All This Domestic Terrorism

Since the death of Charlie there has been a lot of chest thumping about domestic terrorism…..and the blame aimed toward the Dems and anyone who does not agree with the silly policies of Donny and his compliant thugs….

Donny has floated the idea of putting antifa on the list of domestic terrorist organization.

President Trump announced from the UK, where he is currently on a state visit, that he plans to designate antifa a terrorist organization, though it’s not clear exactly how that will work. The president made the announcement on his Truth Social network around 1:30am local time Thursday, the AP reports. “I am pleased to inform our many USA Patriots that I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION,” he wrote. “I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” As multiple news outlets including Politico are pointing out, however, it’s unclear how Trump can carry out his plan.

Antifa, short for anti-fascist, is an umbrella term for groups that resist fascism and neo-Nazis, and as it’s a decentralized movement, it’s not clear how the terrorist group label could be applied. Former FBI Director Christopher Wray said during a 2020 Congressional hearing that antifa is “a movement or an ideology,” not an organization. And since it’s domestic, it can’t be included on the State Department list of foreign terror organizations. There is currently no domestic equivalent, partially because of the First Amendment rights afforded to US groups. Trump on Monday said he would designate antifa a domestic terror organization if his cabinet, including the attorney general, agreed, Fox News reports. In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s shooting, multiple members of the Trump administration have indicated plans to halt any criticism of the rightwing activist.

Blondi will do whatever the half-wit wants and put a non-existent organization on the domestic terrorists list.  IDIOTS!

In fact this is just red meat for morons!

For those that are slow on the uptake….antifa is NOT an organization….there is NO national headquarters, No national leader, No membership dues….it is NOT an organization….it is a group of people that are not afraid to confront Nazis and anyone who espouses their twisted thinking.

So for MAGA idiots and their disgusting leader to keep beating a dead horse….most of the violence comes in from the Right….

Within the past few days, the Department of Justice deleted one of its own studies from its website showing that “far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists.”

The timing comes just a few days after Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on September 10. Tyler Robinson, 22, has been arrested and charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child. The state is seeking the death penalty.

Kirk was a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, encouraging the young voters in his organization to vote for Trump during his presidential campaigns and speaking at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last year. In the wake of Kirk’s death, Trump and other Republicans have broadly blamed the “radical left” for the shooting.

The deletion of the study from the DOJ website was flagged by Daniel Malmer, a PhD student at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill who is studying “online extremism, radicalization, and conspiracy beliefs.”

Vice President JD Vance hosted an episode of The Charlie Kirk Show from the White House on Monday, and his guests included White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, who said the killing of the show’s namesake will lead to a crackdown on leftist groups that he described as a domestic terror movement. “With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and throughout this government to identify, disrupt, dismantle and destroy these networks and make America safe again for the American people,” Miller said. Vance said the White House would “work to dismantle the institutions that promote violence and terrorism in our own country.”

  • “The organized doxxing campaigns, the organized riots, the organized street violence, the organized campaigns of dehumanization, vilification, posting people’s addresses, combining that with messaging that’s designed to trigger and incite violence and the actual organized cells that carry out and facilitate the violence,” Miller said. “It is a vast domestic terror movement.” He said the crackdown would happen “in Charlie’s name.”
  • Vance opened the show by saying he was “filling in for somebody who cannot be filled in for, but I’ll do my best,” the AP reports. He said Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, told him the 31-year-old was never “cross or mean-spirited” to her. “I took from that moment that I needed to be a better husband and I needed to be a better father,” Vance said. “That is the way I’m going to honor my friend.”
  • Later in the show, Vance said that he was “desperate” for national unity, but that there can be “no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk’s assassination.” “When you see someone celebrating Charlie’s murder, call them out,” he said, per NBC News. “And, hell, call their employer. We don’t believe in political violence, but we do believe in civility, and there is no civility in the celebration of political assassination.”
  • “This is not a both-sides problem,” Vance said. “While our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies, it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far left.”
  • Vance’s other guests included Tucker Carlson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. Kennedy described Kirk as a “spiritual soulmate” who “orchestrated” his endorsement of Trump last year at an Arizona rally organized by Kirk’s Turning Point USA group, the Guardian reports.

As someone who has been on thee Left most of my adult life would you please tell me who these ‘extremists’ are?

