After the SOTU speech there has been lots of chatter about Obama not so veiled threat of using his executive orders to get things done……this ‘toon is great!

I got this little piece in a tweet the other day…..personally I think it is moronic….but no more moronic that the other side of the equation…….
There is not a whole more that needs to be said…….this may seem a bit contrite….but No more so the the crap that the extremists want you to believe……Obama has many issues that I take exception with….but the lies that are spread are just pushing the limits of the 1st amendment……but to some that is okay….can say whatever they want and the same is not allowed by the ‘opposition’………
Before someone gets all pouty…..this is NO different than the made up slogans that are all too present on the blogosphere…….if you dislike these then you should dislike ALL made up crap…..tht is too much to ask…..you see they are right and the rest of the political world is wrong…..and that sports fans is what is wrong with the system you like to call American Exceptionalism…..Stupid Fighting Stupid!
Ever have one of those days when you want to write something extraordinary and you stare at the screen with a blank look on your face? Cool! I was having one of those spacey mornings……then ….BAM! I got an inspiration!
I am writing this on the 24th of January and will save it as a draft to be posted on 27Jan14….I like doing something that is not anticipated…….there will be a wealth of people describing the prez’s words after the fact…..chuq will be the first to analyze before the fact….YOU ARE WELCOME!
All eyes and ears will be on our prez tomorrow night…he will give the State of the Union speech…I believe this will be #5…..and following his speech there will a a rebuttal from the GOP and somewhere they will get a Tea Party reaction (this will be an insulting name calling diatribe)…..and your fave old professor will do something completely different….he will predict what he thinks the prez will talk about and give his analysis….before the fact……avoid the rush…if you will.
The prez will touch on several issues……..Obamacare, minimum wage, income inequality, Iran nuke deal, immigration and climate change (not sure of this one but it would fit in his speech nicely) and then probably some note of the NSA thing and of course the usual suspects….education and manufacturing……
Our prez will focus on the ACA (Obamacare for those that cannot keep up with the acronyms) is has become a little more successful since the disastrous roll out…..he will list the successes…..since he has so few to draw on……
He should spend some major time on income inequality and a rise in the minimum wage……why? It is an election year and he wants to set the ground work for the races…..he wants to appeal to the ‘populist’ base……..
Immigration will get some attention but not the amount that is needed to make it a priority…..
NSA will get s speechly nod….the prez will thump his chest about the reforms….the reforms? Yep, IMO it is a band-aid for a gunshot wound……
Of course he will bring attention to the Iran nuke deal that is moving smoothly…..for now…..
And the small three, as I call them, will get a nod but not much more….those would be education, manufacturing and climate change……….
There you have what I see as the ‘meat’ of this year’s edition of the State of the Union message……..
How did I do?
I also usual give my take on the rebuttals by the GOP and the Tea Party….and I will predict those responses also….GOP–will try to refute everything the prez said and offer NO new ideas on….well ANYTHING!
The Tea Party response will be…..(I’m thinking)…….for lack of a better term….MORONIC!
I will leave the after speech analysis to those that have nothing better to talk about……chuq

Day 9—Pathetic losers play the fiddle while the US burns…..we have so much to look forward to in the coming days…….
I would like to remind our crackerjack legislators that they are suppose to govern for the people of this country……these games are getting us nowhere and nowhere very quickly…….the only thing this shutdown has done is eliminate a lot of revenue for this country…has done little to save us any cash…….now if that is your idea of governing then apparently we have different ideas as to what these pathetic fools were elected to do……
With that said….are there any ideas for finding a solution to this brain teaser thought up by MENSA rejects?
There’s still no end in sight for the government shutdown. But if an end were in sight, what might it look like? CBS breaks down the possibilities:
- Moderate Republicans to the Rescue? Rep. Peter King has been leading meetings of his moderate colleagues. King has been an outspoken critic of the shutdown. “This never had a chance to work,” he said yesterday, according to the Hill, bashing the “suicide caucus” that caused it. But so far they haven’t come up with any viable plan, member Jon Runyan tells Roll Call.
- The Discharge Petition? Democrats have begun circling a petition which, if a majority of House members sign, would force a vote on a bill to reopen the government. But Runyan says that won’t work, because the petition wouldn’t kick in until after the Oct. 17 debt ceiling deadline. “It’s going to get real [bleep] on the 17th,” he adds.
- A Grand Bargain? John Boehner has reportedly been pitching a packaged deal to the White House tying the continuing resolution and debt limit to sweeping fiscal reforms. “Everybody laughed at him because they’ve heard this song and dance so many times,” one Democratic aide tells Politico.
- Democrats Could Give Something Up? A handful of lawmakers from both sides of the aisle last week proposed repealing a small part of the Affordable Care Act—the 2.3% tax on medical device sales—in exchange for reopening the government. But Harry Reid called the play “an act of desperation” and vowed to stick to his guns.
- Boehner Could Cave? But the speaker claims that, even if he allowed a vote on a clean bill, there wouldn’t be enough votes to pass it.
If none of those sound likely to you, you’re not alone. Despite frustration in the ranks, both sides’ leaders are barely even talking. “There may be a back room somewhere,” Boehner said yesterday. “But there’s nobody in it.”
Who will blink first? Not one of these asswads will take responsibility for the crisis that they are creating…..and when the time comes fingers will be pointed, speeches will be made and we will still be screwed, but someone will have secured their place in line for the bucks for their 2016 campaigns……and that will be the only winner in this dance of morons!

What did the prez have to say to the UN? Is it conciliatory? Or hawkish?
