Donny, The Waffling Man

JUst a few days ago there was a mash-up of tough talk by our Dear Donny over his desire to steal Greenland….from invasion by force to tariffs on anyone who sided with Greenland.

That was just days ago….and in true form Donny waffled on Greenland.

President Trump announced Wednesday that he was canceling his planned tariff on US allies in Europe over US control of Greenland after he and the leader of NATO agreed to a “framework of a future deal” on Arctic security.

  • “Based upon a very productive meeting that I have had with the Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. “This solution, if consummated, will be a great one for the United States of America, and all NATO Nations. Based upon this understanding, I will not be imposing the Tariffs that were scheduled to go into effect on February 1st. Additional discussions are being held concerning The Golden Dome as it pertains to Greenland.”

The abrupt about-face emerged hours after Trump had insisted that he wants to “get Greenland, including right, title and ownership,” but said he would not use force to do so while deriding European allies and vowing that NATO should not try to block US expansionism. In an extraordinary speech at the World Economic Forum, the president said he was asking for territory that was “cold and poorly located.” He said the US had effectively saved Europe during World War II and even declared of NATO: “It’s a very small ask compared to what we have given them for many, many decades.”

In subsequent comments to reporters, he declined to name a price that might be paid, saying only, “There’s a bigger price, and that’s the price of safety and security and national security and international security.” Afterward, Trump met with the leaders of Poland, Belgium, and Egypt and again repeated that the US would not be invading Greenland, the AP reports. The New York Times reports that stocks surged after Trump backed down from the tariff threat, erasing their steep losses from the previous day.

So was it an idle threat that backfired?

Well that settled what about his threat of the use of force to acquire Greenland?

President Trump has finally taken the idea of using military force in Greenland off the table. In his remarks to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Politico and the New York Times report Trump said, “We probably won’t get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force, where we would be, frankly, unstoppable, but I won’t do that. That’s probably the biggest statement I made, because people thought I would use force, but I don’t have to use force. I don’t want to use force. I won’t use force. All the United States is asking for is a place called Greenland.” More standout lines from his more than hour-long Davos speech:

  • He opened by saying, “It’s great to be back in beautiful Davos” alongside “so many business leaders, so many friends, a few enemies and all of the distinguished guests.”
  • “I have tremendous respect for both the people of Greenland and the people of Denmark. But every NATO ally has an obligation to be able to defend their own territory. And the fact is, no nation or a group of nations is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the United States.”
  • Per the Times, Trump made the case that when Germany invaded Denmark in World War II, the US had to send forces to defend Greenland but then chose to give it back to Denmark. He framed America as “stupid” for doing so and Denmark “ungrateful.” He quipped that “you’d all be speaking German and little Japanese” if not for America’s war efforts.
  • The Times adds it’s not quite right to say the US gave Greenland back: “Denmark signed a deal in 1941 for the United States to defend Greenland, a Danish territory, but never to take it over.”
  • Trump said the US is seeking “immediate negotiations” to discuss the acquisition of Greenland.
  • The Times reports there were “some gasps in the audience” after Trump set his sights on Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, saying, “Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements,” an apparent reference to Carney’s Tuesday speech.
  • Trump then described Greenland as a “cold and poorly located [place] that can play a vital role in world peace and world protection. It’s a very small ask.”
  • “You can say yes and we will be very appreciative, or you can say no and we will remember,” he said to European leaders of his acquisition request, per the Guardian.

I have said this man is an idiot and every day he opens his mouth and removes any doubt….

President Donald Trump told a room full of German speakers that they would be “speaking German” without the US at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

You cannot make up how damn stupid this man is…..he does it for you.

Why Greenland?

That is a question for the ages.

People know that I follow international relations closely and have been asking me why Greenland is so important to Donny.

I wish I had an adequate answer for them but Donny’s positions have no rhyme or reason, at least to me.

Then I read something this morning that sums it all up pretty much if you think about it….

President Trump complained about getting overlooked for a Nobel Peace Prize in a new letter to Norway’s prime minister—and tied it to his wish to control Greenland:

  • “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America,” Trump wrote to Norway Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere, reports Reuters.