President Donald Trump revealed on Monday that he was considering designating Antifa and other far-left “radical groups” as domestic terror organizations following the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Asked, “Do you plan on designating Antifa finally a domestic terror organization?” the president responded, “Well, it’s something I would do, yeah. If I have support from the people back here– I think we’d start with Pam, I think. But I would– if you give me– I would do that 100%, and others also, by the way. But Antifa is terrible.”

Trump then added that there were “other groups” he would also consider designating as domestic terror organizations, remarking, “They have some pretty radical groups and they got away with murder.”

“Also, I’ve been speaking to the attorney general about bringing RICO against some of the people that you’ve been reading about that have been putting up millions and millions of dollars for agitation,” he concluded. “These aren’t protests, these are crimes what they’re doing.”

Trump received renewed calls to go after Antifa – which has a lengthy history of engaging in violence – following the assassination of Kirk at Utah Valley University last week.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has doubled down on her attack on free speech after a MAGA backlash, vowing to use the full force of the law to crack down on left-wing people using violent rhetoric to silence conservatives.

“Hate speech that crosses the line into threats of violence is NOT protected by the First Amendment. It’s a crime,” she posted on X.  (too bad that does not include all the hate speech)

Speaking again on Tuesday, days after the killing, Trump said that “most of the violence is on the left.”

But the data tells a different story. In the last five years, 81 people have been killed by political violence in the United States. Right-wing terrorists account for over half of those murders, some 54%, according to research by the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank. Islamists account for 21%, and left-wingers for 22%.

The same study looked at data as far back as 1975 and found that terrorists inspired by Islamist ideology account for some 87% of all deaths (3122) from political violence, due to the mass casualties of the 9/11 attacks.

Excluding the 9/11 attacks, over the same period, terrorists inspired by right-wing ideology are responsible for 63% of deaths from political violence during that time, compared to 10% for left-wing attacks. Since 1975, there have been 391 deaths caused by right-wing terror attacks in the United States, and 65 deaths from left-wing terror attacks.

Leftists On Ukraine (A Pathetic Bunch)

There is so much more to the Ukraine saga than most people are willing to listen to and it can be seen here on IST.

I admit it I am a leftists and according to some uneducated dickwads that makes a ‘pinko’ or some other colorful name they invent …..I have been very vocal on the war in the Ukrainian territory and to some of those same dickwads that makes me in support of Putin (which is disingenuous and that is being polite)….

The whole situation is confusing for most of us on the American Left.

(I will try to keep it as simple as I can as to not befuddle those of limited mental capacity)

It is not that leftists support Putin’s war.  On the contrary, just like people in the moderate mainstream, most leftists see it as illegal, criminal and a blatant violation of Ukraine’s territorial sovereignty.

It is true that most people on the left believe the expansion of Nato to Russia’s borders since 1999 was disastrously wrong and unnecessary, and that Washington and its European allies bear most of the blame for poisoning relations between Russia and the West over the last thirty years.  A few people on the left argue that Nato’s enlargement strategy provoked Putin’s invasion,  but the vast majority have avoided the trap of claiming that Putin’s aggression was legitimate and justifiable.   They condemned it and still condemn it unreservedly.  However angry Russia may be about Nato nothing justifies invading a neighbouring state.

Leftists also accept that Ukraine has an absolute right to defend itself against foreign invasion and enlist help from other states to resist occupation. By the same token foreign states have the right to respond to Ukraine’s appeal for help, economic, political and military.  Those states include the United States, Britain and most members of Nato.

This is where the Left’s silence begins. The Left finds itself on the same side as the United States and rightwing governments in Britain, France, Italy and other European countries. It is an embarrassing position. We may well have differences with the US over Washington’s ulterior motives. Evidence suggests that Nato’s hawks have turned the crisis into a proxy war which aims to humiliate and bankrupt Russia and remove it as a respected player on the international stage.

The Left and Ukraine

The so-called Left is not the Left of your father…..it is a docile beast that has no stomach for confrontation…..and of course the buckets of cash from the lobbyists does not help.

Some us are still as vocal as we always have been….sadly few are listening or understand complexities.

Apparently too damn many have forgotten our endless wars…Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq…..I know before some civic minded person tries to point out that we are not fighting this war….true that….but listen to those that regurgitate the MSM’s bullshit and tell me they are not pulling for our entry.
