Is Perry Cain’s Abel?

The media cannot make up his mind….is its Trump or Huntsman or Perry or Bachmann….and now it is Cain, well before they started flicking Christie’s wanker, that is…….but what is all this back and forth about?

Feeling a little deja vu over the latest GOP poll, the one that shows Herman Cain surging as Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann sink? You should, explains Steve Kornacki at Salon, because Republicans have once again embraced the “nuisance candidate.” It’s a pattern they’ve been repeating for a while now, with different candidates in the starring role. Bachmann had her moment, and even Donald Trump took a turn. It speaks to the “comically high ratio between fringe candidates and actual viable contenders.” The pattern goes like this, Kornacki writes: “Some sort of triggering event, followed by an encouraging poll or two, ramped up media coverage, even better poll numbers, a surge in fundraising, even more media coverage, and a sudden consensus that the candidate just might have more staying power than we all thought—at which point the moment would end and it would be someone else’s turn.” And Perry could have saved the party from the latest round if he hadn’t bombed so miserably in the debates. Cain is winning straw polls, at least for now and his 999 tax plan is getting a bit of play, well at least from us bloggers….and the media is on his side….that is when they are not trying to convince Chris Christie that the country cannot survive without his unique brand of conservatism…….but with Perry’s campaign in the crapper will he be the mainstream Repub candidate?  My thought is no.  Thoughts?

Social Networking–Friend Or Foe?

Today I begin my mental relaxation period and for two days I shall think about anything but the buttholes in Washington………

We can now tell our friends what we are doing at any moment….when you are sitting on the pot or after you just had sex the cute whack job in 4B….and thanx to old what his name and the bobbsy twins and the Twitter dude…there is nowhere that we cannot go and still not share our most intimate moments……and in 140 characters.

Social networking can be used for a lot of things….like a political campaign, selling merchandise and services…..and recently as a tool to coordinate a revolution.  Yep!  the protests and civil disobedience known as “the Arab Spring” has been coordinated on Twitter and FaceBook……the protesters used it to tell when and where protests were to break out…in other words it was used to bring about change in an authoritarian system and to move many Middle East countries toward the possibility of a democracy breaking out.  In this case it was a friend!

Recently, there was a protest called to bring attention to the crimes and the thieves on Wall Street and it has been reported that 50,000 people took part in the protest….but where was the media?  There was NO reporting on this turn of events like there was during the continuing Arab Spring movement.  Why?  You would think that a protest of 50,000 people would get someone’s attention in the media.

It seems that the authorities, regardless of who they are, used social networking to get ahead of the protests……they were able to know where and when the major events were to be held and at what time…thus these protests were controlled to the point that the media did not feel it was news worthy plus the media is controlled by corporations and did not want to strike the hand that feeds them…..so social networking was ineffective as a protest tool, they allowed it to be an organizing tool but not let it go much further….in this case, social networking was NOT a friend and was a FOE!

If protests are to be successful then the movement needs to find another way of coordinating the protests.  Straight networking is NOT friendly to the revolution.  Social networking is being used against the movement….if you are planning civil disobedience then networking is your FOE!

U.S. Day Of Rage

Well for me the day of rage is just about every day when you see the political games and cowardly acts of our “respected” Washington representatives……but in this case I am talking about a protest that was called for this past weekend……I waited for the report of it from the mainstream media….and I waited…..and I waited….kinda like that plane to Lisbon……

Remember when they were going to have the debt ceiling vote in Washington and Bachmann held her press conference and asked the people in attendance if she should vote NO?…..Remember?  The news report showed all of 12 people standing under some event umbrella and all weakly said….NO!

I bring this up to ask if those 12 people constituted a news story why is not 50,000 one?

Most Americans are being kept in the dark about the US Day of Rage by the corporate cable news giants at CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC who have imposed a de facto blackout on the protest.

Even though estimates have varied from hundreds to as many as 50,000 protesters flooded into Manhattan and others cities to take part in events around the country to, “nonviolently disrupt the disloyal, incompetent, and corrupt special interests which have usurped our nation’s civil and military power, spawning a host of threats to our liberty, lives and national security,” the three cable news networks have devoted no airtime to the story.