In a statement, Stoere said he has reminded Trump multiple times that Norway’s government has no sway over the independent Norwegian Nobel Committee, per the Guardian. The letter came after Stoere and Finnish President Alexander Stubb criticized Trump’s plan to impose tariffs on European nations who won’t back the US plan to take control of Greenland from Denmark. On that front, Trump further pressed his case:

  • “Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a ‘right of ownership’ anyway?” asked Trump. “There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.” He added that the world “is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.”
  • Staffers for the US National Security Council have forwarded the letter to European ambassadors, reports Nick Schifrin of PBS. As for the peace prize, Trump has made no secret of his wish to receive the peace prize—and he accepted a second-hand one last week from Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.

This is retaliation for a prize snub and an infantile reason.

So he will punish Norway by stealing land from Denmark…..think about that bit of stupidity (let me know if I need to explain that statement)

He is still butt hurt because nobody will give him a prize he does not deserve, is that about it?

Besides if the US takes Greenland it will be a money sucking pit that we will regret for an eternity.

Damn!  This douche bag is so pathetic and juvenile that it is almost unbelievable….

And people voted for him….not saying about their mental state is itA?

Bribery As A Weapon

We all know that Donny has his little black heart set on acquiring Greenland…..and now he has come up with a new strategy….Bribery.

The Trump administration is reportedly discussing sending payments to Greenlanders to sway the population to back the U.S. takeover of the territory from Denmark.

The bombshell report from Reuters cited “four sources familiar with the matter” and added that “while the exact dollar figure and logistics of any payment are unclear, U.S. officials, including White House aides, have discussed figures ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 per person, said two of the sources, who requested anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.”

Reuters reported earlier in the week that the White House is weighing various options for “acquiring” Greenland, which the Trump White House has stated is an official policy goal of the U.S.

“President Trump has made it well known that acquiring Greenland is a national security priority of the United States, and it’s vital to deter our adversaries in the Arctic region. The president and his team are discussing a range of options to pursue this important foreign policy goal, and of course, utilizing the U.S. military is always an option at the commander-in-chief’s disposal,” the White House said in a statement on Tuesday.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio later added that the U.S. is looking to buy Greenland, not invade it. Rubio made the comment to lawmakers on Wednesday, with the apparent goal of de-escalating rising tensions with Europe, given that Greenland is an official territory of Denmark – a NATO ally.

Some 57,000 people live in Greenland and their leadership has explicitly rejected any notion that the territory is for sale. “Enough is enough … No more fantasies about annexation,” Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen wrote over the weekend on social media.

Trump Admin Reportedly Looking at $100,000 Payments For Greenlanders to Join US

Will Greenlanders fall for this BS?

Where will the cash come from?  Taxpayers?

To Donny everything has a price and he is depending on cash as an incentive to a silent revolution in his interests.

Denmark Is Pissed!

Surely everyone has heard the news about Donny’s desire to annex Greenland….and at times he has said by any means necessary….well there is a new wrinkle in this pipe dream….

Denmark has summoned the top US diplomat in Copenhagen after a Danish broadcaster reported that Americans have been quietly working to stoke pro-US sentiment and push for Greenland’s secession from Denmark. According to Danish public broadcaster DR, “at least three” unnamed US operatives were allegedly trying to infiltrate Greenland’s society, build networks of useful contacts, and rally support for breaking away from Denmark, reports the Guardian. DR was not able to determine who these Americans were allegedly working for, though it alleged the men, whose names it chose to withhold, had been known to have ties to President Trump.

Danish intelligence previously warned that Greenland, which enjoys autonomy but remains part of Denmark, was being subjected to “various kinds of influence campaigns.” Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen had this to say on Wednesday, per ABC News:

  • “We are aware that foreign actors continue to show an interest in Greenland and its position in the Kingdom of Denmark. It is therefore not surprising if we experience outside attempts to influence the future of the kingdom in the time ahead. Any attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of the kingdom will of course be unacceptable. In that light, I have asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to summon the US chargé d’affaires for a meeting at the ministry.”

The BBC notes the US does not have an ambassador in Denmark at this time; charge d’affaires Mark Stroh is currently the top US diplomat in Copenhagen. A meeting is expected to take place later Wednesday, per the Guardian.

And then the next day the White House and its lying brats responded…..

