Those Damn Freeloaders!
I am not talking about the fairy tale of the “welfare queens”….the freeloaders are those worthless lumps of crap that we elect…….in case you are confused….CONGRESS!
This damn silly game being played….the shutdown……has brought a lot to light….like Congress who are government employees are exempt from a furlough during this time of government juggling…….I mean these turds work part time…..3 days a week about 120 days a year and yet they keep their benefits while normal workers…full time workers must be laid off to save money……
Even when there is no monetary crisis these ‘people’ get free stuff……like health care, mail, but the one that irks me the most is the gym……..
No more bicep curls on the public dime, say two House Democrats. Reps. Bill Foster and Patrick Murphy are demanding the House gym and spa be closed for the duration of the federal shutdown. “Members of Congress should not enjoy access to their exclusive gym and spa while Capitol police go without pay, children are being turned away from Head Start, and veterans are left wondering if their benefits will come in the mail on November 1st,” the pair wrote in a letter being sent to colleagues, reports Politico. Another, more appalling cut courtesy of the shutdown: The $100,000 death benefit paid to families of fallen soldiers. Back in the trivial world of congressional perks: “Not only are members still able to access the taxpayer-funded gym, sauna, and steam room while tens of thousands of federal employees remain furloughed,” the lawmakers write, “janitorial staff are still required to clean the gym and restock it with towels and other ‘essential items.'” The lawmakers are introducing a cheekily titled bill called the Shutdown Prioritization Act—or SPA Act—which would force the gym to close for this and any other shutdown. One aide says that the order to keep the gym open came directly from John Boehner’s office, reports Think Progress, which also notes that many House members live in their offices and use the gym to shower.
I thought we paid these people to govern the country….not hang out and waste time working on their 6 packs…….if they spent as much time on mental pursuits as they do crunching their biceps then we might have a country that we could be proud of once again……

Just what is there to look forward to if all the games breakdown?

US Civil War redux – Opinion – Al Jazeera English
I am seeing too much crap going on within the Tea Party…..it looks as if they want some sort of totalitarian government…..of course they will not admit it but their actions are getting suspect……
Could There Be Good News?
Day 10 of the most stupid of political gimmicks……….
The Right has the shutdown all the fault of the Dems…..the Dems say it is all the cause of the extreme Right of the GOP that owns it……..it is damn silly! But sports fans….most polls show that the majority of people think that the shutdown belongs to the Repubs……..probably not what the GOP wants to hear….but all they need to do is get that little weasel videographer that works for Breitbart to make one of his amateurish vids explaining how it is the Dems fault…..regardless what the polls say……some of our American brethren will NOT let facts get in the way of their stupidity……
For the last couple of days……there has been rumblings in the halls of “Foggy Bottom” that a solution is looking better and better………ya think?
Newser) – Signs of hope in DC: Both parties are increasingly pushing for an end to the government shutdown and a debt-ceiling increase, with President Obama set to meet with 18 top House Republicans today, the Hill reports. Those Republicans include Paul Ryan, who’s at the forefront of a short-term plan to reopen the government and raise the debt limit for several weeks, and then overhaul Medicare, Social Security, and the tax code, the New York Times reports. Mitch McConnell is quietly gauging support for a similar fix that would hinge on more modest policy moves, such as cutting ObamaCare’s medical device tax and giving federal agencies more freedom in implementing the sequestration cuts, Politico reports.
Conservatives are under considerable pressure to cut some kind of deal, the Hill notes—yesterday, a Gallup poll found a 28% approval rating for the GOP, a record low for a party. The Hill, the Times, and Politico note that the fight over ObamaCare itself now seems to be taking a back seat, despite opposition from Tea Partiers:
- “There is a developing consensus that this is a lot bigger than an ObamaCare discussion,” says GOP Rep. Jack Kingston. Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch puts it more bluntly: “I’d like to get rid of ObamaCare, no question about that, but I think that effort has failed … We’re going to have to take it on in other ways.”
- Ryan and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor each published op-eds yesterday in the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post, respectively; the Post points out that while the pieces called on Obama to start negotiating, they don’t list ObamaCare as part of the equation.
- “This is where we’ve been wanting to go all year long,” Ryan told Roll Call. “We’ve always known the debt limit is the way to get a budget agreement.” But he insisted that Republicans weren’t totally abandoning their ObamaCare efforts. “We’re bringing that to the table, too.”
Could there be a solution? One that will save both sides face?
What will happen with our fair haired by, Cruz? What will be his next major stand?
So tell me…..will there be good news or not?
I hope the end is near……I am so weary of this moronic drama!

