I wish I had a good intro to this press….but the best thing I can think of…….it is a disgusting idea…..that any American would consider this a good idea and if they do………. how can they sleep at night.
At what point does this fly into the face of what this country stands for?……..has compassion been replaced with selfish indulgence?

“I’ve got mine; screw you,” seems to be an attitude among too many in this country.
I agree and I blame it on the “ME” generation of the 1980’s….it is where greed took a strong hold on all aspects of society….

One problem is some of the “homeless” are exposed as frauds. It only takes one rotten apple to rotten the barrel or something like that.
But cannot blame all for the acts of the one…..
I agree, but when I see of them on the corners with McDonalds bags and then get into a car and another takes their place it is hard to believe that they are truely in need. What about all the money we spend on social programs do they not work?
I am seeing less money money for those programs but more cash to be sure the wealthy do not have to go without their caviar…I read some place that about 25% of homeless are vets….that is not acceptable…..but this country dies not seem to care about them it is easier to throw some cash at a charity and say “I’m doing my part”….the crime is that vets need a charity at all….
It is possible to just have communities strickly for vets and their immediate family members. I fear that if the govt. got involved it would turn out to be another disaster. Vets. do deserve the best unless they are deserters etc.
Could this coming to the vets. moment because the children of the 60’s there are their children or grandchildren that are homeless vets?
I got the GI bill and it help pay for school and my living while in school….a lot of the programs that are the worse were made so by elected officials but few people will blame them it is always thge people that get the aid that are to blame….
Once you let the hands of an elected official into the pot, it will fail. The officials “pork” their community so they won’t say anything negative.
Thge “pork” thing is why we are in dee4p do-do…..but locals like but hate if you get it….if that cannot change this whole system is headed for the toilet….
It all comes back to greed. I want what you have or I want what you can’t get. We will never get rid of pork it is what keeps the politicians office. Ironic we vote for the people who will sink this nation. Just don’t get it.
I have been fighting that uphill battle for 40 years…people should vote and when they do, at times, they just keep making things worse……I am working on a piece about a possible change to the election process…..not gonna be too popular with anybody….but that has never stopped me before and cannot see it doing so this time either….
If no one likes it, then it should be perfect! All I would like to see happen is term limits (2), no retirement and no health insurance. The politicians are usually wealthy enough to afford this lifestyle. We could put all the Congress members in one apt. building at a low rate. I am sure there are many perks that they could do without. I would like to see your proposal. It would be a hoot to see what suggestions you would get from you subscribers?
I will let you know when it is finished…it will take awhile with all my other duties……
I would like to see them buy a complex like the Watergate and turn it into apartments…..they could have 4 assistance of their own the rest would be from pools…..NO family member on “fact finding” missions…no family paid vacations.