A spokesperson for the US State Department confirms that Charge d’Affaires Mark Stroh, the United States’ top diplomat in Denmark, has met up with that country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and had a “productive conversation” over Danish intel reports that US operatives were running “influence campaigns” to get Greenland to secede from Denmark, reports the BBC. The US’ main take on the topic, however, per a White House official: “We think the Danes need to calm down.” As for the rumors on those unnamed US operatives, the State Dept. rep noted, per the AP: “The US government does not control or direct the actions of private citizens.” They added that the Trump administration “[respects] the right of the people of Greenland to determine their own future.”

A little advice for Denmark…..do not trust anything Trump or his Merry Band of Sycophants have to say….they are ALL notorious liars.

Ignore at your peril….they are trying to come for you.

Greenland, Land Of Opportunity

Eastward Ho!

Greenland is back in the news if anyone is watching…..this time DOD Hogsbreath all but confirmed that the US will use military power to get what they want.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth refused Thursday to answer a simple question about the Trump administration’s plans for Greenland, implying that the U.S. military has drawn up plans to take the country by force.

While testifying before the House Armed Services Committee, Republican Representative Mike Turner gave Hegseth the opportunity to clarify the Trump administration’s position on taking military action to acquire Greenland—but the secretary refused to deny rumors of a potential invasion.

“While you’re here, I just want to help you out because people try to twist your words,” said Turner. “You are not confirming in your testimony today that at the Pentagon there are plans for invading or taking by force Greenland, correct? That is not your testimony today?”

“All my testimony is, is that the Pentagon has plans for any number of contingencies,” Hegseth replied simply.

“It is not your testimony today that there are plans at the Pentagon for taking by force or invading Greenland?” Turner asked, sounding incredulous. “Cause I sure as hell hope that it is not your testimony—”

“It is not your testimony today that there are plans at the Pentagon for taking by force or invading Greenland?” Turner asked, sounding incredulous. “Cause I sure as hell hope that it is not your testimony—”

“We look forward to working with Greenland to ensure that it is secured from any potential threat,” Hegseth responded, still giving no clear answer.

Turner yielded his time back to the chair.

Hegseth’s position should only come as a surprise to those who still wish to believe that Trump is kidding about his fantasies of annexing the massive, mineral-rich Arctic island, which the president has claimed the U.S. absolutely needs to wrest from Denmark’s control in order to establish “international peace.”

In his crazed state is Donny and Hogsbreath really to cause an international incident for a piece of frozen tundra?

What is the real reason that the Island nation of Greenland is so important to the Trump administration?

Lots of speculation but what is the real reason?

Are these amateurs really willing to cause a stir over Greenland?

Greenland Once Again

Here we go again!

It all began with Donny thumping his chest like a sex craved primate about the US need to take Greenland from Denmark…..and since the election the moves have been something to watch….

The newest move is to switch Greenland control from European Command to Northern Command….

The Pentagon is expected to soon shift responsibility for Greenland from US European Command to US Northern Command, according to officials familiar with the plan. Sources tell Politico that the change could happen as soon as this week. While the move is mostly symbolic, Northern Command oversees North American security and could integrate Greenland more closely into US missile defense plans, including the Golden Dome radar network. Politico describes the shift as “the most concrete step yet” in President Trump’s efforts to take control of the autonomous Danish territory.

The transfer has not been formally communicated to the Danish government, according to Politico’s sources, potentially generating friction with Denmark and raising concerns among NATO allies about US intentions in the Arctic. The shift would separate Greenland operationally from Denmark and the Faroe Islands, both of which remain under European Command. It follows a broader review of the Pentagon’s command structure and comes as US leaders cite Greenland’s geographic location as critical for monitoring Russia and China and enhancing missile defense coverage.

The US already maintains a military presence at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland, which Vice President JD Vance visited in March. Earlier this year, Danish officials committed $2 billion to Greenland security projects to address US concerns, but skepticism remains in Europe over Trump’s Arctic ambitions. Trump has said he would not rule out military action to secure Greenland. “I don’t rule it out. I don’t say I’m going to do it, but I don’t rule out anything,” he said last month, per the Hill. “We need Greenland very badly.”

What is the intentions of Donny and his little group of idiots?

Why the need?