Dysfunction Junction
I am so bored with this whole drama of the shutdown and the approaching debt ceiling thing……it is to the point where NO one knows what and who are the bad guys…….there are more excuses than hairs on my butt…..
There are many trying to find an explanation for what is happening to our government. Most of those are pundits that want a ideological twist makes better copy. They analyze and push some pretend problem and they hang on like a Pitt Bull with a leg bone.. few want to look at the real problem, the real dysfunction.
My thought is nothing like that of the MSM….to me it looks like tribalism, the tribal mentality. Tribal mentality is when loyalties lie with family, clan and then nation. I have updated the concept for 21st century US politics….whereas family/clan equates to party and/or group. Think about Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria…..once the government becomes dysfunctional violence ensues. Without a change of attitude or logic the US could be in for a violent decade in the near future……..

In the early days of our nation we Americans call ourselves New Yorkers or Pennsylvanians, etc….there was NO nation identity. This slowly changed after the War and the implementation of the Constitution—–we started thinking of ourselves as Americans. But today that process is slowly reverting back to the early days of our beginning. We NO longer search for solutions to problems of the entire country….now we work for what is best for for ourselves personally not collectively. The whole idea boils down…as only as I am okay, screw everybody else…….
The voter now puts themselves into camps controlled by propaganda….lies, misinformation and slogans and build a form of hatred for all others.
None of this abortion we called government will ever be productive again——that is not until the voters once again see themselves as part of a nation and not some tribe and start electing people that will work for the country first and foremost and stop supporting douche bags with selfish agendas…….To survive we must once again see ourselves as Americans.
The US is looking like some third world Banana Republic…….egotistical, arrogant leaders, a dysfunctional government and a population that is too cowardly to step up….in other words….the people need to become AMERICANS again!

Where Are The Solutions?
Day 9—Pathetic losers play the fiddle while the US burns…..we have so much to look forward to in the coming days…….
I would like to remind our crackerjack legislators that they are suppose to govern for the people of this country……these games are getting us nowhere and nowhere very quickly…….the only thing this shutdown has done is eliminate a lot of revenue for this country…has done little to save us any cash…….now if that is your idea of governing then apparently we have different ideas as to what these pathetic fools were elected to do……
With that said….are there any ideas for finding a solution to this brain teaser thought up by MENSA rejects?
There’s still no end in sight for the government shutdown. But if an end were in sight, what might it look like? CBS breaks down the possibilities:
- Moderate Republicans to the Rescue? Rep. Peter King has been leading meetings of his moderate colleagues. King has been an outspoken critic of the shutdown. “This never had a chance to work,” he said yesterday, according to the Hill, bashing the “suicide caucus” that caused it. But so far they haven’t come up with any viable plan, member Jon Runyan tells Roll Call.
- The Discharge Petition? Democrats have begun circling a petition which, if a majority of House members sign, would force a vote on a bill to reopen the government. But Runyan says that won’t work, because the petition wouldn’t kick in until after the Oct. 17 debt ceiling deadline. “It’s going to get real [bleep] on the 17th,” he adds.
- A Grand Bargain? John Boehner has reportedly been pitching a packaged deal to the White House tying the continuing resolution and debt limit to sweeping fiscal reforms. “Everybody laughed at him because they’ve heard this song and dance so many times,” one Democratic aide tells Politico.
- Democrats Could Give Something Up? A handful of lawmakers from both sides of the aisle last week proposed repealing a small part of the Affordable Care Act—the 2.3% tax on medical device sales—in exchange for reopening the government. But Harry Reid called the play “an act of desperation” and vowed to stick to his guns.
- Boehner Could Cave? But the speaker claims that, even if he allowed a vote on a clean bill, there wouldn’t be enough votes to pass it.
If none of those sound likely to you, you’re not alone. Despite frustration in the ranks, both sides’ leaders are barely even talking. “There may be a back room somewhere,” Boehner said yesterday. “But there’s nobody in it.”
Who will blink first? Not one of these asswads will take responsibility for the crisis that they are creating…..and when the time comes fingers will be pointed, speeches will be made and we will still be screwed, but someone will have secured their place in line for the bucks for their 2016 campaigns……and that will be the only winner in this dance of morons!
