Kobane which has become the symbol of the war on ISIS……
A lack of ground support for air strikes against Islamic State jihadists, and Turkey’s reluctance to step in militarily, have all but sealed the fate of the besieged Syrian border town of Kobane, analysts said Tuesday.
“It is practically too late to save Kobane at this stage,” said Mario Abou Zeid, a Beirut-based analyst with the Carnegie Middle East Center.
“The expansion of Islamic State forces in Kobane is new proof that the air strikes campaign is failing to achieve its objective to destroy and dismantle the military capabilities of IS.”
Without intervention it is only a matter of days if not hours before Kobane falls to ISIS.
Item 2–There has been a discussing on action to help Kobane……..
France said on Tuesday it was vital to act in order to stop Islamic State’s advance on the northern Syria border town of Kobani, and was discussing with Turkey what could be done.
“A lot is at stake in Kobani and everything must be done so that the Daesh terrorists are stopped and pushed back,” Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told the French parliament.
“A tragedy is unfolding, and we must all react.”
While the world debates Kobane is lost….a typical result.
Item 3–Targeting for airstrikes are being questioned……where do we get the info for a strike? Is it accurate or a ruse? These questions are asking because……
A Monday US airstrike against the ISIS-held town of Hit has killed at least 22 Iraqi civilians, and wounded many more, according to locals. The strikes hit a marketplace, along with apartments alongside the market.
Locals say they believe the intended target was a building containing ISIS fighters, just down the road, but the indications are that that building wasn’t hit, with locals saying it was likely a “mistake.”
Just how reliable is our intel for the airstrikes?
Item 4–the US will face another problem….what about those that venture to say Turkey to fight with the Kurds or the Syrian rebels?
A man who said he is a U.S. citizen and former soldier from Ohio said in a video interview inside Syria that he had come to join Kurdish fighters to battle Islamic State.
Other Americans were also fighting there on behalf of a Syrian Kurdish group, said the man, who identified himself as Brian Wilson and spoke to a freelance photographer working for Reuters in Syria.
Wilson is the second American known to have joined the YPG forces. Jordan Matson, a 28-year-old from Wisconsin, is also fighting with the YPG, a spokesman for the armed group said last week. He has given an interview to a Kurdish TV station.
The question is….is it legal for an American to fight in another army other than its own? In years past the answer was no.
Item 5–The final thought for the day….it seems that ISIS wants to start a university….but just any college………
The so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) announced its desire to open a University in Mousl, a Sunni-populated city, situated in northern Iraq which was seized by the Islamist militants during the past summer.
Meanwhile ISIS published an announcement in its official website, calling on local volunteers to join Mousl University’s nuclear research center to ‘help patients suffering from terminal cancers,’ reported Qatari news Agency (QNA) .
Now that is something to be concerned over….ISIS wants to do nuke research……
This ends the briefing and I apologize for the brevity …..the world is watching Kobane and all else is in the back seat…..
Thanx for your time and attention.
Turn the page!
The FBI is asking the public for their help to identify this ISIS member that may be American……please read the article and watch the video……
I am not impressed with the FBI or the CIA but in this case I will set my objections aside and help if I can.
Please check it out….click on the link and help if you can…..thanx my friends.
I Have been questioning the validity of this AQ seal team, Khorsan group……I believe that it was a bit too coincidental that we learned about them just when we were looking for justification to bomb Syria……
Did America Fake Imminent Terror Threats To Justify Bombing Syria? by Ted Snider — Antiwar.com.
We have been bombing the Hell out of ISIS for weeks now……so how is the war going?
We Americans want to know that we are winning the war at this point….after all we have the best air force in the world….so how we doing?
Maybe maps will give my reader an idea…..first map is the area controlled by ISIS before the airstrikes….

This second map is the area controlled as of 7Oct14…..

How shall we spell success?
Can anyone else see a problem here?
This is NOT looking promising for Baghdad.
What do those maps mean? The best air force in the world needs support from the ground or the bombing program is ineffectual.
If ground support is needed and the US is out of the question…..who will be that force on the ground? A good question and so far NO good answer.