We have about a gazillion satellites that could be used for many of the ‘needs’ that this administration says it needs….

Denmark should stand up to this flippin’ bully and just say Hell NO!

Is the US expanding its desire for imperial expansion?

This is a pathetic waste of energy in my book.

Why Greenland?

Has anyone considered why Greenland is such a big deal to the trump Administration?

Donny and his butt boyz have been trying to provoke some sort of response for the island of Greenland…..there have been many theories on why Donny wants Greenland so bad…..the natural resources or as a base for protection of the US or….like I said many theories but the only one that makes sense to me is the concept of “Freedom City”….

Just what is ‘Freedom City’….and the Robber Barons that are pushing the idea….

A handful of wealthy, politically connected Silicon Valley investors are reportedly eyeing Greenland’s icy shores as the site for a techno-utopian “freedom city.”

That’s according to a report from Reuters, which details a proposed effort to establish a new, libertarian-minded municipality characterized by minimal corporate regulation and a focus on accelerating emerging technologies like AI and mini nuclear reactors. Supporters of increased economic development in Greenland argue its frigid climate could naturally cool massive, energy intensive AI data centers. Large deposits of critical and rare earth minerals buried beneath the island’s ice sheets could also potentially be used to manufacture consumer electronics.

The so-called “start-up city”—which bears similarities to another ongoing venture in California’s Solano County—reportedly already has the backing of PayPal founder Peter Thiel and Ken Howery, President Donald Trump’s pick for Denmark ambassador. If confirmed by the Senate, Howery would lead US discussions to acquire Greenland. In that role, Howery could potentially act as a bridge linking the audacious freedom city investors with the US government.

The Reuters report cites claims Howery, Thiel, and prominent Silicon Valley venture capitalist Marc Andreesen are amongst the most prominent names backing the Greenland effort. Howery, who still needs the US Senate to confirm his position as ambassador to Denmark, is reportedly a long-time friend of billionaire Elon Musk and formerly founded a venture capital firm with Thiel. Thiel, meanwhile, has emerged as one of the loudest supporters, both vocally and financially, of the “Seasteading” movement, which is trying to build floating, stateless utopia cities in the ocean. Andressen, notably, is also part of a tech-investor consortium California Forever looking to build the city in Solano County.  Each of these efforts—along with others like the already existing city Próspera in Honduras—are united by libertarian political ideals, a focus on technological development, and lots of money.

Rumors around the proposed Greenland city date back at least to November 2024 when Praxis co-founder Dryden Brown fired off a series of tweets explaining how he had tried to purchase land in Greenland. Praxis is a self-described “internet-native nation” crypto startup with a stated goal of “restor[ing] Western civilization,” and has reportedly received over $525 million in funding to start building out new cities. Brown told Reuters he has since been approached by several companies to explore establishing a new city on Greenland.

There you have it….just another way for rich bastards to make more and more money while not having to worry about regulations, laws, taxes, on and on….this is not about enriching the nation in some way but rather doing so for their wealthy butt-lickers.

I say fuck’em….  these d/bags should be paying their way through the system and not being allowed stop using the US as their private ATM.

Time for people to realize that these slugs are not in it to help the working people but rather to milk all the energy out of the nation and use their ill-gotten gains to buy a yacht…we mean nothing to these parasites….we are lower than the lowest to them.

Wake up!

The Greenland Thing Is No Big Deal, Right?

Awhile ago Trump went back onto his claim that US should own Greenland and many people thought it was just him being a blowhard and that it was nothing to care about….that may not be true….

President Trump wants Greenland, and he’s reportedly making that very clear to its current ownership. The Hill reports that Trump had a “fiery” 45-minute phone call with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on Jan. 15, five days before his inauguration. According to the Daily Mail, the call descended into an “unprecedented diplomatic clash” over Trump’s insistence that US gain control of Greenland—which is autonomous but part of Denmark—is necessary to ensure America’s national security.

When Frederiksen said that the island isn’t for sale and that Greenland has a choice in its own independence, Trump reportedly became enraged and threatened to impose tariffs on Denmark if it didn’t give up the territory. National Security Council spokesperson Brian Hughes didn’t comment on the tone of the call, but he did say Trump is focused on Greenland as part of a global competition between China and Russia. “President Trump has been clear that the safety and security of Greenland is important to the United States as China and Russia make significant investments throughout the Arctic region,” he said in a statement.

