Goodbye Teddy

The “Liberal Lion” of the Senate is gone.

Edward M. Kennedy, the husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle we loved so deeply, died late Tuesday night at home in Hyannis Port (Massachusetts),” the Kennedy family said in a statement early Wednesday.

He was one of only few true statesmen we had in the US Congress….he will be sorely missed.

Goodbye Teddy!

  1. I think that’s the key word – STATESMAN. Both in the UK and, from what I’ve seen and read, in the US too, there are so few real statesmen left in politics. Most politicians these days seem to be grubby, loud-mouthed, greedy little people with no style about them at all. Sad, isn’t it?

    1. Morning AF….so true….my grandfather had a saying any dumbass can be a politician, but it takes man of principles to be a statesman….here in the US, we have limitless amounts of politicians, but a sad lack of statesmen….