This is becoming an all too familiar scene. In Wisconsin hundreds of thousands of regular people took to the streets each weekend to protest the theft of their rights, and were completely ignored by CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC.

We keep hearing people like Palin and Bachmann and Perry and any other of the Teabaggers bitch about the MSM…..but this is just another reason that their bitching is just ginned up crap.  And why would the media NOT report on this protest?  (I know the answer but do others)…..if there is ever some sort of uprising against the machine of state….they cannot count on the media to there reporting the real news….

Now you see why I say that bloggers are the best way to get info….even if I do not agree with them…I trust them more than the mainstream media.

2011 GOP Debate #6

I was not going to dignify this debate with a post….but many friends and relatives have been asking me what I thought of it…..so instead to repeating myself I did this post from the notes I had made…..(BTW one of my acquaintances is a TPer)……

CNN/Tea Party Express held a get together to discuss the issues of the day and how they would approach solutions to those problems….the usual suspects were there….Romney, Perry, Bachmann, Santorum, Paul, Huntsman, Newt and Cain…all were in attendence…..

First, it was a pile on of Perry since he is the so-called frontrunner…he and Romney dueled awhile, Huntsman dueled with the two of them, Bachmann just looked like a hater….Paul is just old….Santorum…well he is Santorum…..Newt a snooze and then there was Cain….what can I say about Cain?    NO really what can I say about Cain?

The night was full of the evils of Social Security……the demon Obamacare……regulations and the ever present Tax cuts…..the only good thing was that Romney looked presidential and Perry had nothing but tag lines that could be quoted by the mindless…..and since the audience was an indication of the Tea Party…it showeed that these people have NO idea what reality is….and are only capable of applauding shit that makes NO sense to a rational person…..

And then there is CNN…….in their desperate attempt to find viewers they allowed the Tea Party to use them for a circus of garbage….they should be ashamed of their performance and Wolf Blitzer needs to take a couple of Valium and go away……if this was their attempt at relevancy…..THEY FAILED!

Now, Americans want a loser and a winner…..the winner…(may I have a drum roll please)……..was anyone who watched “Spongepants Squareboobs” or Law and Order (it is on continuously for 24 hrs a day)…….the big loser was…….(another drum roll)…….the rational American voter!

A Blogging We Will Go

How many of my blogging brethren go to the townhalls and try to interact with their duly elected officials?  If not, you should!  That is how you can get up close and personal with the guys that are acting in your behalf, well, at least pretend to act in you name……and then the bloggers need to go and write a post about what they learned or did not learn from their time with the possers, we call politicians…..

If that is what you are going top do or would like to do then there are a few questions I know you have…..like what do I look for when in the presence of these guys and gals…….Howard Fineman wrote in the HufPo about the tips he got from a journalism student, Tyler Kingkade….some great points…..

  • Attend the small political gatherings at the local restaurants in your town. In Iowa, he said, they tend to be at a chain called Pizza Ranch. Your own town or state has its own equivalent. “In a small groups, people are willing to say more,” Tyler said. “You learn more about what people are thinking and what they care about. There is no filter, and that is good.”
  • Get out of the big city. “In Iowa everybody thinks the action is in Des Moines, but that isn’t true,” said Kingkade — who is from Des Moines. “In the Iowa caucuses, what happens in small towns and counties really matters a lot, and the national press corps tends not to know them or visit them.”
  • Talk to local groups — real local groups. “There are national groups that come in to try to influence things,” he said, “but in Iowa the local grassroots groups that are from the state have a lot of credibility and influence.” On the conservative side in Iowa, he said, one of them is a group called Everyday America, founded by Iowa state legislators. On the other side politically is Citizens for Community Involvement — a group that will become important next year, when, in the general election, Iowa will once again be a swing state.
  • Keep track of the TV ads: who’s advertising what, and on what shows, and listen to local talk radio. Again, it’s not the national blowtorch of Rush Limbaugh who matters, but the local stations the national reporters don’t hear or care about.
  • Look for things the “pack” doesn’t notice: things that only a local, and an amateur, would see and appreciate. That could be a conversation in the neighborhood, a flier or email, a meeting that draws more voters — or far fewer — than expected.