Trump first mentioned buying Greenland during his first term as president, and the plan resurfaced prior to his second inauguration this week. A source told the Financial Times that Trump was “very firm” during the phone call with Frederiksen. “It was a cold shower. Before, it was hard to take it seriously. But I do think it is serious, and potentially very dangerous.” Another Danish official said the call “utterly freaked out” the Danes. “The intent was very clear,” they said. “They want it. The Danes are now in crisis mode.” Frederiksen’s office countered that it “not recognize the interpretation of the conversation given by anonymous sources.”

Apparently it is just not something he mindlessly blurted out but rather a real thing that he will throw a tantrum if he does not get his way.

And what will this divide do to NATO allies?

Will we see a 25% tariff on Danish imports because Trump is pissed at Denmark?

If so, there goes my cheese danish…..to be eaten no more.

I am still waiting for the promise of ending daylight savings to be implemented.

WTF? Greenland?

Before this situation gets swept under some rug…..

My regular visitors know that I am writing about Trump’s ‘big’ foreign policy statement about Greenland….it appears that he wants Greenland bad….so bad that he would consider US military force to acquire it.

He even sent one of his larva on an unofficial visit to the island…..

The eldest son of President-elect Trump arrived in Greenland on Tuesday for a private visit that heightened speculation that the incoming US administration could seek to take control of the mineral-rich Danish territory. (In a Tuesday news conference, President-elect Trump did not rule out the possibility of military action.) The Danish state broadcaster reported that Donald Trump Jr.’s plane landed in Nuuk, capital of the vast and icy Arctic territory. Local media broadcast footage of him walking across a snowy tarmac.

Greenland’s government said Trump Jr. was visiting “as a private individual” and that Greenlandic representatives wouldn’t meet with him. Trump Jr. is in Greenland for a day trip to shoot video content for podcasting. Mininnguaq Kleist, permanent secretary for the Greenland foreign affairs department, told the AP that Trump Jr. would stay for about four to five hours. The visit nonetheless had political overtones. The president-elect recently voiced a desire—also expressed during his first presidency—to acquire the territory in the Arctic, an area of strategic importance for the US, China, Russia, and others.

“I am hearing that the people of Greenland are ‘MAGA.’ My son, Don Jr., and various representatives, will be traveling there to visit some of the most magnificent areas and sights,” the president-elect posted on Truth Social on Monday night. “Greenland is an incredible place, and the people will benefit tremendously if, and when, it becomes part of our nation,” Trump continued. “We will protect it, and cherish it, from a very vicious outside world. MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!”

Since the acquisition of Greenland would mean a direct confrontation with a valued ally why is Greenland so important to Trump?

But he also wants to strike his largest ever real estate deal because Greenland is “massive”, he “loves maps” and because he is very, very stubborn.

Unlike all hard-nosed negotiators, Mr Trump doesn’t take no for an answer and took the chance of naming his ambassador to Denmark to revive the demand this weekend.

As his son Donald Trump Junior arrived for a visit to Greenland, Mr Trump declared: “I am hearing that the people of Greenland are ‘MAGA’.”

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/us/politics/2025/01/07/donald-trump-buy-greenland-denmark-minerals-security-space/

This is an absurd pronouncement….but then look who we are talking about.

Even our most loyal allies have something to say….

European leaders are taking President-elect Trump’s remarks about acquiring Greenland for the US very seriously. On Wednesday, the day after Trump said he wouldn’t rule out using military force, officials in Germany and France warned the president-elect against threatening Greenland, the BBC reports. “The principle of the inviolability of borders applies to every country—regardless of whether it is east of us or to the west—and every state must respect that, regardless of whether it is a small country or a very powerful state,” said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, per the Guardian.

Jean-Noël Barrot, France’s foreign minister, said “there is obviously no question that the European Union would let other nations of the world attack its sovereign borders.” He said that while he doesn’t believe the US will invade Greenland, a semiautonomous territory of fellow NATO member Denmark, the remarks show “we have entered an era that is seeing the return of the law of the strongest.” Barrot said European Union countries “must wake up, build up our strength.” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Wednesday that “the idea expressed about Greenland is obviously not a good one,” the AP reports. “Maybe more important, it’s obviously one that’s not going to happen,” he said. “So we probably shouldn’t waste a lot of time talking about it.”

