From the VOMITORIUM
We all know what that bastard Blumenthal has done…he lied about his combat service in Vietnam….personally, I think he should have his pee-pee spanked in public for such an exaggeration…..but beyond that this is just another a/holes trying to make himself more important that he really is…..but there is a cure for this type of sh*t……..!!!!!!!
Enter Sen. Orin Hatch of Utah……to curb this type of outright lying about one’s military service Hatch had proposed a bill which basically says…..
Hatch introduced the legislation as an amendment to a supplementary war spending bill currently being debated in the Senate.
My amendment would add to this existing statute, making false statements regarding participation in combat operations. It appears to me that individuals make these false claims in order to obtain honorariums, employment, elected office or other positions of authority.
If convicted of this misdemeanor offense, the perpetrator could face 6 months in jail and/or a fine. This is the same penalty for falsely obtaining and wearing awards or medals.
…
It is a crime to dishonor the sacrifice of so many by falsely representing combat service for the purposes of self-promotion or benefit. My amendment would deter those who would falsely prop themselves up in order to appear worthy of the award and title of “combat veteran.”
Now if passed….we will have justice against those a/holes that lie about their military service……..just when you think everything is running smoothly…then BAM! Another shoe hits the damn floor!
And what shoe would that be, Professor?
Since that bastard Dem has lied about his military service he should be made to pay for that lie…..but now there is a Repub caught with his dick in his military service……From the Newser website……
These are dangerous times for politicians with war records on their resumes. Republican congressman Mark Kirk of Illinois—a Senate candidate for President Obama’s old seat—has admitted that his official bio was wrong in declaring that the Navy once gave him the prestigious Intelligence Officer of the Year Award. In fact, his entire unit got a different award for its work during NATO’s conflict with Serbia, reports the Washington Post.
Now how will this play when a fellow Repub is guilty of embellishing his military service record? So far it is spin…..that the lying was NOT the same lying….which means that there are some lies that are acceptable…….this should put an end to the media’s feeding frenzy and Hatch may even shut up….but I doubt it.