Some really great tips if you truly want to approach your political blogging in a professional way…..As I have said in the past….I trust serious bloggers more than the MSM….even the ones that I do not agree with on much……bloggers are NOT held accountable by some multi-national corporation and told to toe a particular line of thought or writing……an observation by Politicususa…..

Bloggers, journalists, economists, and average Americans warned of Republican malfeasance to no avail and now a credit rating agency has confirmed the fears of millions and started the ball rolling that ends America. The blame lies with Republicans, teabaggers, and the stupid American people who elected them because they did not want universal health care or a Black president. They have embarrassed and humiliated America again and it proves America is not exceptional. It is like S&P said; America is a dysfunctional nation with little hope of recovering from the stupid Republican agenda that has damaged the economy for the second time in 5 years. America will never recover a third time and Mitch McConnell promised Republicans will repeat last week’s performance again next year; they want to assure there is further downgrading. There is little left to downgrade though, and that suits Republicans who caused this disaster. They must still be congratulating each other while the rest of the country despairs and grieves the demise of this tragically pitiful country.

Yes, we bloggers were not the paranoid little toads living in our mother’s basement eating Cheetohs….we knew what was happening and refused to go blind like the MSM……but will they ever listen to us?

I try to encourage all political bloggers to go out and get the news and the views from the politicians…..get the talking points and these tips, a fact checking app and hit the trail…..you will be surprised how really easy it becomes…..good luck, my friends.

The Media As A Referee?

(Let me finish laughing…it hurts so bad)……NO!  A thousand times NO!  To say the media….ALL the media….were just reporting the facts to the American people is in NO small way delusional……I, as well as many of us on the so-called Left, have said that the media is nothing more than op-ed TV….that is why most of the people that I know that want the facts and only the facts go to….BBC News or Reuters et al…….but to my point….the whole debt deal that was played endlessly in the American media showed just how silly the media was in its handling of the ginned up “crisis”……yes, I will continue to bitch about this subject!

This is not just a Democratic problem or a Republican problem, the whole country was in on this to get us to this stage. Now, we’re in a huge spending binge in this country. Everybody was along for the ride for a long, long time. President Bush started a war on a credit card. It’s been going on for 10 years. We have prescription drug benefits for the seniors that are not paid for. SEC wasn’t looking at what was happening on Wall Street. Democrats were pushing house ownership for people who didn’t really deserve and shouldn’t be buying houses. At the same time, they were not willing to step up on reforming Medicare and on Medicaid and Social Security. The country itself, they were spending money like crazy, and they were—they’d gotten used to having Washington take care of whatever they needed.

That seems to be the common narrative on this pile of bovine fecal matter……Joe Rosen has a different view about what Brokaw and others are reporting…….

This is what the majority of our journalists believe about the debt crisis. It was created by both sides. It will have to be resolved by both sides. The American people are hugely to blame, as well. The division of responsibility is thus miraculously equal: one third to the Democrats, one third to the Republicans, one third to the public.No distinctions between the parties are tenable. It’s 50-50 all the way down. Symmetrical. Equal and opposite. Neat and clean. Exquisitely balanced.

To the press? Zero responsibility.

This is what a majority of our political journalists believe. Therefore, they should go to war for this interpretation. They should own it. For it is theirs.

The media continues to pretend that they some how speak for all of us….that is CRAP!  Bloggers are more in tuned than the press will ever be…..the press likes to identify us bloggers as people who sit around in our mother’s basement eating Cheetos and typing…….their arrogance is why they are JOKES!  Most political bloggers are very astute observers of the subject they write about….I am NOT talking about those people that spend all their effort calling names and insulting anyone who does not agree with them…..but for the media to try and paint bloggers as some whacked out nerd sitting around in the underwear is just petty jealousy and arrogance.

Are We A Country Of Legal Rights?