Danish officials, however, are taking the remarks very seriously, CNN reports. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said Wednesday that the country is “open to a dialogue with the Americans on how we can possibly cooperate even more closely than we do to ensure that the American ambitions are fulfilled.” Greenland’s prime minister, Mute Egede, met with the Danish king on Wednesday, the Guardian reports. A day earlier, he said, “Greenland belongs to the people of Greenland. Our future and fight for independence is our business.”

What is this senile old fart’s game?

While we are at it the idea being floated that the Gulf of Mexico should be renamed the Gulf of America…..

Can the US unilaterally rename it the body of water?

President-elect Donald Trump is once again mulling a major, long-shot global grab — like pondering the “absolute neccessity” of America’s purchase of Greenland — ahead of his upcoming administration.

Now Trump is tossing around the idea of changing the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.”

The nations with the most “control” over the gulf are the U.S., Mexico, and Cuba, and for years have shared the body of water. The gulf serves as an important center of economic activity, including fishing, electricity generation, and shipping.

Why does the gulf bear Mexico’s name? It’s actually not a reference to the modern state of Mexico, but rather to a Native American city bearing the same moniker, and it has borne that name for more than 400 years.

Despite the fact that the gulf is shared by multiple nations, Trump recently said that the US does the “most work” on the gulf, and insisted that the body of water should bear America’s name “because it’s ours.”

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/can-trump-rename-gulf-of-mexico-b2675496.html

+++I am sorry to put it this way but I can think of nothing else+++

Has this old fart lost his fucking mind?

If this is any indication how the next 4 years will be then this country is so fucked.

Could this be a diversion?

Or is this egotist that fucking arrogant?

What will any of this do to help the struggling families that voted for this moron?

Questions that need answer….but will they be forthcoming?

Is Military Force On The Table?

After silly statements made by the president-elect I made my thoughts known on his first foreign policy statement…..

Is This Trump Foreign Policy?

The whole idea is ludicrous….but what he said after that statement sends chills up my spine…..

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has been rebuked in recent days by the leaders of both Panama and Denmark for his insistence that the Panama Canal and Danish territory Greenland must be under American control, and his latest comments on Tuesday were expected to garner more anger—and eye-rolling—from abroad.

At a press conference at his Florida resort, Mar-a-Lago, the Republican leader refused to rule out using military force to take over the canal and Greenland.

“It might be that you’ll have to do something. The Panama Canal is vital to our country,” said Trump. “We need Greenland for national security purposes.”

He added that both the canal and Greenland, the world’s largest island and home to a U.S. military base, are needed for U.S. “economic security.”

Under President Jimmy Carter, who died late last month, the U.S. signed a treaty returning the Panama Canal Zone to Panama in 1979, and the waterway connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans has been solely controlled by the Panamanian government since 1999.

Trump repeated a false claim that the canal is being “operated by China.”

Last month, after the president-elect demanded “that the Panama Canal be returned to the United States of America in full, quickly and without question,” Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino posted a video to social media in response.

https://www.commondreams.org/news/panama-canal-importance-us-history

Hopefully this is just one of his idle threats while chest thumping….like the threat to use US troops to invade Mexico back in his last admin….

There is a couple more totally absurd claims and threats issued by the clown-in-waiting…..

On Canada, he said he was willing to use “economic force” to acquire the nation, reports USA Today. “Canada and the United States—that would really be something,” he said. “You get rid of that artificially drawn line and you take a look at what that looks like, and it would also be much better for national security.”

Trump also continued to needle Mexico in regard to trade and immigration, per the Hill. “We’re going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America,” Trump said. “What a beautiful name. And it’s appropriate. It’s appropriate. And Mexico has to stop allowing millions of people to pour into our country.” Ally Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted that she would quickly introduce legislation to make it so.

Is this the beginning of an imperial America?

If this is any indication on the policies that the Trump administration is going to follow then I say the country needs help and the world should be prepared for the stupid to come.