I am sure that this will get some people’s dander up….but keep in mind that I am NOT making a call on guilt or innocence…….

I was not gonna post anymore on the Anthony trial but since the media has turned this into a three ring circus….I feel I must!

We Americans are proud of our country especially because of our rights and freedoms, at least that is what we are told to be proud of daily, but (there seems to to always a but) there are times that I have a hard time understanding the thinking…..Americans are an emotional people, and at times act in a contrary way than what the Constitution and such say…….

By now everyone with hearing knows that Casey Anthony was been found not guilty of murder….my most appreciative thing about the trial was listening to Nancy Grace self destruct and her head explode at the verdict, that aside….I do not post too often on gossipy crap but this time I will make an exception……

People are all over the media saying what a travesty of justice has been done……of course these are all personal opinions….but look at from a legal point of view and leave the media induced emotionalism behind……the prosecution did not prove its case beyond a shadow of doubt…..is that not what our laws say…..innocent until proven guilty?  The prosecution did not prove its case on her guilt.  That should be enough for the citizens, but instead the media has turned this into a circus for the sake of ratings…..I am not voicing my opinion on whether she is guilty or not, my opinion is just that MINE, I am however saying that because were are a nation of laws and procedures and after a trial of her peers she was found to be not guilty and that should be enough for the people….the system worked the way it was designed to work…..

All the hysteria and emotions that have been poured out by the people is disgusting…….there have even been death threats and physical harm threats against the people on the jury because they did NOT find this person guilty……they did not act the way that the media wanted and so now we have every nut job being trotte3d out to a mic so we can hear what the media wants us to hear….this is unacceptable….if these dirt bags want to harm someone then go after the prosecution, because they did not make their case…..but leave the people on the jury alone…..

And why do all these people think Anthony is guilty?  Basically, because the media made the case against her few of the hysterical people were in the courtroom to hear the evidence so they are talking smack brought on by the media……

Like I said earlier, I am NOT making a judgment on the verdict or the guilt of the person…I am speaking from a purely analytical point of view…..my biggest bitch is that the media has the power to convict a person even before a trial and then has the power to question the verdict to the point that Americans go bat shit crazy and will possibly break the law…if so, where does that serve the public’s best interests?

The Education Nation?

For about a month now, the companies of NBC have been pushing a bunch of stories about the education in the US……mostly about what is being done properly….which is a good thing…but they seldom touch on what is being done wrong……the cuts in education, the politicians that hate education, the pure BS coming from the president and his group of liars……with these guys in charge there is NO education nation, just a nation of minimum wage earners….why?  The country and the education system has FAILED the people!

The “special” that the networks do to promote a better understanding of education and the policies has FAILED and is a waste of time.  Why?  No one gives a sh*t!  It is far more important for Americans to worry about who gets married or who has an abortion or even how many guns you want to buy and while you are jerking off with minor crap the country is dying!

Even if all the economic schemes work well this country is still doomed to mediocrity because the most important thing, especially at election time,  is education….and yet we turn a blind eye at all the cuts to that system….as long as you put little social desires above the only thing that could possibly save this country, then the country is truly DOOMED!

Until we Americans learn how to get involved and demand our rights and needs we will be marginalized and the scum that is ruining this country will be able to function freely…….we need to react the way the Chileans have…..

Some 120,000 students, teachers and members of other unions marched on Thursday, June 30, in Chile to defend public education and oppose the proliferation of private, for-profit schools and universities.The demonstrators charge that the poorest youth are concentrated in public schools, where they receive an inferior education. The students are demanding that all Chileans be given the right to a higher education and that the government provide the necessary scholarships.

We Americans need to act as the Chileans…..we need to get involved…..we need to have massive protests, especially in Washington and in the offices of the thieves we have running this country……STOP!  All the talk is doing NOTHING to make the US number one……without education we will revert to the days of the 1770’s….rich guys and indentured servants……

Without education…the US has NO future!

Boy, Is The Media Pissed!

For years I have been bitching about the media and how it has started driving news instead of reporting……the media faces do more editorializing than reporting…..and when they are caught with their drawers down….they get pissed!

And they are pissed now!

First, the news story of the abuse by DSK, you know that French dude that attacked a chamber maid, come to find out after a couple of months the case against him is falling apart….he may not be the pig that the media wanted him to be…I am not saying that he is NOT a pig but that the story driven by the media may be completely wrong….  It seems his accuser may not be telling the truth, the whole truth, so help her God!  The media got it wrong!

And by now everyone has heard the news that Casey Anthony was found Not Guilty of killing her child…..for months and years we were bombarded by the media with every minute detail of the evidence and lastly the long trial…..even to the point that news ceased to exist with the exception of her trial…..media drove this story for years….they had her convicted in the court of public opinion and now they were once again found with crap on their faces…..and the media is pissed!

I am NOT going to say that Anthony did not kill her child, just that in the eyes of the law she is Not Guilty….she may walk but for the rest of her life she will be linked to OJ….comparisons and such will forever dog her…thanx to the media she will FOREVER be guilty of killing her child…….please before everyone starts accusing me of whatever……I am NOT defending her in any way….just pointing out that the media has tried to convict 2 people in the last couple of years and has failed to do so…..the media is pissed!

Regardless of how you feel about Anthony, whether she is guilty or innocent, her life as she knew it is OVER!  Her options are very limited…..she will not be able to live a so-called “normal” life…..she will most likely make a porn tape, get involved with drugs and be dead within 5 years….so I guess that all those that have bought into her guilt will eventually have their revenge or as they call it…..JUSTICE.

Will the media learn from these two failures to control the story outcome?  Doubtful, they are like politicians…they do NOTHING wrong…it is not their responsibility to report news only!  They want to control the news not report it…..and now the media is pissed!

Must Listen To The People

We hear this from all sides in a political debate…..Senators get up and lecturing the media about the will of the American people……whether it is war or taxes or debt…..we are told that we must listen to the people….because the Representatives know what we, the people, really want and will do whatever it is that is important to us, the people……

Well, these days what we are told by the politicians is that the American people do NOT want a rise in taxes to help our deficit and debt problem…….and ALL the Repubs are on this bandwagon and spouting this talking point daily….every time there is a story about the Dems wanting to increase revenue….one or all of the leaders of the GOP run full speed to a microphone to give their talking point about what the American people want……..but what do the American people want?

To answer that question I found an article in Politicususa.com……

Despite what the GOP keeps telling us, Bruce Bartlett has compiled a list of 19 different polls taken since January that demonstrate that Americans support increasing taxes in order to reduce the deficit and inequality. Americans may not love tax increases, but they understand their necessity for deficit reduction.

In the June 9 ABC News poll 61% of Americans believe higher taxes will be necessary to reduce the deficit, and 57% of those polled said that deficit reduction should include both tax increases and spending cuts.

A Pew poll found that more people blame the nation’s involvement in wars than tax cuts or spending for the deficit. The poll also found wide support for increasing taxes, as 67% said the more high earners income should be subject to being taxed for Social Security, and 66% support raising taxes on incomes over $250,000, and 62% support closing corporate tax loopholes.

A Bloomberg poll taken in May found that only 33% of those surveyed thought that it would be possible to lower the deficit without raising taxes, 64% expressed the belief that it isn’t possible to lower the deficit without raising taxes.

An April CBS News/NY Times poll showed that 72% of people favored raising taxes on the wealthy in order to reduce the deficit. A March NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that 81% of those surveyed would support a tax on millionaires that would be used for deficit reduction, and 68% supported eliminating the Bush tax cuts on those who make over $250,000.

So there you are sports fans!  Your Congress really does NOT give a crap what you want……..but rather what special interests want and the desires of ONE person…..Nordquist!

Do you still feel that you are getting the best government by your vote….or is it the best that money can buy?  Every time I hear one of the buffoons say what the people want….I have to break out in laughter….the truth is….THEY DO NOT GIVE A CRAP WHAT YOU WANT!  Get that through your head!  It has NEVER been about what you want….EVER!
